“I had a bowling party at Eden Lanes for about 40 friends and family, a mix of kids and adults, and everything worked out perfectly. The super friendly and competent manager that evening (I think his name was Joe) took my reservation on the phone a couple weeks in advance, was clear on the prices and number of lanes we’d probably need, and gave me info about treating our guests to beverages and to delicious food from Duncan and Dada’s. He was very accommodating and took care of everything the day of the party from bumpers for the kids to a table for the food to setting up a tab for our guests shoes, games, and beverages from the bar so we could just have a good time and pay for everything at the end. It was a great night and everyone is still raving about how much fun they had!“

“This is a wonderful spot that should be much busier than it is. The vibe is dark and cool, all the plants are refreshing, and in general it's just a very nice place to be. The cocktails are inventive, well balanced, and delicious. The food is always brought out fast and is wonderful. It's priced reasonably for what you get. “Was there for a birthday. We were seated inside not on the patio. When the monsoon type storm hit the staff did an amazing job accommodating those that were on the patio. The city-living branch of our family thinks it's well worth the trip out here to LGP. A wonderful restaurant.“

“They only serve lunch only during the weekdays (no dinner and no weekends). However it is the best lunch around! It's like your mom went in the kitchen and made it for you. Soups are made from scratch and they are delicious. The BLT on rye is outstanding. And if they have it, you have to try the potato salad. This is a bar with a Northwoods atmosphere that has affordable prices but there are some tables to sit at. They also have a Friday fish special.“

This place has seating and a few television sets and is overall kind of small but seems to be very popular in the Clarendon Hills area the selection of the unique and crab brewery beer choices in both draft and cans was amazing and this is indeed a hidden treasure in the western suburbs“

“Stopped by for a solo meal here after work. The chicken tikka masala (very smoky), dal makhni and drinks were very good. The aloo gobi was a bit bland. Service was quick and attentive.As a note “sides” are larger than the main courses, which isn’t really made clear.“

“We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. We will be back for sure when we are in the area again. If your in the area, I recommend giving this place a try!“

“Local bar that we walked to to get a few drinks on st Patrick's day. The specials were nice but we ended up getting some Guinness and car bombs. I got to try malort for the first time (not really a fan) prices were fine. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Wasn't too crowded. Had video poker inside which is something I'm not used to due to not being from the Midwest. I'd swing by and get some drinks here again“

“Very nice establishment - quite large. Beautiful outdoor space. Plentiful beers on tap. We had the eggplant salad and it was huge and beautifully presented as 3 towers. “Beers were great as expected. We were not impressed with the nachos. The meat was tasteless and hard to separate so lots of meat in a bite or no meat. The cheese sauce had a nice wang to it and chips were ok. Will try something different next time.“

“Smitty's ale house is at the location of the old stores, the spirits bar not the strip club. They really did not change much from the outside. The new owners updated the bathrooms, looks like they expanded the kitchen and removed the dj booth. All probably good moves, based off of the history. The aaa staff was nice and engaging. The crowd for a bears Sunday was a lot lighter than the places previously iteration . That may be due to the bears sucking this year though. There was also less staff but enough for the limited crowd. For an ale works they had pretty standard beers on tap. Looked like only one rotating tap out of the 10 on the taps. Not a very deep option for beer needs. I do think any bar named Smitty's should have guineas on tap . I had the steak quesadillas. They were solid bar food. Overall thisplace is worth the stop but needs a bit more to stand out.“
