I help with getting awards for the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, Mo, so I asked them if they would consider helping out with some of the champion cow awards with some cheese as a gift, there was no hesitation they generously donated cheese and curds for an added gift for the winners! We are so appreciative of them for this donation, being an out of state show they could have chose not to donate , but they didn’t, they stepped forward and made someone else’s day brighter because of it! “It's been a year since we have been back to highland. We made it a priority to come back to the Wooden Tie and they didn't disappoint us one bit! Took a group of six around 5 pm. We were seated right away. Service was excellent even with the increase of customers. Brisket was the main item but wraps and chicken nuggets were also ordered. Awesome home made chips. The vegetable medley is a must have! Side salads are well put together. We ordered giant pretzel sticks with a really tasty cheese sauce. Many more items to try but it is a must go to place every time we come back. Great food! Great people! And not too hard on your wallet!”

“We were there Saturday night and ordered 2 Western Burgers inside! Got them and started eating them outside and after a bite or two realized they were awful Spicy and not what we ordered! We went ahead and ate them after seeing on the bill we received wipeouts!! Never again5 too spicy for us!!”

“I have deemed Highland Scooters to be the best Scooters in the area. I have been to Greenville and Edwardsville Scooters and neither compare. Highland always has the best cooked and represented food out of those locations and they have never messed up my order.”

“The ice cream is delicious! Some unique flavors too! The employees are really really nice. They will have conversations and joke with you if you start talking. The place is full of bright colors and replicas of cakes. There are no chairs or tables inside but there are plenty on the square. They have little cups and cones filled with what I think is clay to show you what your ice cream with look like. They are definitely not stingy with how much ice cream they give you. Nor the toppings. :) They give you punch cards too! Definitely recommend if your in the mood for ice cream.

Dietary restrictions: Don't eat if your lactose intolerant. I think they have gluten free ones if i remember correctly.

Kid-friendliness: Just like you would expect, it's great for kids. It's ice cream!”

“It’s just a terrific bar and grill. The flattop grill is so well seasoned, the burgers are delicious. Chili is great but only available in cooler/cold months. Sloppy Joes in warm weather. If you’re nearby, it’s a must-do dining experience.”
