“This place is worth the stop! Whether you are visiting Pullman National Historical Park, in the area, or driving nearby, this is the place to stop for a coffee break. Great coffee, teas and other drinks, as well as bakery treats like muffins and donuts. But the atmosphere really seals the deal. The shop is in a restored Pullman executive home, right across from the NPS site, with cozy common seating areas, lots of books to peruse, and historic artifacts from the historic district. The shop raises money for the Pullman House Project, a non-profit in the same building that provides guided tours of period Pullman homes. Between the NPS location, the Pullman House Project tour and then a coffee after, it's a great afternoon plan!“
“I have been here many times, and I find the coffee, food, and service exceptional. Mostly young people working hard and always cheerful. The chairs are comfortable, and the atmosphere is laid back. Having read some comments about forced tipping, this has never happened to me. I have always gone inside, so I can't speak for the drive-thru. Inside you are given the option of tipping, either with your card or putting something in the tip cup. I had grown tired of Dunkin', and Starbucks is more expensive and less friendly, in my opinion. For now, the Highland Biggby is my go-to place for coffee.“
“First time trying. Definitely will recommend and this will be my go to pan dulce spot! Pan dulce is fresh and delicious! The bolillo is warm, fresh and delicious. I tried the cafe part. I Ordered cafe de olla. For me it was too sweet. My husband ordered the cafe abuelita , also way too sweet. However, I’m sure for others it would be great. just not us. Next time I’ll just stick to regular coffee. The service was good and courteous. I feel they need to expand and make the area a little larger it would make for a better flow. It’s a bit small and crammed. But it’s a small cute place. Oh I almost forgot. Their cheese and jalapeño bolillo is so good! Definitely recommend. “De Mar's in Blue Island, IL is a must-visit for anyone in the mood for classic American diner fare. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school feel that instantly transports you to a simpler time. Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend De Mar's to anyone looking for a traditional American diner experience. “Any brewery with a car is a good brewery in my book. Also as a person who is not that big of a beer fan, the brews they had on tap were so varied and excellent that there is something on tap for everyone. Their fruity beers were fantastic and I would be happy to have them again.“

“Went to the tea tasting with my mother and son. Had such a wonderful time from start to finish smelling and tasting all the different types of tea. Atmosphere was awesome. “I’m not from this area, I actually live in NW Indiana but sometimes come out this way for work. This is by far the best DD I’ve been too, besides the location in Munster, IN. No matter how busy they are, the line always moves fast, my drinks are always made well, my food is always done fresh (I get the avocado toast) and the toast is crispy but not burnt. Anywhere else the avocado toast is usually soggy or cold. But not at this location. The employees are always so friendly and nice. Never had an issue ever. All I know is that the DD locations in NW Indiana need to take some lessons from the management/staff at the Alsip location because they’re doing something right. Wish I could get this type of service at the other locations. Good job! ?“

My niece asked about a fake viral drink, “under the sea,” and Jen shared that it wasn’t real. Jen continued to engage with my niece, who then asked for a drink that was pink in color. Jen had an idea and asked my niece “do you trust me,” to which my niece replied, “yes.” My niece liked it, and probably would have loved it with one extra pump of vanilla.The music was great, and the leather and wood furniture was warming. “There coffee is always fresh and so are there muffins. The bathroom is super clean which I find to be important. The store is kept very clean at all times. The workers and staff are nice, sweet and they very fast and will get your coffee ready in 15 seconds even when they are at there busiest. I buy there frozen coffee drink. And all there flavors are fresh and they serve to please the customer. These workers are very hard workers, the manager is also nice. He knows what he is doing. I recommend you won't be disappointed at this location.Parking: There is plenty of parking. You won't be worried about finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: The staff is very friendly and are always smiling. That to me will attract adults as long as children in the store for this reason.
