“Last night was our first time here. We went to see our friend play in his band. It's just your typical neighborhood bar, but the place is very nice. Our server was great. It was very clean. The food... AMAZING! My wife and I both ordered the popcorn shrimp basket, and it was great. The fries were very lightly seasoned with ranch seasoning and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was delicious and cooked perfectly too. It is also set up really nicely for listing to live music. The only negative is the parking lot is small, so getting a spot in front is difficult. Very good place. Would recommend. Definitely want to go back.“
“Jerry has the best service at this establishment. Jokes are on point as well. Very attentive with our food. He made sure everything was hot and out to our table quick. Drinks never made it to the bottom before we had another drink (best part of it)Super nice and chill guy. Jerry you the man!“
“My wife planned my surprise 40th birthday at Region. From start to finish the night was perfect. The food was impeccable and very well cooked. The staff was amazing, extremely helpful and just pleasant throughout the entire night. Everything went perfect and i would recommend anyone to have their private event at Region.“
“We were a party of 7, had a 5:00 reservation. As usual the service was fine and the food was great. From lasagna to the special (ravioli with beef filling and a meatball) everyone's food was served hot and delicious. Desserts were great too! I had a marvelous tiramisu and others had their great lemonchello cake. My only concern was for 7 people they should have brought us 2 loaves of bread instead of 1. Plus no EVOO and parmesan were not offered for the bread.“
“Food was very well prepared. Some flavors here that you can only get here. Very good wine list. Importantly, the "buzz-free" drinks were fantastic! The service was not rushed, which was nice for our party. We had a delightful time.“
“What a delight! We went for my son’s 5th birthday and it was phenomenal! The show kept the attention of my two yo (which says enough in and of itself). The falconry was spectacular, the horse work was true craftsmanship, and the nights gave a wonderful performance. Greatest thanks to our “man wench” Christopher who made this evening truly special. His attention to character, wittiness, and above and beyond service made the evening truly a night to remember! We look forward to coming again.“
“I enjoyed the Escargot, Oyster Rockefeller, three cheese potatoes, Mac and Cheese, an the cocktails. Steaks looked great and large enough to share. But the most important item was the bar service staff! They were amazing! I recommend anyone going!“
“Fun place with lots of regulars. Staff has been there for many years even when the original owner sold. Great place to go. Even if you have wait a few minutes for a table, it is totally worth the wait! Go and enjoy! Also try the soup, you will be glad you did!“
“We had a delightful evening at this restaurant! Despite arriving late for our 8 PM reservation, we were promptly seated. The ambiance is upscale yet welcoming. The oysters were superb, and the chef graciously provided off-menu options for my vegetarian wife. Our server was outstanding, and the bar drinks were satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon dish, and the cheese bread was delicious, especially when paired with olives. Overall, a five-star experience—we'll definitely return!“
“Came on a Wednesday morning and were seated promptly. Started with a caramel machiatto, which was excellent. Eggs were perfectly cooked. I had them with the bacon , which was thick and crispy. The breakfast potatoes are seasoned perfectly. Pancakes are bomb as well. Fluffy, but not too dry or dense. A little pricey but everything was delicious.“
“Atwater restaurant was superb. The only down side was the aspect of handicap accessible entrance and outside entrance handicap parking. The ramp wasn't very conducive for handicap wheelchairs, scooters or walkers. It is my request that the Herrington really examine accessibility to all would be ideal for future guests.“
“Very bright and welcoming. They have seats in the kitchen but also a bright and airy newly renovated table or booth seating. Great place to take kids but quit enough for brunch with friends. Staff if always accommodating a friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Slab style ground level. No curb. Several Handicapped parking placard parking. Shares huge parking lot with other business. Busy but not full. Close.“
“I was the day of coordinator for a recent wedding that rented out MadCats for their after party. I worked with Sauvio who had great communication and is super personable & a great host. He worked the event!! Great expert. Great food. And an incredible atmosphere for all the guests. Everyone had a great time!!“
“We LOVE this restaurant, and will always come back for a fun/delicious night out, but we always seem to have something missing or incorrect with our order. The servers are very nice/accommodating, but it would be preferable to have our orders come out correctly the first time.“
