“Upscale Italian food with a true Italian flavor. The entree I chose was their Veal Scaloppini. The Veal was tender, flavorful and a large portion. Smothered in the best sauce I’d ever tasted. Their drinks are top notch and the service was impeccable. The rest of our party loved their dishes too. Just come with a fat wallet but the food and experience was worth it. We will be back!“

I got the chicken poppers as an appetizer; the breading on them is perfectly light and crispy, and the sauce has the perfect amount of zing to it! As my entree I got the Lil Piggy - it was absolutely fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the bun it came on, it must be made locally or in-house, because it was SO fluffy and plush! I also thought everything was priced very reasonably. I will absolutely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!In addition, the staff was extremely attentive and kind. “Have been there a half dozen times and their filet mignon is about the best I have ever had. Slightly crunchy on the outside and super tender on the inside. The accompanying sauces are all great as well. Shrimp cocktail are huge and the sauce is a different and better variation. Great wine selections and excellent service any time. Beer can desserts are ridiculously good. I have never had anything here that wasn't great. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. They are known for their "Sword of John Adams'. I have never had it but I have seen people order it and never able to finish it all.“

We had the artichoke dip which was amazing and the flatbread pizza which was cooked perfectly and had great flavor!If you're ever in the area, this is a must stop in. It is not a large rooftop, but they have great seating and fire pits along with seating at the bar, but get there early if you want a seat.“

“Another early supper/late afternoon at The Cellar Wine Bar and Kitchen with my sister Jane. The menu is so much fun to explore. The cocktails amazing (I had a Jeffereon Street Old-fashioned but was sorely tempted by the Harter Heights Hipster). The wines interesting and varied. I was thinking I'd try a Malbec from Argentina with a Cubano Panini. But I opted for a great cab (Iconclast) with meatballs. The herbs in the pork and beef meatballs were so good. Did I detect some rosemary? And the marinara sauce superb. And globs of burrata ensconced in the marinara. All accompanied by crostini. (Last time I had Adult Mac and Cheese. The time before that I had the andouille bruschetta with apricot spread. The Caesar Salad is excellent and easily shared by an army of 12. I didn't finish anything but have good meatballs for home eating. And, of course, crostini. We love Table 11 with it's comfy armchairs. The Cellar is so wonderful. Its owners embraced South Bend and Mishawaka and have created a space which is elegant yet casual. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

Bangkok Place by Kami is tip-top Thai!The ownership changed about a year ago and I had reservations that being a Thai restaurant in a small town, the deliciousness of the food would go down. Thankfully, I was entirely wrong. The food got better.Love Kami's Drunken Noodles. They are as good as the ones I used to order in Chicago. All of her curries are delicious and the spring rolls are authentic and tasty.If you haven't tried Kami's food, try it.Highly recommended!“

“Traveling with dogs, so delivery to a hotel is a must. Ordering via phone was courteous and easy. Fast too! They also had an appreciation for our hotel situation and provided plates and napkins. I had totally forgotten to ask. The side of hot pepper flakes and cheese was a welcomed bonus. Oh the pizza, a large special build of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and cheese was absolutely awesome. “My husband and I find a local pizza place to try when traveling. The South Bend area had multiple. I don't regret our choice, loved it. I think it has to be the cheese. I don't know the brand or the blend, but OMG, amazing. It's creamy and favorable. The pepperoni and sausage were layered between two layers of this cheese. The sausage was fresh, cooked to order for each pizza. It also had great flavor. It's a bit spicy, but not extreme.The only thing that could have made it better is a thick, creamy, made in house made ranch. The ranch tasted like kraft, which I'm not a fan of.Parking: This location is downtown. Parking can be hard to find if an event is going on.“

“Grew up eating Starlite Pizza. I’ve been out of South Bend for 40 years but every year I return starlight is my requested dinner for the first night. It never disappoints stopped in last night. On my drive into South Bend from Rhode Island and ordered three large pizzas. Absolutely delicious. I’ll probably pick up one more tomorrow as I continue my drive to Arizona.“

“We ate here today with our two sons and two nephews. 6 of us total and the wait time was not bad at all around noon. Once we were seated, DeOnte was taking care of us, he was absolutely AMAZING! As I’m sure you can imagine, dining with 4 children is not always the most pleasant experience. But DeOnte’s service was fast, seamless, and his energy was so positive and contagious! The kids meals were out fast which I SO appreciated and he was on top of every bit of refills etc!“
