“Good experience overall! We went a little off peak so it wasn't nearly as busy but it still felt lively. Service was a little slow but the meal made up for it. Id you're thinking about upgrading to the zucchini fries do it! If you get the Jack Daniels burger, ask them to lather it in the sauce, it was completely missing it. Overall would come again“
“I highly recommend this place and the vibe there. Especially Alyssa and Nadine are the best bartenders there. I had a really great experience there and their service was awesome. They are so friendly and always welcome the customers with positive energy.“
“We love it here! It's a great atmosphere with super friendly staff. Good prices and even better food. Drinks are a good price too and they have rotating cans to try new beers every time we go. Our favorite menu items are the pizza, island patty melt, wings, and the Mac and cheese bites! This is our favorite location for date night and it's top of mind for a great bar to sit at. Plus you have bowling and pool tables right there as well.“
“Practically no wait at all to be seated. Our server Dana was very friendly and attentive with our table and got us refills without anyone asking. Pizza and calamari were both delicious, would definitely recommend, especially during lent as they even have a menu for anyone that can't eat meat because of lent.“
“Throw away your low expectations of "Bar Food" because this place has the BEST Food! Creative ideas that really pay off. Add in the fun bar activities like Karaoke and of course bowling and you have a great evening out. Bar Down and Popular Creek Bowl provides an exceptional and memorable night out. It's a place where you can enjoy top-notch bowling, belt out your favorite tunes during karaoke, and indulge in gourmet-quality food and drinks. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I'll definitely be returning for another night of fun at this amazing establishment.“
“Finally got to check out Schnell's Brauhaus the evening of Sunday 4/14, for the first time ever! Was in the mood for German food after having some fantastic German food at Kegel's Inn up in West Allis, WI this past Friday night 4/12 before the Luke Combs concert at American Family Field! My friend that recommended Kegel's also recommended Schnell's since she herself is German and grew up having her German grandma's amazing cooking from The Fatherland! Anyway, I ordered $125 of take-out from Schnell's this past evening and left a tip of over 30%! In brief, all the food tasted great (fresh, flavorful, and in large portions)! My order was accurate and ready for pick up in 20 minutes! For appetizers, I ordered the Brat Bite Basket, Curry Wurst with Fries, Bavarian Pretzel, and Cheese Curds! For entrees, I ordered the Veal Schnitzel and Sausage Platter, with sides of German Potato Salad and Buttered Green Beans! For dessert, I ordered the Apple Strudel! Like I said, all the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I think I might be dining in next time I come in though since I saw that the restaurant had outdoor seating in front plus the inside of the restaurant looked clean, cozy and welcoming (they had tvs behind the bar plus an arcade game section). In addition, there were entire families with kids having a great time both inside and outside of the restaurant! So, looks like I won't have to make the schlep all the way to Wisconsin nor ChIraq the next time I'm craving German food!“
“Baked French Onion soup perfect ✅Cheese Curds with Ranch Dressing - OMG the breading is light and crispy. And the ranch dressing is great (can't put my finger on the pinch making is special) North Avenue Pub Buger- good?North Ave BLT-yummy with applewood ? bacon.“
“I cannot comment on the food yet, but the menu looked better than most bars around, especially when considering the name. I unfortunately showed up right at the tail end of the evening when KARAOKE and the Kitchen were closing. Some people have all of the luck, right? Cheap drinks.“
“The stuffed pizza was very good! The thin crust, IMO, was just good. The service was very good, and the restaurant atmosphere was very good - clean, bright, modern, friendly. A fun and cheerful place to eat with friends and family!Vegetarian options: You can definitely order pizza without meat. There are salads and other options that can be ordered without meat, I believe.Parking: This is located in the Arboretum shopping area so there's plenty of parking.“
“I've been here a couple times, the food is always good. But I think what makes this place stand out to me is the level of service. The wait staff is always attentive and constantly come back to check on you, not in an annoying way, but they have it down to a science it seems. They are never pushy and always friendly. It's a great place for you to be able to hang out with a few friends and grab a drink and a good meal.“
“A new favorite! THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! The atmosphere is very chill and the service is good. the blonde bartender is the best (No names) The only reason I did not give Service and Atmosphere 5 stars is because there were a couple of instances where we walked in and were not greeted by anyone. The bar had not been cleaned from previous customers (empty drinks, dirty glasses, and food crumbs) and there was no clean spot to sit. We stood there for almost 5 minutes, watching the bartender talk to some guy at the corner end of the bar. She never even looked up for us to get her attention. Other than those couple of times, it’s been great! We also love to play the machines when we go there ?“
“I visited Peggy Kinnane's at the recommendation of someone I struck up a conversation with while waiting in line a few weeks back. I was told if I wanted really good food to celebrate St Patrick's Day that I should go to Peggy Kinnane's-and I was told correct! Even though I didn't quite make it for St. Patrick's Day, I did find the food absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is great! I definitely recommend checking out Peggy Kinnane's!“
“I had a chance to swing in last week and it's a nice, comfortable setting. The food was excellent if you are interested in Austrian/German bites. The people working here were super nice compared to similar tyes of places in the area. They even had a 50% off beer special going on! I will be returning for sure.“
