“We stopped late on a weeknight after visiting family in the hospital. The server was great. Keeping my iced tea full will always earn you a good tip.Prices aren't bad. She liked her breakfast burrito and my buttermilk biscuit combo was pretty good.Even though there weren't many people it was noisy. A group of young women went to the ladies room and it sounded like they were holding the door open. I could hear everything they said in there from across the room.I would give this chain three stars, but the server bumped the score up a notch.“
“Came here on my lunch break and I enjoyed everything! Surprisingly it was not too busy for a Saturday late morning so I was seated immediately. Both the host and waiter were very kind and attentive. Although I was on phone, there was some nice music playing in the background and dining area was very neat and clean. Lots of windows allowed plenty of natural sunlight as well. I'm looking forward to coming again to try the chilaquiles or sandwiches. I had the waffle combo which hit the spot and the waffle was perfectly crisp but fluffy inside.“
“Very good brunch food. The skirt steak skillet is one of the best in the area. Highly recommend it. Their omelets are dense, soft and very well done. They are less fluffy than most and they hold their shape. Pancakes are a strong 8 of 10. Read my reviews and see that I visit tons of breakfast restaurants. Service was kind of below average. Could be we had an inexperienced waitress - who knows? Overall Angel’s Pancake Cafe is a good choice.“
“Hidden gem in yorktown. Was greeted by great staff. Very attentive and served quickly but the highlights was the food. Had the country fried steak and eggs and have to say that the sausage gravy was the best ive had in a while. My wife loved her veggie panini and we both had soups that were well above average. Definitely a place worth returning to!“
“The Challah French toast is AMAZING! We loved everything we ordered. I’m only taking away 1 star because the coffee was pretty terrible. When your food is next level, please serve coffee that is up to your clearly incredibly high standards! Intelligentsia? Metropolis? We have so many great local choices! But, overall, fantastic experience! We’ll be back!“
“I moved from Niles to the south side of Chicago about 8 years ago and it's comforting knowing the food here has not changed! Still as delicious as I remember and owner has kept the prices fair where other restaurants are price gouging. Love this gem of a place. It's hard to find good food with quality ❤️?“
“The best hollandaise sauce I’ve had. Ever. It’s made in house every day. And it’s PERFECT!I could wrap myself in it lol. It’s that good. The food is wonderful. All fresh. But the sauce. Unforgettable.Whenever I’m in Chicago, I come here for it.“
“Met up with family to meet our newest grandchild. The staff was gracious in seating us while we waited for the new parents to join us. We were seated in a back corner knowing we would have a newborn with us. My senior omelet was delicious, as was everyone else's food. I loved the friendliness of the staff.“
“This was a great experience. The atmosphere was great and the service was to. I am a person who's experience is largely influenced by the service and this did not disappoint. Our waitress was very personable and made sure we has a pleasant experience. She's the one from Costa Rica, if you go their. The food was very good. I had the steak and eggs and the steak was cooked perfectly as I ordered.I hope they keep up the quality of service because if they do, I've found my new regular breakfast spot.“
“Always a great experience here. It can get crowded on the weekends but I never have waited a long time to sit or for service. The food is very good! They have a lot of different options including fun shakes! My favorite is the southwest omelet! I loved it as a skillet and tried is as an omelet and fell in love! They have lots of fun pancake options as well. Good meal options with lots to offer making it not that expensive!“
“Wow, first time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Great food, great service! Will definitely be going back. Enjoyed my poached eggs, hash browns, off the bone hame & French toast! If you haven’t been to “Golden Bruch” yet, what are you waiting for? Go!“
“I had the nicest waitress I ever had and forgot to ask her name, but she was amazing she was mature with redish hair , and I had the best deep-fried hash browns ever, thanks to her, the foods she recommended was great , can't wait to return, and see her , I do recommend this honey jam “
“Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and good prices/value. Not a ton of savory vegetarian options. Most meat free stuff are the super sugary items. Also, the coffee situation is in desperate need of an upgrade. Tasted like nothing, it was just hot brown water.“
