I think theres a timer, but like I said, they let us enjoy our atmosphere and keep bringing the food without us saying. “Big Lou’s loves Big Ange’s Eatery! Great vibe! Friendly and courteous service. Excellent food! I personally had the Reuben. Owner Rokko stopped by our table and introduced himself. We talked about naming our businesses after our parents, Big Lou and Big Ange! Ended our lunch with their homemade ice cream which was smooth, creamy and very tasty! “We usually frequent another family-style Korean restaurant in Schaumburg - which we've loved over the years! Wanted to try something new for a change.Ambience is very cozy - booths (instead of an open space) with traditional touches!Food is DELICIOUS - let's get that out of the way!Some observations:* Salad/sides - tasty, free refills, 5 choices* Bulgogi and pork dish - lots of veggies used as fillers. My kids are 'carnivores' and as such don't eat any veggies. They see meat and attack! The amount of meat we get in each plate is very less.* They should have an option without veggies. We ended up buying 4 plates of bulgogi and 2 plates of pork - just for 3 adults and 2 young kids. One of them had miso soup and I had the bibimbap! Price is reasonable but with volume of less meat, it adds up.* They don't have individual miso soup bowls for kids. It's a large bowl with greens already in it. My kids HATE greens.* Wish there was a easy way to call the waiters/waitresses - no call button and with only 1 person speaking in English, you are at the mercy of that person crossing you or the other waiters passing the message! This also impacts how quickly they could bring things. For ex. we asked for the lettuce and miso paste at the beginning but got it towards the end!* Dessert was a nice suprising touch and we all loved it!Will definitely go back there...now that I know their menu and system better.“

Hot tea and water were offered once we seated Refreshing banchan were offered before our foods arrived, it doesn’t take long for our foods arrive. Crispy fried dumplings were good. Beef Raman noodles were not over cooked, The broth flavor was mild, but good. Beef bugogi was flavorful with rice on the side. Kimchee soup comes with noodles on the bottom side hot stone steamed rice along with the order. We all enjoyed our dishes. We get there right when they open. The place fills up quickly. Highly recommended.“

“I tried this restaurant because the other Korean restaurant on the same road has gone downhill quality wise. I have been going since. Their price is just $1 or $2 higher than the other one but the food is much better quality and larger portion. You can tell they are very proud of their food. They make their own kimchi. They check on you frequently to make sure you are happy with the food. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

We tried soy garlic & spicy galbi and they were tasty! They were both crispy and good flavors.Food was great, only complaint is the restaurant was uncomfortably hot. If you're a pretzel lover then you have to try these. I got honey mustard on the side as an option instead of the beer cheese. The service was good, but I would've liked to have been told that getting sweet potato fries instead of regular fries was an extra charge. When the options were listed it sounded like it was all an even substitute. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect, looks like a pub with televisions everywhere and nice folks around.“

We are always craving their food since there are a lot of tasty options~Few of our top favs!Honey garlic and gangjeong have been the top flavors fried chicken for us, perfect amount of spice and flavor and the chicken is nice and crunchy on the outsideTheir boneless options are good too pleasantly juicy on the inside with a nice crispy texturerose ddeok-bokki- the rice cakes perfectly cooked not too chewy not too hardperfectt texture and the flavors are so delicious. After we sat down to a half empty room, it started to fill up and there were not enough staff, not even a bus boy to clear tables.We ordered the Dolsot be Bim bop and the Yuk Guy Jang, which I order visiting new Resturants to see if they are consistent with authentic Korean food. The combo sandwich with brisket and pork, is phenomenal. The Porkys Beans with brisket, left me speechless. Outstanding customer service to go along with the great taste. Honestly wish I lived in the area, so I could eat here more often.“

“Visited here 3 times this year for the iftar buffet. It's was a very good experience all 3 times, mashallah. But I was a little disappointed in my 3rd visit. There were no vegetarian options in your buffet menu. I had a person with me who was a vegetarian and could not eat anything except your raita with fried rice. I would like to request the management to please have a couple of vegetarian options available in your buffet daily. Apart from that pleasant atmosphere friendly staff.“

The sauce i used ( they have 5-6 house made sauces) the sweet and spicy sauce, which paired perfectly.
