“Merichka's is one of those places locals have a special place in their heart for; they grew up with it and love it. The atmosphere is 50's kitch. There are several dining rooms and a circa 1940s bar. Other patrons heard we were new to the restaurant and told us we had to get the Poorboy "...it's what Merichka's is known for." It turns out their Poorboy Steak is ground beef plank (a long rectangular patty) on garlic bread served with pickles and lettuce for $14. We also got their Icelandic Cod sandwich (we chose baked over fried) for $15. We also had the Combo Appetizer- onion ring and fried mushrooms for $13. Both sandwiches are available on a plate (choice of potato or steamed vegetables and a salad) for $23 and $26, respectively. That is $10 for a vegetable and salad, if found that high. Dinners are also available for an additional $4 to the plate price (dinners add a relish tray). I decided to get the sandwich a la carte, so maybe it's a lot of food. The Icelandic Cod was prepared perfectly. Fish can be rubbery if overcooked, but this was tender and delicate. I was disappointed the bun was straight out of the bag, not toasted or grilled. The Poorboy was an unseasoned ground beef on garlic bread; it is definitely a skip for me next time. Their menu is extensive with chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, ribeye steak sandwich, and pork chop sandwich. Full meals include lobster, salmon, and steaks.Parking: There has to be over 75 parking spaces on the adjacent and neighboring lots.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with grilled cheese, chicken tenders, cheese burger, etc... it includes french fries and a beverage.Wheelchair accessibility: There are lots of stairs as soon as you walk in and stairs between rooms. I saw a ramp on the other end of the restaurant. You would go through the bar to get to a hostess stand (there are literally 3) and then be limited to the green room. There are stairs to the red rooms, and the bar only has high barstool tables.“
“Jose is normally my fiances and i's server. Perfect service and food every time. He is quick to fix issues. Very sweet guy. The atmosphere is so welcoming. I'm normally not a breakfast person, but I really do love it here and the food.“

They have lightning fast speed when it comes to getting your food! And the customer service is phenomenal! “The food was good. But the service (Stephanie) was amazing! Stephanie quickly kept our coffee filled, brought us specific coffee creamer. Took time to make us comfortable. She was funny and an absolutely great waitress. We got 3 omelets (Greek), (Motzarella), and another I can’t remember.“
“I have been to Magpies 2 times and both good. On 1st visit I had the Rueben and chicken soup. Recommend both. The corned beef piled high on toasted marble rye. Delicious. And yesterday was the second time. I had appetizers Wow. The shrimp and chicken waffles couldn't get enough. Stop by this little gem and see what you think!“
“Great food. Affordable prices. Family home cooking style. Nice salad bar with crisp fresh ingredients. Had liver with extra onions, salad bar, peas and carrots and baked potato. Desert was included but could not finish my meal, was too much! Recommend for down to earth eats.“
“This is definitely one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots to go to by where I live. The owners are Always there meeting and greeting each customer that comes in. It's a very good family atmosphere ❤️ Food is decent. I have zero complaints. It's like a Greek family style restaurant and the menu is Extensive! Something for everyone! Their homemade chicken rice soup is Amazing! I always get a side of lemons to squeeze in. The service there is very good as well. I can attest to this since I was in the service industry for over 10 years. * I just want to thank the owners and all the staff for the excellent job they do every time I go there.Parking: Plenty of parking is available. “I had recently post a review of what I seen at the restaurant and felt yelling at a waitress in front of customers was not something I wanted to support by eating at this restaurant it's just my opinion but then to find out she was let go we decided we're not going back to support this restaurant ! UPDATE 12/3/23 we returned to My Waffle restaurant after not eating here in 1 month our waitress was back we didn't ask how or why I'm just glad things worked out I do hope the Owner reads his reviews because some customers really care thats important so to everyone working at this restaurant the food is always good we're satisfied but as for what ever happened I'm glad adults figured out the issue we will be back.“
“I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The meatloaf was a but dry and could use more flavor because the sauce or gravy just was not to my liking. I also had the pineapple shake and it was good but like the meatloaf it could have used more pineapple flavor. Overall, the experience was great and the food was like home or hand made.“
“Stopped through the drive thru with son for quick dinner on our way to baseball practice. Sons food was good. My sandwich wasn't. After practice, I stopped to get a refund. Was given a refund, and the owner insisted on making a new sandwich. It tasted great! Great customer service!“