“Came here for brunch with a friend on a Sunday morning and it was packed! We were told it was a 25 min wait for a table (which isn't terribly bad for a Sunday) and were seated in less than 10min. Service was great and food came out fast. The atmosphere and decor is so cute! They have plenty of drink and food options. We got an omelet and a skillet and both were delicious! Such a cute little suburb spot. I'll definitely go back!“
“Been here a few times for breakfast and it's ok. We ordered the skirt steak skillet and unfortunately it lacked flavor. We tried adding salt and pepper but unfortunately it didn't help much. The service was good even though it was pretty busy. The coffee cup had lipstick most likely from previous user.“
“Been meaning to stop in and finally had a craving for a good burrito. I was not disappointed! Great fillings in a lightly grilled tortilla, accomplished by delicious sauces to add some zing. It's served cut so you can enjoy it as a sandwich. And I saved room for a generous serving of flan that was amazing. It was firm and delicately textured rather than the overly smooth custard that I've experienced elsewhere and had a wonderful flavor that I really enjoyed.Do yourself a favor and try a visit. I'm going back, and I bet you will too“
“A Chicago suburb hidden gem!! This place has a wide variety of tasty breakfast options that will make you wanting to try more. If you go and check out this breakfast place you have to get the Honey Biscuits to start out. The service was friendly and quick to get your food on the table. The place itself is a warm and welcoming little breakfast spot.“
“So right off the bat, if you like ham in plentiful supply, this is your spot. Pretty busy suburban joint, good for a variety of breakfast items. What I would recommend is anything with ham. I don't know if they have a pig farm in the back but these guys load your plate with ham to the point that white flags come out and pants get unzipped. I had the omelette (with ham, obviously). It was tasty - but the egg ratio to ham was too little. Next time I will, and would recommend the skillet with scrambled eggs. The omelette was super thin, where is the scrambled eggs that my friend had seem more proportional dish . Service was OK, not great. Coffee was not bad, also not great. Fresh squeezed orange juice is lights out though, so I would definitely recommend that. I will definitely go back, just a little bit wiser this time .“
“My first visit was at the suggestion of two friends visiting from Colorado and another from Virginia and I couldnt wait to come again for their corned beef. My seocnd visit and always packed and busy .I had a couple friends meet me for brunch on a Saturday. We had an hour wait but not a problem when Nordstrom Rack right next door lol. Our service was a bit slow this time but have a feeling the server was new and was doing his best. As we waited around 20 min to get water at our table . I noticed most had carafes at other table being served after they were sat. That is only suggestion I would make here. We ordered a pitcher of sangria and it was delicious!I had come for their corned beef but they had just taken off the menu but with St Pattys coming I'm sure it ll be back soon. I ended up ordering the smoked salmon benedict which came on a baguette and a small arugula salad . I enjoyed every bite. I love their fresh menu options and variety of healthy choices. Also their lavender drink is amazing and delicious . At the end we ordered their mini donuts that came with chocolate syrup and a raspberry jam.I would recommend trying this place you won't be disappointed.“
“I was a little disappointed with the execution: the hash browns were a little grey and soggy. The poached eggs were basically soft boiled and not runny at all.It was edible, and tasty of course, just not well executed. I probably won't choose this place in the future but it's absolutely fine for a small group and a standard breakfast. The only thing saving this rating was the delicious coffee.“
“Whenever I'm in Chicago I search for hidden gem foodie spots. I mean Chicago is literally foodie Heaven. We didn't dine in because we were trying to prepare for an event but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It's small and dark inside, and I felt like the tables were too close together. But they made up for it all with an AMAZING breakfast. I got the gyro skillet. Absolutely delicious!! The picture does it absolutely no justice.. I never thought of gyro as a breakfast item and now I know I need it often. There were huge portions of meat and amazing tzatziki sauce and nobody will ever call them stingy with the cheese because for every bite I got delicious feta cheese chunks mixed in. It was amazing. The pancakes were basic, there was nothing wrong with them but I'm not going to reminisce on them. But that gyro skillet!!! I can't wait to get it again“
