“First time coming here. I ordered the salmon hibachi (miso soup, ginger salad, roasted vegetables, and fried rice) and it was so delicious! The salmon was PERFECT and there was so much food. The prices aren't bad considering inflation! Our server was really great and the music playlist was nice. My husbands favorite part was that they bring you bottles of the ginger dressing and yum yum sauce so you can use as much as you'd like. We will definitely be back“
“My wife and I go out of our way whenever we are out of town to track down some good fish house. Have been to many places,Mike Linnigs, Kingfish etc...Florida, many coastal cities, By far , Docks is the best we've had and we have been to many places that serve fish. If you're hungry, don't need a fine dining, you just like fish,Docks“
“Beautiful restaurant! I love the bar, it has a classic retro vibe. But, come for the food! I have had multiple items on menu, & I have never been disappointed. I love shrimp cocktail & theirs is top-notch. The latest thing I have ordered is the Amish chicken. The skin was crispy and the chicken was tender. So good!“
“Three of us had dinner on Tuesday night. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Our server was Yasmine. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. We had a lovely leisurely dinner. I would definitely return.“
“The restaurant from the outside is simple, but when you enter and order fish, it is really wonderful. I am from the Arabian Gulf. My country is Bahrain in the middle of the sea. We have a lot of fish. I know good fish and a good cook and taste. But here the restaurant is really wonderful. I have not tried any fish restaurant in Louisville because the fish that is not good makes me Sick and this is my second visit in a week. I will be a customer and it is close to our home. I liked this restaurant and all the staff are friendly“
“We had the best service with Kate! She gave us tips on what to order and ahead of time was dead on. We started with a cocktail and had a glass of wine with dinner. We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“
“Loved the atmosphere here, my family decided to come here and treat us as a wedding gift. They were under the impression they had a wider variety if seafood which seem to be majority cold seafood depending on the hour. Drinks were great, and a little pricy but paying for the ambience as well.“
“Grace our sweet server was so helpful! I'm gluten free and inquired about a dish called chicken gorgonzola and though not on the menu they still were able to make it for me with rice noodles! It was delicious AS ALWAYS! We hadn't been back in years and wow was it good! Glad I asked if they still enee served it!The espresso martini was to die for! Yum ?“
“A hidden gem. It's a splurge meal for sure, but it's nice to have that kind of quality Italian in a smaller market. Reservations suggested. Sorry no pics, as it's kind of dark in there (and I flat forgot lol), but the atmosphere is intimate. The only knock I would give it is the simple fact that it is a tight fit, so it's tough to feel secluded for an initiate evening, but CERTAINLY not impossible. Enjoy the food and the service- it is excellent and you should go!“
“First time eating at Sam's and everything was great. Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich was the thicker style and came with country gravy and one side. Tenderloin was well seasoned and very tasty. I got the green beans that I mixed with the gravy. Tasted like green bean casserole which I love. My wife ordered French onion soup (delicious) and the Cobb salad. Huge with fresh ingredients. Topped it off with hard hot chocolate and Irish coffee. We'll definitely be coming back!“
“This is my favorite place in the town to go to get fish. As a child I couldn't wait to go to suburban For fish. It was in third street in a wooden shack with gravel walk way. I'm 60yrs old and I have treated my kids and grandkids to it. I have also turned a lot of my friends on to it. Keep up the good work suburban, you got me and mine hooked. The onions are a special treat too.“
“The food was Delicious!! We were hungry we did not take any photos but, that is OK because my family and I agreed we will eat there again. Prices are reasonable. The staff members were friendly, the service was good and the food was, OH MY, fantastic. The menu has a variety of dishes. If you are looking for something authentic, this is the place for it.I got Quesabirrias, my daughter got the Enchilada Seafood, my son got the Burrito Loco and my husband got the Qusadilla Chicken Fajita. We glanced at other people plates, everything looked and smelled D E L I C I O U S ???“
“Stopped in here after a flight back from Chicago. The food was great. Staff was on top of keeping our drinks full. Menu had plenty to choose from and had pictures. The pictures are always a plus when choosing cultural dining. Overall we had a great time the prices were fair for the great food and service we received.“
“The food was hot and came out in short wait time . My waitress Misty was very attentive to my needs and super sweet plus very knowable of the menu plus her personality was amazing. Such a great place . Came in on 3 21 24 and had the best waitress Misty .grilled cheese and fries with cheese sticks was amazing.Parking: Lewis and Clark Clarksville Indiana“