“I've been here about 3 times now, and every time has been a great experience. Fast, accurate, and polite service. They have a pretty extensive menu, so you're sure to find something that's going to please your appetite. And the food is simply good. Doesn't matter if you get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Everything I've had so far was darn good. I'm going to make sure Mr. A's stays on my normal lunch/brunch rotation.“
“Carried out tonight from the Walrus Room. It was our anniversary and we had some beautiful grass fed t-bones but needed a sweet treat and a little app that we just weren't in the mood to prepare (got 2 under 5). And I have to say it was still phenomenal as always. One of our absolute favorite staples. Dont hesitate, just go and try for yourself. It truly is the “supper club” of the tri-cities. Hard one to beat. Keep it up!“
“I have been coming here since they opened. I've seen this restaurant survive covid and thrive before and presently. Always delicious, but service and food runners could be better trained and more attentive. The manager who also tends bar is quite delightful. He was extremely attentive and gracious with the issue we had.“
“Small restaurant with a dark, moody vibe that offers great drinks, food, and service. Been here twice and both times were enjoyable and the food is definitely memorable.Wings- maple bourbon dry rub with the good ranch and homemade blue cheese dressing these are a mustBrussel sprout salad- fresh and the acv dressing me feel better about myself before we consumed all the delectable food we ordered.Brie burger with seasoned fries- pairs good with the multiple cocktails I am sure you will order here.Grits- I didn't even know I liked them until nowChicken Shawarma Sandwich- I knew there was a reason I kept seeing everyone order this. It's amazing. How do they make better shawarma than most shawarma places around here?!Birria grilled cheese- good but the wings and shawarma have my heart.Seriously you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try these things at least once if you come here. Personally, I would recommend the wings, brie burger, and chicken shawarma sandwich. Legit I still think about them and it's been a month since we have been there. Oh, and the fries as a side .. just get them your stomach will thank you later“
“Took The Wife here for a late lunch. It was busy-ish, but we got a table fairly quickly. I got a Cheeseburger that took a very long time to make, and The Wife got a soup and half a sandwich. Nice place for the most part, but the seats and tables were sticky and dirty. Prices were more than average. A bit on the high side. Not sure if we'll come back.“
“Practically no wait at all to be seated. Our server Dana was very friendly and attentive with our table and got us refills without anyone asking. Pizza and calamari were both delicious, would definitely recommend, especially during lent as they even have a menu for anyone that can't eat meat because of lent.“
“Can't say enough about this place. I have been coming to Uncle Bill's since 2007. Mostly it was lunch and my favorite rib-eye stake sandwich at the time. I came back to this place after 14 years of being out of the country. It is still the same family atmosphere, great food and a friendly service. Uncle Bill and Tim - very friendly and approachable, as always. When you come regularly you start to see familiar faces. They have long-time customers dining there. Great place for family breakfast, lunch and dinners. Tim, great seeing you after all these years!“
“The service was fantastic at this cute place. The atmosphere and menu were wonderful. The food was pricey and ok. I ordered an extra egg which didn't come and was charged 3 dollars. One child's food came and the other came 8 minutes later.... doesn't seemlike a lot but it's a lot when you are with hungry kids. I am not sure if this would be my first choice for brunchI will go back for a drink though“
“This place is great. The food is always good and I've not had a bad meal there once. Service has always been fast and friendly. My only complaint about the "Atmosphere" is that it can sometimes feel a little cramped.Parking: It's a shared parking lot and it can get a little full around lunch time.“
“Wow! Just got back from Alexander's Café and loved it! Atmosphere (piano playing) spacious, tables not too close together, great food, ample portions, selections and very tasty. Our waiter, Mike, was excellent, great personality, always there for whatever we needed, was wonderful! First time here but definitely not the last time, we will come again. We were impressed with the menu, portion size, staff and great atmosphere!!!!“
“I come here in the wee hours of the morning after work sometimes. I don’t expect much, but my server Dio is always prompt & he remembers me. That’s extremely comforting! As long as Dio works here, I will returnKid-friendliness: The restaurant is spacious, so if you kids are loud like mine, you can be tucked in a corner with themWheelchair accessibility: Nice long ramp at the entrance“