“1/2020 Sandra is great leading the charge here. Love Gerardo's breakfast cooking! 2019 Consistently good. Breakfast is good. Salad bar and sandwiches are nice. Pretty good variety of food. Good for breakfast or lunch. Sandra the manager is nice. Always working hard and always smiling. Gerardo is awesome at breakfast time. Very pleasant to work with and he is a fantastic chef!“
“Food was good - highly recommend the pancakes. Nice portions...I couldn't eat it all. Our waitress was great. She was on point, attentive, & engaging. First time here and glad I saw it. We were on our way to a chain breakfast spot and I saw this place and wanted to give it a try.“
“Met a friend for breakfast & conversation. Comfortable, sunny dining room and friendly service. All the usual egg dishes, with some fun twists, and a dandy assortment of avocado toast options. Very conversation-friendly!Parking: Parking lot surrounds Egg Harbor and their immediate neighbors, plus street parking in the same block is also OK.“
“Somewhat quiet place to get a meal. Tried their shakshuka and was pleasantly surprised with how good it tasted. The staff were incredibly hospitable and were very helpful with answering questions. Their house made jam was also amazing and went really well with the English muffin.“
“From the service to the food, top tier! Not only is the surrounding area cute, but the inside of the restaurant is too! Sunday morning, we were greeted with warm smiles and seated immediately. Our server was attentive and sweet. The food was wonderful and packed with flavor. It came freshly made and quick. The server checked in at the appropriate intervals and even brought napkins half way through without us asking. We enjoyed ourselves and our food. Also, the London Fog was by far the best I’ve ever had.“
“Courageous Bakery and Cafe has some solid breakfast and pastry choices. My husband is a huge sucker for breakfast burritos and I am a huge fan of buttery, flakey biscuits. Courageous has both so it's a win-win for us! Besides breakfast, we would typically order croissants, cupcakes, and/or 4 inch birthday cake to go. None of those have disappointed us. The only downside is the horchata loca latte was somewhat mediocre in which both horchata and coffee flavors were underwhelming.“
“The food is sometimes great and sometimes you order a Benedict and get medium (closer to hard) yolks in the poached eggs and curdled hollandaise sauce like I got last Tuesday. When it's good, I'm a fan. But of the last 5 times I went, 3 we're good and 2 were bad. Also, if you are a tea drinker, don't order the hot tea. They bring it loose leaf with no way to remove the tea so it is already really over steeped before it even gets to the table and by the time you have it in your cup it's mostly tannins. When it's done right the province Benedict is delicious.Vegetarian options: The province Benedict is avacado, wild mushrooms, and tomatoes smothered in hollandaise on a flaky croissant. Not vegan, but a delicious vegetarian breakfast.“
“Finally tried out Southern Kitchen! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! From the perfect sized kids menu options, to the delicious biscuits and gravy, perfectly made hash browns, decadent cinnamon and sugar donuts, fruit smoothies and refreshing iced espresso- not one detail was missed! Check them out!!!!“
“I ordered through Uber eats and let me tell you, SO GOOD. I ordered a breakfast burrito but added special instructions for everything to be on the side because I wanted to assemble my own burrito. I ordered it this way because they only had one type of breakfast burrito on their menu so I ordered other things on the side that I also wanted to add to the burrito. They followed my instructions to the T and they give good portions! I would definitely order again or even dine in if I was in the area! 10/10 would recommend!“
“Another small cozy spot in the area. Your regular American food with a little south American mixed in. Can't complain, used to go here when it was under another name and then another before that but a quick lunch or breakfast is what they will deliver on.“
“First walking in my boyfriend and I were skeptical because the restaurant was empty but our experience with the food was fantastic. My boyfriend got the steak chilaquiles and they were phenomenal and I got the chicken and waffles which were crispy and flavorful. The Bloody Mary was a hit and the only thing we ordered that was lacking was the vanilla latte. I would recommend to friends and go back.“
