“Tried the breaded pork tenderloin as I continue my tenderloin trail. The tenderloin was very well executed. Very tender and the breading was not overpowering. The onion rings were amazing. My lunch partner had the tuna melt and rated it a 7 out of 10, saying if the bread was different the rating would have been higher. It was definitely loaded with tuna. The banana cream pie was large, but honestly did not live up to the hype. It was OK, but the bananas were almost an afterthought not having been throughout the pie and clearly without time to have the flavors meld together like a good banana cream pudding. Gray Brothers cafeteria's banana pie is not as large but is better.“
“Clean bathroom. I was greeted right away. My waitress was pretty awesome. My fries were cold but my cauliflower was hot. My salad came out after the hot food so I took it to go. I had to ask for a piece of coffee cake instead of it automatically coming out with my food. My cup had a nice lip ring on it which I realized after I was halfway done with my water.“
“I've always liked this location. Today we came to celebrate my best friend's birthday brunch. Zach, our server was amazing. He made sure our drinks were refilled and made sure we knew what was going on with the menu. Plus we just loved his personality. We had our choice of brunch or the full menu. We started out with the whipped feta which was plentiful and delicious with the warm pita, we had to order a few more since we ran out but they came out pretty quick. We all ordered off the brunch menu - the breakfast sandwich, the eggs and hash, and the big nasty. We all left satisfied and full!!!“
“This is an amazing place. The atmosphere is great and the seem to have a lot of events to include but not limited to karaoke and poker tournaments. The food is good and they have the best wings. Try the Ricky Bobby suicide wings, they are the best.“
“This place is already making its way to the top places in Carmel to grab a beer, cocktail or glass of wine and sit and watch the people!! From the people on the Monon to all of the passersby, this is the place to be and be seen for sure. They are still hammering out some details on the menu, but who cares about that with all of this EYE CANDY!! We can always eat later!!“
“Such a fun place to go! We went the weekend of St. Patty’s day and expected it to be super busy. The food was alright, although we also went in expecting that the food would be flying out and not absolutely “perfect”. Our server (Peter) was absolutely WONDERFUL and so attentive to our table!! We would come back again just to have him as our server!“
“UPDATE: This is one of our favorite spots. I left my original review (below) a few years ago. They've made several changes to their menu and management of the kitchen since then. We love their food, and the staff and management are terrific. My wife and I really tried to love this place. Great location and atmosphere, and we love their beers. But food had been consistently mediocre and overpriced. Twice within 2 weeks, we were charged significantly more for our meal than was on the menu. 1st time, my son ordered chicken parm listed on the menu for $19 which is a lot for a plate of pasta and a piece of chicken. But was $23 on the bill. They said they changed the way they charge for it but hadn't changed the menu - now was $19 for the pasta plus $4 for your choice of protein. Not much chicken on it either. Next time, big sign on the wall and flyer in restrooms said Monday special was $8 any of their burgers. Got the bill and were about $12 each. We asked and they said beef was too expensive to offer the special. Both cases we were very polite bringing it to their attention, but they were very unapologetic, just basically said "yeah the menu is wrong its actually this price." We may go in for a beer every now and then, but we're done with their food.“
“As unbelievable as this may sound, not a single state has an official sandwich. And after eating the unofficial state sandwich of Indiana I think I know why. First things first though, according my extensive internet research, the official unofficial state sandwich of Indiana is the Pork Tenderloin. And if you are only going to eat one, which was the plan, then it should be eaten at the Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant. It comes on a bun (mine was oddly from Toronto) that covers a maximum of 33% of the loin, with lettuce, tomato, and three dill pickle coins and a loin eater's choice of ketchup, mayo and/or mustard (I chose mayo). For some it might be advisable to share. Washed down by a draft Ayinger Lager: Excellent!!! So good in fact I'm thinking I'll share another with Mrs. AAR if the opportunity arises. Oh, yeah, the reason why this great country lacks even one official state sandwich¹ may be the same reason this country can't provide adequate health care . . . politics. In Indiana's case House Bill 1143 has languished since 2023 possibly due to pushback from the Polish sausage and fried brain sandwich lobby. ¹ According to Wikipedia the "Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese," is the only official state sandwich. It was made "official" by the New Jersey governor on May 25, 2023, though this might just be due to the Taylor Swift's impending visiting to MetLife Stadium. Either way it has not been been approved by the state legislature.“