“Wow! This modern establishment is perfect if you’re indecisive they have 6 options to choose from (sushi, burgers, wings, donuts) all private entities. Yung was our bartender while we had delicious sushi and he was amazing and attentive! Make sure to try some of the bourbons while in Louisville!“
“Very friendly staff. Evelyn was very friendly and informative. Food was delicious. I had the fried goat and highly recommend. My friend had the fried red snapper and it was about the best fish I ever tasted. Definitely recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Wow. Now THIS is some good food. There are plenty of places that do "street tacos", but La Catrina gets it right. Very delicious. And the wait staff was super friendly as well. If you're walking the big four bridge, stop by and give them a shot.“
“I wish we had taken a picture of our amazing food. The Eggplant Parmesan was absoluteiy stellar!! Should be featured in a magazine. The flavors burst in your mouth. The homemade marinara had the absolute best blend of herbs and spices. Each one not overpowering the other while still complimenting the roasted eggplant. My husband had the bistro burger. The fried egg on top was perfectly done. Not under or overfried. The handcut fries with parmesan were so crispy. He stated each bite down to the last was juicy and just as delicious as the one before. It was so good we debated whether to buy one to take home for dinner later. We had never had ratatouille, but we wanted to try it. The vegetables with the marinara. Yum!! Succulent. The vegetables were cut beautifully, not thin like some recipes tend to show where you kind of wonder what you just ate. Not here!! Each bite was savored. Made me think of my grandparents and their garden. Thank you for bringing me back to a memory I have missed. We will be back and soon!!“
“tried the place for the first time yesterday. While I will return, I still think Rita's Taco and Rancho Allegre in Corydon is my favorite. prices a little cheaper at Rita's but the quality is the same. Very kind gentleman was my server, he was very attentive. I am not too fond of places that have decorations for the day of the dead, we should be celebrating life, plus young children could be sensitive and spooked. with that said, my tacos were delicious, salsa was pretty good, and the Chile relleno was tasty, but wow it was super hot and I'm writing this as it exits, ouch. El Nopalitios in Corydon has the best Chile rellenos, best cheese inside, and I've been all over the US trying then from different places.“
“I went to this place for the first time a few months back. It was a great first time experience! I got the fried catfish seasoned with lemon pepper. It was a good amount and I got full. The food was fresh and hot just like I like it! The staff member named DeeDee was very friendly and informative. She knew their selection well. I have went back a few times since then with a friend. Love the food here! ?“
“After reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot and was gladly surprised not only by the ambiance but by the signature steaks and side dishes I was able to try. All of this supported by a professional and service oriented waitress made the evening. The Medallions Trio, part of tonight's specials was amazing!“
“Title: A Culinary Fiesta at El Rayo: A Mexican Delight!Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Rayo, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the vibrant streets of Mexico, with its warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's authentic decor, lively music, and friendly staff set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.Let's talk about the star of the show - the food! The menu at El Rayo is a true celebration of Mexican cuisine, offering a wide range of traditional dishes bursting with flavors and colors. Each bite was a symphony of taste, showcasing the chef's dedication to using fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. To start, I highly recommend the guacamole, prepared tableside with perfectly ripe avocados, tangy lime juice, and a hint of spice. It was the ideal balance of creamy and zesty, paired with crispy tortilla chips that were impossible to resist. The salsa trio was equally impressive, with each salsa boasting its own unique blend of flavors, from smoky to fiery.Moving on to the main course, the selection was extensive and catered to all tastes. I opted for the sizzling fajitas, and they did not disappoint. The tender strips of marinated meat, accompanied by sautéed peppers and onions, arrived at the table with a tantalizing aroma. The portion size was generous, and the meat was perfectly seasoned, making every bite a burst of savory goodness. The homemade tortillas were a revelation, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the dish. For dessert, I indulged in the churros, and they were simply divine. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside, these cinnamon-dusted delights were served with a rich chocolate dipping sauce that was pure decadence. It was the perfect ending to an already exceptional meal. The service at El Rayo was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their cuisine. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of.In conclusion, El Rayo is a Mexican restaurant that truly stands out from the crowd. With its authentic ambiance, mouthwatering dishes, and exceptional service, it is a culinary gem that should not be missed. Whether you're a Mexican food aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant will exceed your expectations. I cannot wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu. ¡Viva México! Oh and I even found a pearl!!“
