“This place is my FAVORITE. I’ve taken countless of friends and family here and we’ve all loved it every time. I even ordered the wrong salad by accident (forgetting which salad I actually intended to order) and I went back up and they just gave me the one I wanted free of charge and told me to just enjoy and leave a good review :) so here I am. Wonderful customer service, excellent restaurant vibes for such an affordable and delicious experience. They’ve got a forever customer out of me!“
“No pics of the food because i gobbled it down as soon as i got it. Amazing!! The rice was out of this world delicious! I haven't enjoyed a rice dish this much in a long time. So freaking good. The chicken and lula kebab were also pretty delicious. The flavors were on point, and the meat was incredibly juicy!! Definitely going back.Get the lunch special. It's worth it.“
“Place has an amazing smell of home cooking, clean and inviting atmosphere. Food was delicious, full of aromatic spices, beautifully arrange on the plates.Cup of Chai was a perfect final accent.Special thanks to talented chef ?Can't wait to visit this restaurant again!“
“Outstanding Dining Experience at Wild Pita RestaurantMy recent visit to Wild Pita Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The food was superb, offering a delightful array of Mediterranean flavors that left me thoroughly impressed. The service was equally commendable, with the staff providing attentive and friendly assistance throughout the meal. From the welcoming atmosphere to the knowledgeable staff, Wild Pita Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations, making it a must-visit dining destination for anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience.“
“We did not dine in but I gave the venue a 5/5 for being quiet despite the many customers who were dining in. We ordered online and it was such a convenient way to order food and they were ready at the time I indicated for pick up. Picking the food up was also a breeze as there was an associate who directs you as to where to go or which line you have to fall in line in. The food was super delicious. We ordered 2 combination feast and the beef shish kabob so we can taste all the various meats. The meat were very tasty and tender. Also we had a generous amount of rice and the salad was fresh. The lentil soup was full flavored and has the right temperature to savor right away. The garlic sauce is highly recommended!!! My daughter loved the combination of the hot sauce and tahini! In short we truly enjoyed the food and the service. This resto is highly recommended. We even googled this restaurant to know more of its history.“
“I’ve never felt so welcomed, at a restaurant, in my entire life! Everything about this place is 100/10. If I could give them more stars, I totally would!! Highly recommend everyone to check them out! My very first time at an Iraqi restaurant & it beat my expectations by millions!! Beyond happy with my experience here, can’t wait to return. Mashallah“
“Ordered a beef schwarma dinner with a yogurt cucumber salad and coffee. My dinner was excellent. Our server went above and beyond, was warm, welcoming and polite.. And overall the atmosphere was nice. Only complaint is there was a considerable draft of cold air everytime the door opened.“
“Middle Eastern Kosher. We had a pleasant light lunch with pita sandwiches off the grill. Don't miss the Yemenite soup. They have a kids menu that was just fine for our three year old.Dietary restrictions: Kosher-meat-CRC certificationParking: Located in a strip mall with shared parking“
“Shish Kabob and Grill is definitely a go to place of mine for great food. The server always greets customers with a smile and he even remembers my usual - the Beef Kabob. It's a welcoming restaurant for everyone who comes in, has a good selection of food, and you pay for what you get every time.Parking: The parking lot has a lot of space due to the area it is in. There's always parking right in front of the building so it's a short walk.Kid-friendliness: The server is friendly with all customers including younger ones. Always checking in to make sure pita bread is filled and water glasses are full. Helps clean up messes that are made as well.“
“Food is amazing! I always get the combination platter and it’s so delicious. Best Baba Ghanoush I’ve had- it’s my favorite thing on the menu. Can’t forget the baklava- so good! We always pick up & it’s easy to order online & my order is always correct. This is our new favorite local spot!“
“We were told by people that this IS the place to go for Middle Eastern food, so we had to give it a try.We were greeted as we walked in and I have to say, the folks here are the friendliest we've had. Now to the food...I had the Kufta Kebob and my wife had the Chicken Shawarma. The server brings out a Salad, a plate of Baba Ghanoug and a plate of Hummus. All three dishes were outstanding. The main courses arrives and I feel that it was the best I had ever tasted. The Chicken Shawarma was also delicious and the rice with the dishes were moist and flavorful. We will be returning to EZ Shawarma very soon to try out the rest of the menu!“
“We stopped here for breakfast with a friend and Hassna was wonderful, she answered all our questions about every dish and confection. Many of the Moroccan dishes i hadnt tried before so i wanted to try the stuffed Msemmen, fish pastilla, and shebekia. I really wanted to try basbussah, but it had Dairy in it which I have an intolerance to. We got all the and it was delicious! We also ordered Moroccan mint tea which was perfect. Hassna offered to teach me how to cook Moroccan food which was so generous and kind, I wish I lived in the area I would love to learn!“
“Jerusalem Cafe is like a cheat code for affordable, nutritious food in Oak Park. It's just about the cheapest place to get tasty salmon in downtown OP, and all the food is reliably delicious. I've lived here long enough to remember the restaurants that used to occupy this space, and I'm glad Jerusalem Cafe has stuck around.“
