“ONLY BAKERY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!This was the first time I bought treats from this place. I ordered cupcakes for the staff members working at my son’s school. They looked great and I received good feedback from the staff members. I purchased individually packaged fruit cakes. They were delicious and well made. They were loaded with fruits and nuts. They were priced just right for the size. However, the other treats at the store are expensive. I paid close to a $100 for 15 cupcakes.Pros:Variety of pastriesCons:VERY EXPENSIVE“

“This Mexican restaurant in Lake County is truly the best! The steak burritos and pork tacos are fantastic—far superior to Chipotle. The lively atmosphere, with TV soccer games, creates a great vibe. “2020.New owners care very little about their customers. Burgers are pathetically small for the starting price. 2024- update. My wife and I decided to give another try and the burgers are back to a better size. We ordered the triple cheese with bacon and it was delicious. My only suggestion is to get rid of bag lettice( it tast like chemicals) and go with slicing fresh heads of lettuce. Service was on point too.“

I especially appreciate the well cooked and spiced home-style take of their gorditas.While their portions are not as large as their competitor close by. I believe their dishes more then make up for that with flavor and an authenticity. “We were looking for a breakfast place in Volo while waiting for the museum to open and this place didn't disappoint.its not much looking from the outside but the food was excellent.. we had ham off the bone ,my friend had egg pizza of some sort and it was amazing..the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Food portion was more than enough but we finished it all. The place was very clean. There's gaming too and a good size bar.. we will definitely come back for lunch next time and see what they offer..“

“I can't stress enough if you haven't tried these yet make it one of your regular spots. All of their dumplings are delicious, but the beef and onion are my personal favorite. It's usually a 25-minute wait for the pan seared dumplings, but they are fresh and cooked to perfection.“

“No wake is great. The servers and bartenders are really friendly. The prices at this bar are always reasonable. I always enjoy the food when I visit. Atmosphere is fun too. This bar is popular but gets more crowded in the summer months. Located on the Fox River it's always fun to stop while boating. They also have gas for refueling boats. There are also a lot machines and there is outdoor seating in the summer months. I would highly recommend visiting no wake.“

“I have been going to Hayashi for years. Whenever, I have a craving for Japanese strip steaks, sushi, or Udon that is my go-to place. Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and Excellent Ambiance. I would highly recommend this Japanese steak house. They go out of their way to serve their customers. In my case, I love to have their kimchi and they bring it without even me mentioning about it. 5 Stars.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available in their menu.“

“I've been going to Olando's for at least a decade now, and have yet to have a bad experience there. My most recent trip with my fiancee was no exception.The servers are friendly and helpful, the food is delivered quickly (even when they are busy), the portions are huge and the quality of the food is outstanding. While I've had their pizza before and really enjoyed it, I constantly find myself drawn to the "Bootie," an Italian beef sandwich topped with mozzarella cheese. It's got enough au jus in the sandwich to make it very flavorful (though next time I'll probably ask for some extra on the side, as I love sandwiches like this extra wet).My fiancee was impressed by the salad that came with her dinner, noting that it looked and tasted like it was made fresh to order. And she couldn't believe the serving size of her plate of lasagna. If there is a complaint - and I use that term very loosely - it's that there is so much good food served in the course of a meal that neither of us had room for dessert! “Let me just start off and say the service is AMAZING!! By the time I left I felt like they were my family lol. They were so welcoming and absolutely LOVED my daughter. “I had to kill some time, realized I was hangry! I stumbled across this quaint little place and I'm so happy I did. My fat self wanted biscuits and gravy which looked amazing. However my "it's almost summer" self decided on Avocado toast. It was absolutely delicious! Kiki-an adorable young gal who brightened my day was a wonderful server. I listened to her interactions with customers and everyone was laughing and smiling. It's mainly a breakfast and lunch place but they are open until 8:00 PM. I highly recommend this place.“

“We've been going to Ron and Pats for years, but their new pizza combo's are excellent. We just had the Sicillian with the thin crust extra crispy, and it's one of the best pizzas we've had there! “We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. “I recently went here with my family after a colleague of mine, recommended it. The first course that we had was calamari, and they were much larger pieces than I'm accustomed to, and the breading was a little bit soggy however, the second appetizer we ordered was clams, and it was absolutely phenomenal. “Loved SLYCE Pizza. My wife and I are big fans of coal-fired pizza. Where I'm from in the NYC tri-state area, the best Italian food is in neighborhood family tavern restaurants and those thin crust tavern pies are cooked in super hot ovens. SLYCE brings it all back. Quality ingredients, great suggested combinations, good service and pleasant ambience. There's a lot of pizza choices in Chicagoland and we drive 25 minutes to SLYCE. There must be at least 100 pizza joints in the 25 mile radius. I'll take SLYCE. Keep up the great work!“

My son and I ordered two burgers and two shakes and we were both more than content with the meal.I had the Mac Attack, and while it was good I probably wouldn't order it again.