“Came here with friends. Ambiance was really lovely and warm set in a gorgeous old building. Good selection of drinks, service was professional and pleasant. The food was on the better side of average. Perhaps i ordered poorly. My Arctic Char was overcooked. Spatzle was drowning in sauce. My husbands slow-cooked ribs were good, the fennel in the lamb was slightly overpowering. The octopus starter was slightly overcooked. The shrimp bao was a winner. Desserts were delicious. The plating for everything was attractive. Would I return? Unlikely, given that we travelled for this.“
“What can I say! The food is ALWAYS on point but today it was Tyler. He was kind and he took great care of us and all of our food preference's. We just loved his sweet soul and was the icing on the cake. When you come to Brianna’s you MUST ask for Tyler.“
“Small, quaint, family restaurant. Very busy the day we stopped by, but the staff keep customers moving, we had a very short wait. Food was very good, staff was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable & kept customers moving. Highly recommend checking it out. Has that home town atmosphere!“
“UPDATE: We've been back 3 times since my first review and it keeps getting better. The hostess is cordial, friendly and sweet, what a nice change. Our latest visit we had Kyle as our server, super friendly, knowledgeable and spot on without being overwhelming. There were 6 in our party and he didn't miss a beat. Started out with Joan's Rolls, super soft, warm rolls with a chive butter, so good. 3 of us had the miso salmon, the other 3 had the apple & pear salad with a protein. Everything was delicious and done perfectly! We like how the chef changes the menu a little bit every so often.“
“The atmosphere was very clean, the food was very good and the service was pretty quick. We got our refills on coffee as well as we got checked them every few minutes to see if we needed anything if we had to make a complaint. There was a small little egg shall piece in the eggs but nobody's perfect. I would highly recommend this place to my friends.“
“I have passed this restaurant too many times to count. Had a few friends recommend for an anniversary dinner and glad I went. Really cool "old school" ambience. Great service, never felt rushed and answered all questions on the menu. So many things I wanted to try but went with the filet and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly as I had asked for medium rare. My wife had steak also and said the same. The food was so good that I'll be back. I would make reservations next time as the place was quite crowded at 8:00 on a Saturday. Great meal!“
“Nice quiet restaurant where I can finally have a conversation with my lovely wife . Decided to try this place on Valentine's day . Had a very good experience. We had the chopped house salad , surf and turf plate which turned out EXCELLENT! The casino clams were ok . So glad we tried the gelato and chocolate mouse cake ! They were very very Good ! Our waitress Olivia was great ! We will definitely be back !“
“Spicy Wings!!! Great place to entertain family and friend!!!! . If you want spicy wings with meat on them (not Bdubs) this is the place. Ordered the wings as spicy you can make them and my lips are still tingline if you know what I mean. Just asked Jake and they are called suicide jalapeño. Awesome atmosphere will definitely come here again for another sporting event!“
“Very warm atmosphere and a clean establishment. Food is exactly what you want and hits the spot. Staff pays attention and is great, hopefully you get Liz. Greek Skillet was delicious! Forgot to take the photo before. Sorry.Parking: There’s a parking lot“
“Went here for my mom‘s birthday. The staff were amazing!! Angel was actually an angel and my mom had the greatest time. She had so much fun laughing and made really good memories. The staff were just hilarious and awesome. The whole way through from start to end 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone for food and the service is 100 out of 10.!!!!!!!!Try the apple crisp with cinnamon and ice cream!!“
“Sarah was Our Server Bixby I'm back better beyond covering grace by other needs to suit me. Please and michael's extra new accent real and she was amazing. I asked her about all the different entries and she knew everything about them. The food was amazing.“
“Went on a Saturday night when it was extremely busy, but still have a fabulous experience! Kelsey B was our server, probably the best server we have ever had. The food was delicious and everything came out quick and hot. We will definitely only come to this location from now on!Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options“
“The food was great and affordable! Atmosphere was fun! We all had an amazing time! Huge shout out do the man in the hanger (I think he said his name was Jeff). He was so nice and excited to show us around the hanger! You could tell he really enjoys working there and is excited to share his knowledge of planes! He really took our experience from great to amazing! We were beyond impressed with everything!“
