“A solid Vietnamese restaurant on Argyle Street. Saw several posts on Instagram recommending this place so decided to try. I was pleased to see they offer Bun Rieu ( tomato & crab) soup noodles as not all pho places serve this. The Bun Rieu was on point and came with a good variety of veggies. I also ordered the char grilled pork vermicelli bowl which came with a generous portion of pork. Note, they open at 10 am, even if they don't answer the phone. Paid street parking. I recommend and will return!“

“I enjoyed a late lunch with Hen Banh Da (Clam Salad) and Mi Quang. Clam salad was everything I imagined it to be and mi quang was underwhelming — lacked flavor and yellow rice noodles were overcooked; I had to add more fish sauce for flavor.Attentive service. I will try this place again and order other offerings.“

“Very clean and cute shop with wonderful service. The people were very polite and food was quick. I got the orange chicken and it was outstanding. A lot of place use a sugary/ fake tasting orange sauce, but Broccoli has a very authentic and delightful taste. Our appetizers were super good, too. I was in town for a convention but I'd happily drive the hour it takes to get there to eat at Broccoli again.“

“Driving by with some friends and we noticed this spot and decided to stop by since we're bánh mi aficionados. The number 1 special was fantastic. My only critique on the banh mi is that the bread was a bit crunchy so it scraped the roof of my mouth pretty good but I'll pay that price anytime. Definitely hitting this place up whenever I'm in town again.“

“Vietnamese people support Vietnamese people, but no matter what, it must be evaluated as such. The banh mi and pork sausage are just average and cannot be called the best.As for the roasted pork, it still hasn't reached perfection, but if you crave ?, you can eat it for now.You can eat rice and wine, but you can't eat them.Food is a bit less than before. But still support.(Forgot to take pictures)“

“Absolute gem. It’s just one of those hole in the wall restaurants that have food that’s to die for. I got the pho tai nam (if I’m not butchering that) and the broth is one of the most flavorful broths for pho I’ve ever had. The meat was generous and not fatty . They have an adorable upstairs seating area as well. Their bubble tea was fantastic too! The boba is cooked perfectly and the tarp milk tea is smooth and sweet :)“

“Super fast, solid quality Pho in a cute, no frills restaurant. Rating 9/10 | Cost $13 a bowl Pros: Speedy, simple, tasty, good variety. Cons: None Dropped in for dinner and from seat to food was less than 5 minutes. The interior was cute and simple, the staff were polite and quick. The food was above average and very worth the price and the speed. If you eat fast you could be in an out in 20 minutes. Plenty of parking and some unique menu items like caramelized catfish so I plan to come back again! Exactly what you need when hung over or just hungry.“

“Truly a hidden gem! I never would have found this place if it wasn’t for google maps :). They had so much good stuff in here. I got the banh bao (still warm), banh gio (freshly steamed), banh tieu, some eggrolls & some flan! I loved that the banh bao was full of hard boiled egg & sausage & they didn’t skimp on those fillings. The banh gio was still super warm when I got home and hour later. And OMG the flan was the bomb!!! It was so silky & smooth. I think it’s cash only but totally worth it & the cashier was super nice. I didn’t try any of the tofu & soy products this time but they looked good. Everything was fresh. Will definitely be back to get my viet snacks & sweets fix. Come early to get more of a selection.“

“The experience at Umamicue is TOP TEIR! Charles is not only a true pitmaster, but a wizard with combinations. The Bahn Mi is out of this world, and the smashed cucumbers made me actually like pickled things (I normally hate vinegar)! The brisket brought me right back to Austin,TX and the crispy pork belly was absolutely insane. Pair that with the best crab Rangoon I’ve had in my life, and this place just HITS.All of that to say, you won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu. The food is great, the ambience is fantastic, the drinks at Spilt Milk are awesome, I can’t say enough positive things. Just go and you’ll thank yourself later.Parking: Parking was pretty easy to find on the street.“

“It's hard to get a bahn mi to be well balanced and I think this place gets it right. I'm a sucker for ginger chicken and it was great, the pickled veg rocked and the bread (arguably the most important component) was outstanding. Liked the counter style ordering and the tea I got was pretty good, I don't know tea so I got no notes. Nice music too and service was quick.“

“Very nice place for quick grabs. It’s just like a typical ordinary pho place nothing fancy, small but clean and comfortable. We had the pho and it was surprisingly good. The broth was on point, flavorful and well seasoned. Most importantly the portion was bigger than most pho places.Service was quick and simple. Would definitely come back regularly for pho and try other dishes.IT’S CASH ONLY!“

“I love pho. I'm more a broth guy than the noodles. I ready admit I've failed every lesson on eating rice noodles with chop sticks. I wouldn't be surprised to go on YouTube or TikTok to find me making an idiot of myself. Service was lovely and efficient. I ordered spring rolls which were delicious. The dipping sauce was not what I'm accustomed to. It wasn't peanut based. I asked for the pho without added protein. Very flavorful. I enjoyed it. Fat man will return!“

