“Saturday 6/11 we ordered $96 worth of food at the East State location. Went to pick it up and the owner asked what we needed. We stated we order food and gave her our name. She was lscrambling and said she doesn’t have an order for us. We ordered it online and she found it. She gave us 3 bags. We wanted to open them to make sure everything was there. She said “ I personally bagged the order, it’s all there,” in a sarcastic tone. Okay since she’s the owner we took her word for it. Got home and we’re missing 4 items. Called her to credit the debit card and she said she couldn’t but can give us a gift card for the amount. Food was hot, quality was pretty good. But honestly I won’t ever go back. For being the owner, and a local restaurant she was not friendly and didn’t even Thank us when we left. She needs training on how to greet and thank her customers. Paninos…STEP UP YOUR GAME!“

“Waited quite some time for our pizza even though we ordered it from home so it wouldn't take so long. Once we got there. It was worth waiting for. The waiter was new but he did a pretty darn good job for a newbie. My only complaint was a restaurant was so cold that I could have used a jacket. I heard others complaining of the same thing.“

“This place is a hidden gem. I live right down the road from it and didn’t realize it was there until my cousin told me about it. Best pizza in Rockford hands down. I don’t suggest the stuffed crust because the pizza gets a bit too thin at least for my liking for the normal crust pizza is amazing.“

Our first time eating there since the new location and I honestly thought it is not going to be as good as the State location but I was slapped in the face with the SAME delicious food and amazing service! “I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

“I've been driving past this place since they opened, but only recently had a chance to eat there when a friend and I stopped in to try it. My friend had pizza and I had an Italian beef sandwich. Our server were very friendly. The Italian beef was delicious, and I had enough left over to take with me. My friend was equally pleased with the pizza. Yesterday, I decided I didn't feel the cooking after I got off work, so I pulled up the online menu and put an order in. The online process was easy to navigate, and my order was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up at the convenient drive thru. The gal who waited on me was super friendly. I ordered the "baby" pizza - 6 slices, and the toppings were very generous; cheesy garlic bread with a side of sauce (which was in a closed container and wŕapped in cellophane just to be safe against spilling) and a canoli. Everything was excellent. I will definitely be ordering again when I am too lazy to cook!“