“Finally got a chance to go to this restaurant with some friends. It is a hole in the wall place. Seems like a lot of local people have gone for years. I enjoyed being there and the food was good. I did notice that the noise level was up making it hard to talk in a normal manner.Sometimes this is just the way it goes. Definitely worth a visit. I will give them a second chance.“
“Stopped in for lunch and tried the Friendlys Fried Chicken. Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot when served. Its no frills, reasonably priced, good ole bar food.Parking: There is a lot next to the bar.Kid-friendliness: No kids allowed...over 21 only“
“Connor's is a cultural experience and a rite of passage for Broad Ripple Village patrons! Really cold beer, not to mention PBR on tap, and quick, refreshing drinks, the back alley location and back open air deck have seen many of luminaries come and go! (Rumor is that a young Rookie Colts Punter from West Virginia might have been over-served here before his famous Canal dive! But I wasn't there, at least That time!). Typical bar food is surprisingly good and served late, so it serves well to offset excess alcohol consumed early in the evening. Many a brain cell has been willing pruned at Connor's. Probably as authentic a BRV legacy as the Alley Cat! Definitely incredible people watching as typical nights wear out to early morning! Special call out for holiday break home trips and college visits back home!“
“Lunch today at the Pawn Shop bar/restaurant in Indy, which hasn't raised its prices in one long time, despite inflation. Best place in Indy to eat for a meal that costs considerably less than $10. With only $3.50 apiece beers! Can't beat that, not at all. I had fish & chips, 2 beers, & even w/ Indianapolis's 9% restaurant sales tax & tip, I only spent $20 total, & I was full!! When you're in Indy, go there.“
“Tonight while waiting to play trivia a guy came in and was handing out a card saying he was deaf and needed money. My friend Chelsea Haboush who is a server there immediately kicked him out than told me that he is not deaf and has spoken to her before. He has also run this scam before. While I am very frustrated that someone would fake a disability I am thankful for Chelsea's quick reaction and kindness“
“Good good music fun place to go I love going there on Friday nights can get my dance on watch people dance very nice drinks they got $3 Ciroc on Friday nights the last Friday I went the food wasn't as good as it usually is when I go I don't know if it was a different cook or what the case was but my stomach was pretty torn up the next day if you know what I mean but despite that nice crowd of people nice music the lady DJ there is life like she know what to play I will have her to do any of my parties and events cuz she know how to jam“
“Sunday night is our favorite day to enjoy a quiet dinner at The Meridian. Although we live in the neighborhood, we save this special place for special occasions. It never disappoints. My favorites are the smoked corn purée soup, and the roasted duck. When I want a treat, I order the fried oysters, which are tender and juicy. My wife favors the steak, a prime selection from nearby Kincaid's Meat Market. Bread pudding is a great dessert if you save room for it.“
“Great Job Guys, I came in on Monday , I wasn’t having the best day, and I came in to get a sub! The atmosphere was great and I left feeling refreshed! They are a little short staff so I had to show a little patience but they were great! I think the managers name was Derrick? Thanks guys for a truly great experience!!!!“
“Great neighborhood spot! They have daily specials each day of the week that are great priced! Our waiter was amazing and even introduced us to a new drink that I am now obsessed with!! We ordered potato skins and sliders. They also have pool in the back room for a few bucks. I'll definitely be back!“
“Awesome neighborhood bar atmosphere. Great staff! Everyone was very friendly! I had a coney with tater tots. Coney sauce was on point and tater tots were nice and crispy! No one likes soggy tots! Overall nice place, reasonable pricing, clean (including bathrooms!), good bar food, and fun place to hang out and watch football!“
“Whewwwww the smoke is bad in here. We walked in on a Friday night and it looked like we were walking into somewhere with a fog machine lol If you can get past the smoke, it's a pretty awesome place. It was our first time in and we were just looking for a night cap. Rob was an icon and kept us laughing. He was so jolly and you could tell he loved his job. The drinks were cold and it seemed as if there were a ton of regulars. They have a couple of pool tables and pull tabs. Wish we lived closer so we could come back more, but will stop by when we are in the area again. Hopefully though next time, everyone and their grandma won't be smoking.“
