“Had the pleasure of eating here on vacation last week. Had the Sunday special of all you can eat wings. Tried the Cajun rub first and then the house special blueberry moonshine BBQ. Amazing! Didn't like the street corn salad, but that's bc down here its warm and not sweet. Just a personal preference. Everything we tried was fresh and looked good. The best part of the experience was the server, believe his name was Blane. Best service I've had in forever anywhere I've gone! Thanks!“

“Friday night whole fried catfish was amazing and I have eaten my share of catfish over many years. It was crispy, tender and not greasy. The baked potato and green bean sides were also delicious. Very affordable as well at $15 and included cornbread and homemade corn fritters. Our server was friendly and prompt. Yummy ?!Wheelchair accessibility: I am using a knee scooter and was able to easily access the dining room through the back door.“

“Thank you to Los Cabos for getting me out of a bind last minute. I had another plan in place for ground beef taco meat for a staff party and it fell through the day before. I called Los Cabos and they were able to make 10lbs of ground beef taco for me to pick up the next day. It was a hit! I’m so glad my original plan didn’t work out and we were able to have some delicious tacos from Los Cabos. I highly recommend them for your catering needs. I mean, who doesn’t love a nacho/taco bar?!?! Thanks again!“

Best food you’ll ever have they give you 4 big pieces of cfried chicken and it’s stays fresh and hot all the way till your done and you get a whole bunch of fries as well only for 13 dollars. They also have lots of other things and it’s all homemade and cheap. Recommend 5 stars for sure.“

“I went out to Kickapoo, IL right off of Rt 74 with my son recently and had brunch with him. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive there for me but well worth the time. Normally I get the same thing to eat when I go out ( their famous meatloaf, masked potatoes n gravy, green beans and a hot roll) but this time I decided to change it up a bit and boy was I glad I did. This time I got a hot ham and cheese sandwich served with potato chips and an order of their famous onion rings. The minute they sat my plate in front of me, I knew I made the right choice. I expected to get that real thin shaved ham like one gets from the grocery store in the lunch meat aisle but this sandwich had nice thick slices taken from a whole ham you bake in the oven. It was cooked to perfection, and it was perfectly moist. One bite into that sandwich and I was in heaven. I should have included a picture of all the food we had, but before I even thought of it, the food was gone. It was that amazing. The onions rings were cooked perfectly with a beautiful golden brown mouth watering color and not dripping of oil like I’ve had in so many other restaurants. The waitress asked if we would like dessert but sadly enough, I was too full. Once we left, I was kicking myself for not purchasing one of their fresh baked pies to take home with me. Yeah folks, they bake their pies every single morning and you can take one or more of them home with you. Or…..if you are hosting a holiday meal at your house or a birthday , anniversary party or whatever the occasion, you can put in an order for pies and they will bake them for you so all you have to do is go pick them up. You have a choice of Apple, Cherry, Red Raspberry, Peach, Blackberry, Dutch apple, Apricot, Coconut Cream, Toffee, Butterscotch, Lemon, Peanut Butter Reese, Lemon, Raisin, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Cookie, Banana Cream, Red Raspberry, Pecan, Strawberry, Blueberry Crumble and Key Lime. I highly recommend you make the trip to the Jubilee Café for either breakfast, lunch or dinner, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. They are open seven days a week from 6 AM to 8 PM and are closed on Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day so the staff can be with their families. Please do yourself a favor and go out to Kickapoo to the Jubilee Café and check it out. Oh and for all you truck drivers out there, they have parking out there for your big rigs behind the cafe on the west side of the building. Side note: They serve breakfast all day! Bon appétit everyone!“

“We were staying at Staybridge Suites to attend a concert and didn't want to tackle trying to find a restaurant. After reading reviews we decided to call Firehouse which we learned about from a menu we found at the check in desk. WOW!! What a pleasant surprise!! First, the service was incredible, delivery right to our room!! She was delightful and deserved the extra tip!! Second, I don't know what you put in that pizza sauce but I wish it was bottled so I could take it back to New Palestine, Indiana with us!! FABULOUS!! And the salad was fresh and plentiful!! If we get back to Peoria we will be frequenting your establishment again!! Thank you!! ❤️“

