This is New Albany's little gem hidden in plain sight! Great food, drink specials throughout the week, very friendly staff, and nice, sociable regulars. It has something to appeal to everyone! Bands, karaoke, trivia, poker nights, ect.
Excellent food and service
Had a blast at the triva night they host on Tuesdays. Great food and service and all around great atmosphere!! Will definitely be going back and absolutely recommend!!
Mac’s Hideaway in New Albany, IN is known as the Cheers of the area, where everyone knows your name. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, offering a good variety of entertainment like bands, trivia, poker nights, and karaoke. The food, especially the fish and shrimp, always hits the spot, and there are healthier options like the grilled chicken salad and chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. The atmosphere is laid back with plenty of bar games like arcades, pool, darts, and shuffleboard. While there might be a wait due to limited staff, the food, including a large fish plate with crispy fries and hush puppies, is worth it. Prices are fair, and the portions are generous. The servers are very attentive to everyone, and the place is larger than it looks, with separate seating for those under 21. With drink specials throughout the week and sociable regulars, Mac’s Hideaway is a great spot for good food and a welcoming atmosphere.