“The food and service are excellent and we highly recommend. The calamari are literally the size of onion rings. Our waiter was super polite and very easy to talk to. The seafood bread, scallops, catfish, and calamari was our favorites for the day.“
“Got a New England clam chowder and 1/3 lb of crab legs. The New England clam chowder was alright... It was too salty to say the least and not my most favorite. But the crab legs on the other hand with the garlic butter and all the other helpings were delicious and full of succulent flavor. They also put in a generous helping of shrimp too which was phenomenal in my case. Great first time trying this place out and will not certainly be my last.“
“I had the most amazing snow crab boil for 31.99 and since I had never been there I thought there was no way that it could fill me up so I ordered a perch dinner also. I was so full from the crab I barely touched my perch dinner. What I did eat of the perch dinner it was just as fabulous as the crab meal. Solid fan!!!!! Great service and conversation. Will go back when I am town for sure!!! Pre birthday dinner was amazing!!“
“This is a great little restaurant ! They have a hot braised chicken dish, that you can't find anywhere. I ate this same dish at a place for decades, that is no longer open. To say I had high hopes for it, is a an understatement. I was not disappointed. The Lo mein was also spectacular. The service was quick and polite. My wife and I drive 20 minutes to try this place and I'll definitely be back !Highly recommend“
“The young man at the counter this afternoon was very mannerly!! Their food was superb! Very clean inside. Great lunch specials! Food made to orderI specifically asked for half lemonade and half water. The young gentleman at the counter remembered my request and had it made perfectly! The young lady at the counter was very nice as well.“
“This is a place that you can actually order food until it says that they are closed versus the ones who close at 10 but you have to be there by 9 in order to get your food and there are plenty of those I will not mention right here but I will if I was asked in Georgetown you don't have any options for any great food or service on one of those days where you really need some dinner late-night This Is The Place To Go these guys are very nice and they want your business and you can tell that they are proud to and glad to serve you food they do want to go home but they will stay open until the time it says that they are open until very very great people“
“5 star! 10 star! This place hits home for my fiance. He's from Chicago and has been very disappointed in the "Chicago" restraunts around. We've finally found one that makes being in Louisville tolerable for him. The Italian beef with nacho cheese added was perfect ! The wings.... if your from Chicago you know. He loves it ! Thanks for keeping him happy ? ?.Kid-friendliness: Great place to make your family feel welcome. Plenty of parking lot space to walk safe with your children to the door.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces, this is large lot.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all flat service, perfect for a wheelchair.“
“I'll admit, I thought I was going to be able to come in and sit down to enjoy a nice meal. However they only have carry-out. Now I am not used to eating such a big, scrumptious, fish dinner in the car. But, it was without a doubt the best meal I have ever eaten. I can't wait to get back downtown to stop here. This time I will bring a towel with me, so as not to get it all over my car. I will never forget how good this place is: fish, red potatoes, corn on the cob, and broccoli with a very yummy spice on it. The man who waited on me was nice and very polite. I presume this place is owned by immigrants so maybe they didn't have a whole lot to get started. You have to admire them that they were willing to do this.“
“First time dining here. The bone in ribeye was absolutely delicious and cooked perfect to medium. Just as good as any other steakhouse we attended. Salad was good oysters were very good. The service was the best. Abagail employee number 81348 took good care of us, was very friendly and tentative to our table. Thank you Abagail for such good service, you made it very enjoyable.“
“As always great fish, been coming to this one for years, was a little disappointed in the portion size, I think this is the only Moby that I have ever been to that actually only gives you a small piece of fish in the first mate meal, but it's still “
“Had a minor hiccup that was entirely the fault of doordash. But once we figured out the issue, the woman I spoke to was more than helpful and went above and beyond to correct the problem. The food was great, and I would definitely be willing to eat there again. Great job.“