“One of our go to restaurant. Parking can be quite difficult after 7pm, so we try to get there b/n 6-6:30pm. Metered Parking is available on the side street along Lincoln Avenue. Casual atmosphere, good ambiance, great service, flavorful dishes, and reasonably priced.“

“We tried Pho no. 1 Brewing tonight and we were really happy with it! We’ll be back again for sure! The Pho was a little sweeter than I expected, but it was my first time having it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The beef skewers, egg rolls, and wings were amazing. All four of us left full and happy! Definitely recommend!“

“This is a small and casual pho place in uptown. They had a variety of options, and I chose to get the vegetable pho. It was very fresh and refreshing. There were many vegetables and tofu. With the addition of all the sauces and lime it turned out to be a very delicious meal. The portion size is large and the menu has a lot of different food options. The food came out very quickly and it was an affordable meal.“

“So besides the usual chicken noodle soup? When we're not feeling well, we will consume Vietnamese Pho from @cocoravenswood Their Pho consists of: slow simmered beef broth, sprouts, basil green onion, and jalapenos We like to get their Sliced Rare Beef (Pho Tai) or Well Done Brisket (Pho Chin). Then we will add a Grilled Pork or Grilled Beef Banh Mi Sandwich. Since the pandemic, they have shifted to carry out our delivery only. We have been coming here for a while, and the delicious food with reasonable prices keep us coming back.“

“Phenomenal food, fresh, delicious and cocktails were outstanding... cant wait to go back. Service was amazing, and our server was very attentive. Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! Everything there was breathtakingly beautiful. My only complaint, a small one, was that the tables were very close together. Other than that, all good. Will definitely be going back!“

“Bo la Lat- 9/10 Banh Xeo- 9/10 Bbq Banh Mi- 5/10 Combo Pho- 6.5/10 The appetizers were fantastic, but to be honest the Banh Mi was pretty mediocre and the pho broth was good but the meats were not very tender compared to other phos that I've had. Our server was really nice !“

“This is my first time to write reviews for this restaurant. It's a lot smaller than other restaurants in area. However, tables were clean and super friendly staff. My wife who ordered the Pho đặc biệt and she said it was delicious and the flavor just about right. However, my son who ordered the Bún bò Huế, according to him, the broth needs to have little more Mắm tôm, then that would make it perfect like homemade. I ordered #98 and the meat was perfect marinade, soft and tender. However, the fish sauce needs a reduce the salt a little bit. We would love to come back and try their other dishes near future.“

“Don’t let the name fool you. This place is as authentic as anything you’ll find on Argyle. They have all the usual dishes but come here to try something less common. I had the crab rangoon and liked their homemade version of this typical guilty pleasure dish. Then I had Bún Riêu which was light and flavorful. It’s attached to a Filipino grocery and seafood store, and some other Filipino and Asian food stalls, restaurants, and bakeries so there’s lots to explore and taste.“

“It was a pleasure dining here at 2 Asian Brothers! They have excellent food and also very flavorful! The staff were very kind and courteous and prepared the food as I requested - without cilantro. They also checked to make sure we were satisfied, and I assured them that everything was delicious! I ordered their classic Banh Mi that tasted very fresh and authentic compared to a lot of other Banh Mi places I've tried in Chicago. Their serving is generous and fair. The staff was very sweet and they have cozy counter service place with an expansive menu of quality offerings. I will definitely come back again!“

“went here on a saturday around lunchtime and managed to snag a table without having to wait. service-wise, this was not the best experience. we did unfortunately have to wait quite a while to order, and once we did place our order, the staff ended up forgetting about our order until we called someone over after waiting for over 30 minutes.food-wise, i thought it was fantastic. we had the special 777 (pho dac biet), which was full of different kinds of meat. i don’t eat a lot of pho, so i’m not the most experienced judge. i thought it tasted great, and i loved it even more when i added chili oil to my bowl, but my vietnamese friend thought the broth tasted slightly too fatty and not fragrant enough.“

“My first time here, and it definitely will not be my last. I had the beef bahn mi and my wife the chicken cutlet. Both were really good, the French rolls that they make them on were extremely fresh. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good bahn mi sandwich to come here“

“This place was clean, warm, and friendly. I ordered rare steak phó. No one seems to actually serve it rare anymore, though. I used to love it when the meat came to the table in a place raw and separate from the broth. Perhaps it's different in different places. The broth was bland, like it hadn't had a chance to simmer long enough for the spices to meld. It's a popular place, though. As I sat there, more and more families arrived to fill this place up. So maybe I'll give this place a try. There is nothing like finding YOUR Phó spot that you can rely on for *really - good - pho*. I'll be back to try again.“