This review is mostly about their delivery partner.I just moved to Peoria, and yesterday, after 8 hours of lugging heavy boxes and furniture up 2 flights of stairs into our apartment, we decided to treat ourselves with a local pizza place.So I called for delivery because we're sweaty and exhausted, and the employee tells me they only deliver through Doordash.Crap. I hate Doordash. Nine times out of ten, there's an issue with the delivery. I picked a pizza place, because they usually hire their own drivers.But we're too tired to find somewhere else to order, so I bite the bullet.My Doordash order gets here, and of course, there's a whole pizza missing from the order. Typical Doordash. I called the restaurant and he confirmed that the pizza was still sitting there. He offered to call Doordash for a re-delivery, and I said sure, thank you.Well, 7 phone calls back and forth with Doordash customer service, they told me 1) They'd re-deliver, 2) Oops, they couldn't reach the driver 3) Do you want a refund? 4) Oops, we can't process a refund 5) I'll ask my supervisor for a re-delivery again 6) This time I had to call, and they told me they had to "escalate the issue" 7) It is now the next day, and they tell me they have to "escalate it" again to a different team.So now it's the next day and I'm still without my refund and without my pizza.2 stars for the food, because what we did receive was very tasty, but after the day we had and the added stress from Doordash, I don't know if we'll ever order here again. “We have ordered some vegetarian food (Veggi Noodles and Fried Rice) and non-vegetarian food (Chicken seekh kabab, Chicken tikka tandoori). The items were outstanding, there was no food left within an hour or so. We have even ordered appetizers (chilli paneer and cutlet). We are planning to try Goat fry briyani next time we visit. Overall we did like the food and will be visiting more often.“

So I stopped by the local Trefzger’s bakery, and I could smell the meat cooking from there, I went in for a sandwich, but decided to buy a pound of their pulled pork. So, I get pulled pork everywhere we go on vacation and otherwise, and I’m very picky! Let me tell you when I got this food home. This pulled pork is absolutely scrumptious! and the price was definitely reasonable! The guy that waited on me was super nice and does his job very well! The lasagna was one of my GF favorites.They also have fountain diet mountain dew. “I was very overall pleased with this place! I had not eaten from here since I was a small child! My Mongolian beef was very good and tender! My husband had general tso chicken it wasn't spicy but still he loved it. It came with sticky rice. We also had creamy good potstickers! The portions of our entrees were huge! It was so pleasing! The sugar sprinkle donuts were so tasty and fresh! We shared some plum wine which was tasty but alittle syrupy. Our waitress was so nice and quick to get stuff for us. “I go here a LOT and bring all my friends here! Mings is the BEST value in the region for a Chinese Buffet. Their Sushi is all you can eat and at minimum grocery store quality and better than any other sushi at buffets I've had. Why would anyone eat grocery store sushi when you could get all you can eat PLUS a full Chinese buffet and grill for half the cost to fill yourself up? Their Crab Rangoons are handmade with thin wonton wrappers unlike the bready ones you get most Chinese restaurants and the same is true for their wontons - their fried and steamed wontons are some of the best I've had. The selection of the buffet has something for everyone and the quality is as high if not higher than take out. My only, and I do mean only negative point is their General Tso's is the only subpar item :-( (not crispy / big pieces / too soggy) but the Sesame and Honey Chicken and all other items are always on point, crispy and saucy and most importantly - not excessive breading like most other buffets - the meat / breading ratio is perfect. Even their honey shrimp is thin and crispy breading, flavorful and not hidden in a ball of dough like other buffets. Overall, I will drive out of my way to go to Ming's, and highly recommend as the best buffet in the area!“
