“My husband Steve and I ate there today, to celebrate our 33yr Anniversary of the day we met...We had the Monday Daily Meal Special, Lobster and Shrimp Scampi. It Was DELICIOUS!!! Our Waitress was very nice and helpful in getting our gift cards...and we even met a very nice staff member, Stacy, on our way out!!! Was A Wonderful Day!!! Best Life Ever!!!“

“Came to LJS for dinner and it was quite the experience. We ate in the restaurant and the staff was totally unexpected. I ordered a shrimp rice bowl with no rice and the chef offered to prepare it with lemon and then they accommodated my lack of rice appropriately and unexpectedly. The people who took the order were very friendly and attentive and three different people checked on our experience while we were eating. Food excellent. Staff excellent. Recommended. Everyone who has finished eating and left (about 5 people) have rung the bell, and I will too.“

“I recently visited Moby Dick, and I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience was. The place has a casual, no-frills atmosphere that lets the food take center stage. I ordered the kabob platter with rice and a side of their cucumber yogurt, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the rice was fluffy with just the right amount of saffron flavor. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the meal felt hearty but clean.

Service was efficient and friendly, and the staff seemed genuinely invested in making sure everyone had what they needed. The only reason I’m holding back from a full five stars is that the dining area felt a little cramped during peak hours, and it could get a bit noisy. Still, the food more than made up for it. “In these changing times, everything seems like a rip off. Old favorites are disappointing, prices are through the roof, portions shrink. Bless Moby Dick for not following these awful trends. They are same wholesome restaurants I grew up with.

The portions are good, the prices are reasonable and the service is great. Polite, helpful and friendly staff. Quick service.

Best of all, the food is consistently delicious. Same as it ever was. I had the Moby Dick sandwich, fried okra and a large Pibb. Tasted as good as ever. Just perfect.

No matter the location, they’re all good. I ate this time at the Jeff location by happy accident and it was just as great as all the other locations.

“We recently celebrated both a birthday and a pregnancy announcement at Morton’s and overall had a good experience.

William and Taylor were our servers, and while they were friendly, the pacing of the meal could have been better. Our entire table ordered the $99 dinner menu, but there seemed to be a lot of time between courses, and it often felt like we were waiting for the next part of the meal to arrive.

Unfortunately, something also triggered the fire alarm during our visit, and it continued for about 8 minutes until the fire department arrived. Obviously that’s outside the restaurant’s control, but it did interrupt the atmosphere of the evening.

A special thank you to Jamie, who stepped in later in the evening to help William and Taylor package our leftovers. We had asked for our desserts to be boxed to go, and he also helped us take home the cake we had brought in for the celebration. Jamie was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating.

Our 7:30 PM reservation ended with us leaving around 10:00 PM. By that point it felt like the restaurant was preparing to close, and we didn’t want to keep the staff any longer, so we settled the bill and headed out.

Despite a few service and timing issues, the staff was courteous and the evening was still special. Jamie’s hospitality especially stood out and we appreciate the effort he made to ensure we left with a positive impression.“

We recently celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary there and will drive the hour it takes to get there because the reputation of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is that good!!! “I had never been to a J. Alexander’s before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made a big difference. I was meeting up with my best friend from high school—someone I hadn’t seen in over 30 years—along with his wife, and the three of us ended up enjoying dinner and wine from 7:30 until closing at 10.
At no point did we feel rushed; instead, the staff seemed to give us the space to truly reconnect, which made the evening even more special. It was a heartwarming experience to meet Amy and to see Steve again, and J. Alexander’s turned out to be the perfect setting for it.
And yes—I suck for letting 30+ years go by without seeing Steve. That’s not going to happen again.“
