“After a very long day, we decided to eat close to home. We've eaten here a good few many times. Always, but ONE time, the service, food, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. This time was excellent as always. We love it and will go back as often as our pocket books allow. It's worth every penny. Sorry to see the Stirling location close. We hope no other locations will close. “Came for lunch and the place was empty, but the waitress told us to come back after ten when the place is rocking. We didn't but I believe her. First thing you see as you walk in is a sign saying all purses will be inspected. Another said no firearms. How rowdy I can only imagine. The place is big and a music stage looks serious. The food was quite tasty. I had the Alamo burger and it had to be four inches thick, at least. I could barely get my mouth around it. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich that was equally as big. Texas size we called it. She loved it. Breaded mushrooms were cooked perfect. Bar menu was extensive and the server uber friendly. P.S. they have slots in the back. Speaking of Texas size, my beer selection was about a foot tall. Largest glass of beer I've ever seen and a nice surprise.“

“Thank the heavens for this place. This restaurant is honestly the only restaurant left that I’m aware of that serves food with the utmost integrity, passion, and quality. Every other restaurant has sold their soul to make an extra dollar, but not Brother Daryl’s. I couldn’t be more thankful for this place. I’ve never encountered a restaurant that likes big orders like Brother Daryl’s does. Usually when I order a large amount of food from a restaurant, the employees are irritated and I end up with spit or urine in my food (I wish I was exaggerating, but it’s true). If you’re reading this review right now, you better be eating brother Daryl’s food or getting ready to order some because if not, I will send henchman to find you and strap you to a railroad track. Brother Daryl’s is the greatest restaurant ever that still cares about what and how they serve their food. Always hooking me up fat too. Idk how they could get any better. “Went for the grilled chicken Philly & OMG was that just the tastiest sammy!! Hoagie was warm & soft, chicken grilled to perfection. Mom got the Southwest Egg rolls, which were hot, crispy & soo flavorful! I'll definitely come on back...cuz that bartender took care of everyone with ease, drinks promptly served & food was ready in minutes. Great job Brink's!!“

“Been eating at this place since a kid and it brings life to the Nelson locals, the staff is friendly and treats everyone like family, the owner is always in the establishment always checking in on everyone as well as making sure everyone walks out with a smile, I’ve seen negative reviews and I can say with confidence the people leaving negative reviews are not being honest, you get fresh quality food for a very fair price, this place gets packed sometimes so the wait is a little longer then people expect but everything is being made fresh to order, I have some issues with my orders that have been happening more frequently like my fries being soggy and undercooked or my chicken being tuff and overcooked but it’s not very common but still disappointing other then that I have nothing to complain about, come in with patience and a empty stomach and leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face“
“Who would expect a fine Curry in rural northwest Illinois? The masalla chai delicious with a spicy bite and a creamy smoothness. It's a really small glass so you probably end up with 3 ounces of tea for $4.50. The food was authentic southern Indian cuisine. The crowd was sparse at prime Thursday night dinner time. So obvs I am a pioneer in discovering this place. The restaurant is attached to the Days Inn. The motel was also very lightly occupied. The butter Naan was tandoori cooked so it was crisp on the bottom and doughy in the middle- just as it should be! I have never seen lamb meatballs on an Indian restaurant menu. So....I ordered the lamb meatballs and they were fantastic. The curry surprised me. It was green and very coconut Thai like. So get off I-88 and stop for something else than fast food. Your MickeyDs will be there at the next exit.“