“I did not feel like cooking breakfast this morning so I decided to order a breakfast burrito from here and it was delicious! The burrito was full of all the healthy good stuff. Scrambled eggs, red peppers, mixed greens, avocado and black beans all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The burrito came with a side of home fries (potatoes). You can get the salsas, the green one and orange one with a little kick and they both complement the burrito and add such flavor. I truly enjoyed it. It was the perfect size and quite filling, especially adding the side of potatoes. I've passed this bakery so many times and you notice it because it's so colorful and put you in the mind of an ice cream shop because the outside is so colorful. I want to try other items on the menu because their breakfast burrito was really good.“
“Give my girl Victoria a raise, employee of the month, or some sort of recognition. I am 8 months pregnant and she accommodated me while being the only waitress on the floor. I didn’t wait long for my food or drinks even though she was taking care of online pickup orders and customers inside the restaurant (about 30) She is a phenomenal waitress. She is kind. She is what many restaurants look for and jelly cafe is lucky enough to have her. Also, the Spanish omelette was great!“
“Our team walked in for breakfast thinking it was sit down, but it's all carry out. So we switched gears and enjoyed a great breakfast when we got back to eat it. My favorite part was the pancakes (huge and tasty) and the corned beef hash!“
“They just finished remodeling the interior about a week ago. The floor plan is now more minimalist, open and chic. There's a nice coffee bar in the corner. They have a children's play area for your kids to play before or after they eat. It has a little book case and 1 table with some blocks and a puzzle. My kids are obsessed with the English Muffins here.Kid-friendliness: Kids play area near the window and has a changing table and highchairs. Plus crayons and kids menus“
“Today I was adventurous and tried the Country Fried Steak. Really good choice, it has a lemon flavor on the gravy which was good. I'm a regular on Sundays but tried it Saturday Usually good service but today the male waiter was especially helpful. Coffee was never empty, he was asking before I had too. Saturday has a little more traffic than Sunday early morning but it did not take away from the coziness of the restaurant. Mood was actually more upbeat with all the chatter.“
“Kosher restaurant with delicious food! They have a pretty large menu with many choices. I always get the tuna melt on a onion bagel(which is really good). They have deserts and ☕️ coffee both very well worth it!Great little restaurant I highly recommend ?“
“This is one of my favorite places, it is excellent in service and food, breakfast in everything, and very good prices, the place is not very big but it is wonderful and very fast in making the food, its delicious green sauce and the attention of the people Wonderful, thank you, it is very pleasant to visit this place.♥️♥️♥️Kid-friendliness: Excellent place to attend as a family ♥️“
“I used to go here years ago, and this was my 1st time visiting in quite some time, however the nostalgia was quickly awakened from the first bite. My order doesn't change, I get the Denver omelet, and call it a day. The sheer size of the omelet of gigantic, and perfect for those famished. Hiding under the giant omelet are made to order griddle fried potatoes that pair perfectly with the omelet. You get 2 slices of toast, however I rarely have room for the toast, as everything else is filling.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options, but this is more suitable for meat enthusiasts.Parking: Have a connected lot, plus street parking available.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like breakfast?Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access.“
“Visited on a weekday, so business was slow. Food was good, as usual. (Hence, 4 stars!) I had a frittata, and my husband had the crepes with cherries. Server could have been more attentive to her one table, us. This place has been here for a long time, and we have visited it often. It looks tired now. Needs some "sprucing up." The ladies washroom is yucky. There's mold or something all over the ceiling tiles. Not sure we'll be back in the near future.Wheelchair accessibility: There's handicapped parking.“
“We were looking for breakfast while on the Highway. This place was 10 minutes out of our way, but well worth it! This was the best French Toast and the staff worked together like a well oiled machine. They were all so friendly and efficient.“
“They have the standard hotel breakfast bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruits, toast, pastries, and an omelet station. The staff was great. They constantly checked in to see if I needed more coffee or anything else.I went three times during my stay, and everything was consistent each time.“