“A Taste of Authenticity at Al Bawadi Grill!Prepare your taste buds for a journey of flavor and authenticity at Al Bawadi Grill—an absolute gem of a halal restaurant! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the warm aromas of spices and the inviting ambiance of this charming eatery. Whether you’re a fan of tender kebabs, flavorful biryanis, or rich and creamy hummus, this place has it all, and it’s all halal! The star of the show, for me, was undoubtedly their mixed grill platter. It was a carnivore’s dream come true, featuring perfectly grilled lamb, chicken, and beef, each bite tender and seasoned to perfection. Pair that with their fluffy, fragrant rice and a side of freshly baked naan, and you have a meal fit for a sultan. Not to be outdone, their vegetarian options are equally impressive. The falafel was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and paired perfectly with their tangy tzatziki sauce. And don’t even get me started on their array of flavorful salads and appetizers! To complement the incredible food, Al Bawadi Grill offers a selection of refreshing beverages, from traditional mint tea to freshly squeezed juices. It’s the perfect way to cool down and savor every bite of your meal.In conclusion, if you’re craving an authentic taste of the Middle East in a welcoming and cozy setting, look no further than Al Bawadi Grill. “Best Mediterranean Food in the area! Clean seating area, and most of the staff are helpful if you're not familiar with the menu. The food is fresh and largely made to order. I have dietary restrictions and they are respectful. Food is well seasoned but you can ask for more heat. Simple and delicious“
“I really enjoyed my birthday dinner here.Food was delicious as we ordered a fatoush salad & steak kabobs. It was mouth watering delicious!!! It was great Mediterranean food. Service was really good too. I will be back in the very near future...this place is a hidden gem for sure!“

“From the moment I stepped into North Avenue Falafel for the second stop on my Ramadining adventures, I knew I was in for something special. Opting for the combination special was a decision I’ll never regret. This platter is a culinary journey that brings the best of the Middle East to your table - featuring beef kabab, chicken kabab, kofta kabab, alongside a chicken shawarma sandwich that’s nothing short of a masterpiece. The chicken shawarma was exceptionally moist and flavorful, wrapped in a cloud of pita bread that carried every bite to new heights. But it doesn’t stop there. The accompaniments - rice, baba ghanoush, hummus, fatoush salad, alongside generous servings of garlic sauce - each added layers of flavor that complemented the main dishes beautifully. It was a symphony of flavors and textures that danced harmoniously on the palate.North Avenue Falafel has truly outdone itself, creating a space where food transcends mere eating; it’s an experience, a celebration of culinary excellence. The warmth and authenticity of this place are unparalleled, making every bite feel like a slice of home, no matter where you’re from. For anyone embarking on their own Ramadining adventure or simply in search of exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine, North Avenue Falafel is a must-visit. Their chicken shawarma alone is worth the trip, but it’s the whole package - the food, the ambiance, the hospitality - that will keep you coming back for more.“
“1st time here and was absolutely delicious ?Their homade hummus was delicious ? as was their chicken kabobsBy the amount of traffic that was coming in and out, must be a popular place.Great service too, very kind & friendly workers. Will definitely be coming back!!You get what you pay for, lots left over to take with you.“
“There's this hidden gem behind all the corporate dining places in Village Crossing. As you approach the entrance, you'll be hit with the most delicious Middle Eastern cooking aroma. Once you're inside, your senses will come to life! I'm no stranger to Middle Eastern food, so I ordered my go-to dishes - the combo plate and a side of French fries. And guess what? You can never go wrong when trying out new restaurants. The person who took my order was super nice and always had a smile on their face. After ordering, they asked me to take a seat, and within a few minutes, my first course arrived. I got a bowl of homemade lentil soup and a fresh pickled salad, and let me tell you, they were both amazing. Not too salty, not too bland, just the perfect amount of magic. In no time, the main course showed up - a plate of rice, a falafel, and huge chunks of skewered beef and chicken. The dish was served on what I believe is the best shawarma in Niles! The portion size was worth the price, and I even had enough left for a midnight snack later on.Here's a fun fact - Middle Eastern restaurants, particularly those that specialize in street food, make the best French fries. I think they use the same oil to fry the falafels, which is why these fries were an 8.5 out of 10. Trust me, that's a good score!Wheelchair accessibility: Low tables and thier is someone around to help you in and out of the doors.“
“They have a new location! They moved from their old one. The new location is at 1935 lincoln park west. They replaced 'Mesa Urbana'.The food as always is perfect! Seasoned well, cooked tender and juicy, and incredibly large portions! If you like Mediterranean food, this is a absolute must if you're in chicago! The included pixtures are the shwarma fries, hummus, and beef shawarma atop rice!(for some reason I cannot inclue my pictures? I'll edit if It decides to work again)Everything that leaves this kitchen is absolutely divine, and I cannot offer higher praise for a restaurant.Parking: Free parking! Plenty of room“
“WOW. Simply delicious I'm not really into fast food places but this this place you can really get a good selection of freshly cooked food. I had a beef wrap but I liked it so much that I had to try another thing and I went for the combination plate which was even better the french fries were out of this planet you can really taste the freshness not the old oil like the chain restaurants. I really recommend it and hope you enjoyed it.“
“First time here. Food is amazing and fresh. I forgot to take photos of our main dishes. I always order chicken schwarma. The lentil soup taste was great. The falafel was fresh. The salad was yummy and not soggy. Hummus you can’t go wrong with that either. I give a ten out of 10. I hope this helps.“
“I ordered the shish kebab, kufta kebab, and chicken shish tawook to share for lunch. Everything was ready in 15 minutes. Each dish was served on a bed of golden rice with a small salad on the side as well as a tasty homemade sauce. I asked for a couple containers of hot sauce as well. These are the best skewers I've had. Everything was tender and juicy, especially the lamb! I hope they bring back the lamb chops platter.“