“We had a girls dinner at Coopers Hawk and all was fantastic - the food, atmosphere and service. Our waitress Paula was amazing and just so sweet attentive. I ordered some appetizers to munch on. The drunken shrimp (came with 5) were good and crisp. the ‘over the border egg rolls’ were the best I have ever had! Two of the three dipping sauces it came with were dynamite! In additional to their famous crispy brussels sprouts, I will also be ordering the on the border egg rolls too. The Cooper’s hawk ale was also a delightful“
“Co-worker mentioned to try out the Boss's Signature. We decided to try it out and we are so glad we did!! Two of us had the ribeye and two had the corn beef and cabbage. For dessert we tried out the cheesecake and key lime pie. All the food was absolutely delicious! Was very impressed that the owner Gino came to our table to see how everything was!! You don't find that much these days. Wonderful people, atmosphere, good service and great food.....what more can you ask for. Already discussed that this may be our new go to place. Looking forward to trying out their breakfast menu.“
“This place gets very crowded weekend mornings. There is no good place to sit or stand when waiting.Parking: When itnis crowded, you may have to park off a little bit, but there is enough parking generally speaking.Kid-friendliness: This is a fine place to bring kids, but be weary of long waits on weekends.“
“Went here for brunch with my family on a Sunday afternoon. Upon stepping inside, I knew this would be a nice place to spend the afternoon. The host greeted us promptly and gave us two options for seating; and asked if any of us had food allergies...this was a nice surprise since my kids have a food allergy and nobody ever asks us. The host made it a point that he would notify the waitstaff and kitchen staff. The service was fast and efficient, our food was awesome, and the entire staff was accommodating to our two kids. As my kids finished their meals, our waiter told them to check out the art upstairs...this gesture gave my wife and I a few minutes to finish our coffee and beer. The pricing is as you would expect for this type of exclusive restaurant.Brass tacks: excellent food and high-end atmosphere without the pretense. I'm going back.“
“First time last night for dinner with friends. What a great atmosphere, music could have been a tad lower. The service was very attentive. The food was really good. The crispy coconut tofu was a really good dish with many flavors mixing together to be amazing. Overall we will be back again!“
“An iconic American restaurant.A survivor of Covid, inflation and economic downturns. Like restaurants of 20 years ago, serving steaks, chops, salads, sandwiches, cocktails, etc. There's some Greek and Mexican favorites. This place is huge with an equally hugh parking lot. I went with friends for lunch and we all enjoyed our meals very much. I live 15 miles away, and it was definitely worth the trip.“
“Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner with my boyfriend! The food was cooked perfectly to mine and my boyfriend’s liking. Chef Santiago and his wife Estela have done an amazing job, my server was also amazing and helped make this dinner perfect. I will definitely keep coming back and recommend this restaurant.“
“I haven’t been here in 35 yrs! Stopped for lunch before doctor appointment. Nothings changed! It’s all still delicious and service is great! I sat at the bar where Viktor cooked me a beautiful cheeseburger! I’m so happy I stopped! Lots of fun memories there from back in the day!“
“Breakfast food and more ELEVATED! From bacon to drinks and juices, from organic eggs to gourmet bread and jam, chicken sausage - the details have been thought out when it comes to flavors. Somebody put some thought into how to make quality dishes! We will be back even if we have to drive a bit to get here.“
“Savory dishes were delicious, well-seasoned. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly crisp! But dessert dishes like the crepes and pancakes were horrible. Crepes tasted really wet (texture is like an overcooked noodle) and pancakes were flat and tasteless.“
“This was my first visit, and it was fantastic! The bar staff was super personable and attentive, and the karaoke was really fun! The owner even took time to chat with me for a few minutes. River Street will definitely be a regular destination for me!“
“Well us five retired butchers, went and tried another Sport Bar and grill, "Mickey's " on Barrington Rd in Streamwood IL. Great food and great service. We got there around 11am.Great prices and you get a lot for your money.Pizza was great, thin crust, plus they make their own. Wraps are very good. Hamburgers are good, too! And yes we're going back there next week. Tap beers and 24oz. Cans are thumbs up ?.Parking: Close to the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Got a double door front door, and everything is on ground level.“