“This is a really good local establishment. It's a small bar with what looked like a decent outdoor area. It was burger night and the smash burger was excellent. The birria tacos were also very good. This isn't some highbrow place... just a small local joint that is serving up a couple of really good items along with good drinks. The bartender was friendly and I was glad we went there.“
“The establishment is now called Angeli's. This restaurant is located right in the heart of a beautiful golf course, I wish we had planned to eat outdoot. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating to us, adding vegetables at no charge since we are vegetarians. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the vodka sauce was creamy and dreamy.“
“The bartender was excellent and very attentive to all the patrons' needs. When new people entered the establishment, they were warmly welcomed. We got our drinks right away, and the complimentary popcorn was a perfect touch. Thanks, Jill, for a great experience.“
“We came here for breakfast and we will definitely be back. The bartender - who was also our server - was friendly, efficient and attentive. My husband ordered the corned beef hash bowl and I ordered the Southern Benedict. The bowl had corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, cheese and eggs, and a side of toast. The Southern Benedict was an english muffin topped with bacon, perfectly poached eggs and sausage gravy, with a side of breakfast potatoes.Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned well, and right-off-the-griddle hot. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable. We will return to try some of the other dishes on the menu, and I would urge everyone else to do the same.“
“Basic dive bar in Villa Park with a few slots and an overall greasy a** feel. Fitz's, also known as the Irish Bulldog, is a pretty worn out looking place. It has what you expect in a place like this. Cheap booze and fried greasy bar food like wings and crap. The best things are the slots and TVs for basic entertainment. Came in for a bit. It wasn't busy but it felt crowded because the place is small. The crowds are kind of rough but they usually don't start fights and thankfully I haven't seen any yet. Beer is the best thing on the menu. It's $2 for a typical draft and they have the basic s*** like Miller and stuff. There's usually a few taps not working. Such a dive bar. The food is basic fried and greasy stuff. It doesn't have Irish food. They do occasionally like on St. Patrick's Day and so. Get some cheap a** beer. It's your best bet, including on the slots. The place smells like farts and fries though.“
“Came out to O'Hare's Pub for their Friday Happy Hour. O'Hares is an Irish Pub adjacent to the Midway Bowling Alley. They have a ton of tv screens which was perfect for March Madness. They also have slot machines, darts, and pool tables. The happy hour specials are VERY value driven! My partner and I both got Rail Drinks and split an appetizer. The beer nuggets were simple but good and a large sharing portion. The bartender Melanie was very personable; she was hustling while still making small talk with guests and had some great menu recommendations. We loved the neighborhood locals vibe, the value driven menu, and sports bar/pub atmosphere. We will be seeing you again soon enough O'Hare's!“
“We frequent this place ever week or every other week. Have to express that we love "T". Always does a fantastic job taking care of customers! Good dive bar with decent prices! We typically go during day and happy hour and have never had an issue. I feel that security could strengthen. Overall a good hangout spot.“
“My wife and I came here to see a band on the patio. This was our first time here. Was very easy to get a drink at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. The outdoor patio was nice - not to big - not too small. We were able to find seats in the grass to sit and listen. It was a good experience and we will definitely be going back.“
“We have been visiting the Blue Line in Addison 3 times a week for the past five years. Michelle, Jeff, Jackie and Shannon, prior to her passing, were a joy. We celebrated hockey wins, losses, birthday parties and just hung with some of the best folks in the world! Thanks to the five-star staff including the cooks and bartenders that made every visit a treat! Continued success!“
“We knew that Pam was working yesterday. We stopped by and had a very nice lunch. She recommended the chicken tenders and they were awesome. We had appointments to go to and when we were done we went back and had after work drinks with one other the true “Legends” of her craft. Thanks Pam look forward to hanging out with you soon.“
“Great food, good service at this establishment. Would definitely go back. I do however need to add one exception. When we sat down the bartender asked for a charge card which was fine. When I received the register bill it was just the amount owed and the bill was not itemized. I asked what we paid for and he verbally told us but I wanted to see an itemized bill. The bartender then spoke to one of the servers telling her we wanted an itemized bill and she approved. I have never been to a restaurant that did not supply me the customer either an itemized bill. I like to check my bill always to see what I am being charged. Over all I would definitely go back to Fritz's but would expect the complete bill.“
“Returned yesterday for drinks and wings. Always a pleasant experience until yesterday. Terrible service from Amber. First she brought the wrong beer. Instead of trying to make it right, she made no effort. I ordered fish and chips this time . Very greasy fish patties. My friend ordered wings. After 15 or more minutes of waiting, I had to ask the bartender for utensils and napkins. My friend requested additional blue cheese to go on two occasions. Never arrived. She smiled and appeared friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless, we left her an appropriate tip for bad service.“
“Great food at great prices. I ordered the beef bibimbap (forgot what it was called on the menu) and it was honestly the best I've ever had. Our server, Mary, was frequently checking in to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!“
