Backstory.Steak 'N Shake is closed by us. This is the closest one. We drive 30 minutes to come here and has become our date spot once a month.When we first started this tradition 7 years ago..The place was a dump. The floors were always sticky, the tables always a mess our order was always messed up.Your shake never tasted like you thought it should CHOCOLATE DIDNT TASTE LIKE CHOCOLATE. Even the frisco sauce was weird it just didn't taste right. But heck it's the only close one...read full review

We moved away for about four years so it's been a while since we've been in a Steak and Shake. We were surprised that they no longer have table service; it's all kiosk orders now, but we didn't mind that. The problem was that the floor in front of all the kiosks was so sticky you could (honestly) hardly lift your feet. Everyone was walking around making a horrible sticky sound when they walked around. I was shocked to see that it operates like a fast food restaurant now. You have to order on the kiosk. Then they call you up when your food is ready. Why would I want to add a tip to my bill for that. However the food is delicious.