“Wasn't expecting much for a sport bar but the service was some of the best we have ever experienced. They had one guy working (possibly a manager) but he was taking care of roughly 40 people by himself no problem and checked on our table at least 10 times. The food was also great and far exceeded your typical bar food. Will be back again!“
“What an incredible devour deal!! 1 appetizer, 2 salads, two entrees and a dessert! On top of that there were so many good options to choose from it was hard to narrow it down! We started with the unsinkables which were amazing. Not too greasy as I thought they may be but the perfect amount of crunchy, cheesy and meaty! I see they aren't on the regular menu but it's basically a ham, turkey and cheese mini sandwich deep fried with a side of mustard dipping sauce. We then opted for the rock stone salad with the homemade yogurt dressing. Also major yum. We decided to go with two different pizzas: the classic trio and the buffalo. I was between the buffalo and the vodkaza but the waiter informed us that the buffalo is ordered more often. I'll definitely have to try it out next time! To top things off with a sweet note we chose the cinnamon breadsticks and wow those did not disappoint. After such an amazing food experience I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu. I have also heard they make a mean sangria!“
“My wife and I have always really liked NR’s deep dish pizza’s. We did not need him, but sat near the door and observed the young fellow working as the Pizza Valet, doing a very good job of helping customers. The fettuccini alfredo was not so good, but our pizza was great.“
“Really enjoyed my meal at Union Jack! This is a local spot that's casual and cozy with good quality pub fare. There's a large beer, wine and cocktail selection with a good amount of non-alcoholic options as well (I opted for local kombucha). Our table shared an artichoke queso appetizer which was quickly eaten up in just a few minutes. I'd heard this place was a hidden gem for vegetarian options which can be hard to come by for classic bar food, and the menu did not disappoint! Instead of picking between a few typical options there were so many items that looked great to me. I ended up trying the Impossible Philly and it was delicious. Can't wait to add Union Jack to my regular Broad Rip restaurant rotation!“
“Loved this neighborhood pool hall and bar. The food is excellent and the prices are very good. We love bar food generally and the selection was really good here. It wasn't real busy when we were so the service was exceptional. It's located in a strip center on the north side of 96th street about a mile east of I-69. This one's worth a try.“
“We arrived Sat afternoon, parked in the back, and were able to seat ourselves. We were given menus and flatware promptly. They had a few high chairs and by the time we left, all were in use! All sorts of families were there! We got the 6 nation breakfast and English breakfast. Both were delicious! Our drinks never ran out. Everyone from the wait staff to the other customers were very patient with our excitable daughter. (She gives her compliments to the bean chef.) She loved the food too. This was our first time there and we will definitely be back. It's nice that there are different seating areas depending on your vibe.“
“Fort Ben Pub was a great time! We didn't know there was going to be karaoke, but a couple people from our group were brave enough to sing. The service was good, but I didn't eat, so I can't speak to the food. Was a pretty good time“
“I'd rather go to the one in downtown Indianapolis for more consistency. Our salad was frozen and the breading on the chicken wings were stale. Great place to catch a game but call before to make sure they're screening it since they may not have the subscription for whatever platform your game is on.“
“Good food, and prob the best wings in the city. BUT…every time I go there, there is a group of employees out front ripping cigs 4 feet from the entrance. I’ve literally never seen this anywhere else, but at this location there is ALWAYS a staff person out front ripping heaters…it almost defies logic. Best wings in the city though if you can make it through the plume.“
“If you find yourself in Carmel, Indiana, make sure to stop by Noble Romans Pizza and Pub - you won't be disappointed! This location is a true standout with its charming decor and friendly staff. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the delicious aroma of their freshly baked pizzas.Whether you're working remotely or catching up with friends, Noble Romans in Carmel provides the perfect setting. The menu offers a fantastic variety of pizzas and pub fare that cater to every taste. The service is exceptional, and the overall vibe is inviting and lively.I can't recommend Noble Romans Pizza and Pub in Carmel enough.