“The restaurant looked very clean and the decor seemed much improved since the last time I ate inside. Our server did a good job. The food was delicious. We tried the new Crab Queso and the Salt and Vinegar shrimp, which were both good.I feel like Red Lobster has come back to being a place to dine.“
“I made a reservation for 8 online about two weeks out and on the day before I communicated with the owner that I would actually have 5-6 and he was very understanding and accommodating. We were seated in a large round booth next to the kitchen and our server was very nice and helpful. Food was amazing! My steak was cooked exactly how I asked and my husband really enjoyed the pizza and was intrigued by Gouda being on a pizza. I’ve also heard great things about the brunch so we will definitely return!“
“My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary last night and Alex A. took great care of us! We had a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. I also appreciated that it wasn't served too quickly so that we had time to really enjoy each other and the ambiance, as well as digest a bit between courses. We ordered the filet and NY strip, baked potato and the lobster Mac. Our chopped and Caesar salads were excellent, as well as the creme brûlée. We are so glad we chose Morton's to celebrate our special occasion!“
“This place is a small hole in the wall country diner type place, with great food and great atmosphere. Our server, Trish, was warm and welcoming, super sweet and helpful as we went over our options, and just provided a really nice atmosphere. The fish sandwich was all I've heard and more- good portion size, cooked to perfection, flaky, tender and just nothing bad to say at all. Fries were well seasoned too, and I also enjoyed the cole slaw.We got there right as fresh sweet tea was being brewed, so that was another welcome treat. The casual, relaxed feel, warm banter between staff and some other customers, and amazing food, good prices, means this place is now on our list of places to eat regularly.Only down side I could find was that they only take cash, so, be prepared for that. I wasn't. The store behind them has an ATM if needed.“
“Outstanding food, cocktails, and service at this Southern gem! Found ourselves in Louisville due to travel changes and we are grateful we found this incredible spot! Darius gave us outstanding service and all of his food recommendations were perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious but do yourself a favor and order a side of green beans….You won’t be disappointed. The jalapeño margaritas were amazing. Catfish, fried okra…The list goes on! Thank you!❤️“
“The fish sandwich and fries were delicious ?. Perfect seasoning and fried just like I like my fish. Prices are very reasonable and get a good amount of food. Will definitely be going back. I was surprised to see frog ? legs on the menu. Interesting but no thanks. ? Next, have to try the Philly Cheesesteak. Being from Philly, I have to see if it's on point.“
“I came in for lunch around 12:30pm. They weren't busy. I got 2 legs and 2 wings, baked spaghetti, seafood pasta, cornbread, greens and Mac/cheese. Chicken was sooo good! I swallowed it lol. The baked spaghetti was really good too. The seafood pasta was a little runny but flavor was there. The cornbread was soft and not too moist. The greens were so good! The Mac/cheese was plain and little runny but cheesy. I'm pregnant and this place satisfied my soul food craving i was having today. The lady servicing was very nice and we had a little laugh cause i was getting so much food. I'll definitely be back again for lunch. (I was so hungry i forgot to take a picture of my food before i swallowed it)“
“So I really would like to rate higher, Joe's was the only seafood place open relatively late. But the server who took us was clearly (while polite) we had come that late to closing. (We had family visiting) we ordered some pretty expensive buckets to eat as well as drinks but when it came time to pay the check server mentioned letting my male family member pay which did bother me.Otherwise food was delicious and drinks were great.“
“Ordered our lunch at the Take Out Counter. I got a "Fish ‘N Chips Basket" - which included plenty for one person. ("One piece of original hand-breaded cod, served with French fries & a hush puppy, plus choice of rye or white sandwich bread. Cost: $13.99 as of 4/16/24). It was the perfect day to sit outside & enjoy their rear landscaped deck(s) overlooking the (currently high) Ohio River. (The tables are positioned in either the sun or shade - we chose the shade). Location? Kingfish is right next to the Louisville Water Tower (3021 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). (History: A Louisville original since 1947).“
“Food was excellent our waiter was awesome. He made sure we had drinks when we needed them and went above and beyond. We ordered the barge me and my fiancé loved it we even had enough for lunch for the next day. Not everyday you can have two meals for one price. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.“
“Deshaun was an excellent server! Prompt and attentive to a party of 8. Did a good job of making dinner more of an experience, didn't feel rushed. The fish and chips were good, it was hot and not mushy. It's traditional fish with a heavy batter. The scallops were good and the Brussel sprouts were excellent! The oysters were fresh and delicious!“
