“I'm so glad this place has stayed afloat with so many owner changes in the past several years. The new owners have done a lot to improve the place, including the mini golf course, and I really hope to see the course finally repaired as it was a childhood favorite to play on. Outside of the mini golf, the food here is really good. They have a great selection of sub sandwiches and pizza. Both reasonably priced and very good. I also got to try the buffet that they are testing out last week and absolutely loved it and I hope they keep it around. I'm excited to keep seeing improvements and happy to have another good pizza place around!“
“We had family who had pizza from here that they liked. We decided to try this restaurant and are so happy that we did!We each had a whole Italian grinder, but we could only eat half. Danny's makes their own bread, and the sandwich was delicious. We recommend Danny's!!“
“Its a rare occasion we are able to go out for a nice dinner and enjoy ourselves having 3 teenagers but when we do we like to try places we have never been! Tonight we chose the Backroads Tavern and let me tell you... we were NOT disappointed. A relaxing, scenic 45 min drive from angola resulted in the best meal we have had out in a long while. The cheese sticks were pretty darn close to "world famous" as our amazing waiter Chris stated. Followed up by the most tender waygu steak with crispy brussel sprouts and loaded fries! Not a single thing I could have done better had I made it myself at home! Drinks were nice and strong, atmosphere was pleasing. However... what made us want to rant and rave about this dining experience was the service we received. From the moment we walked thru the door we were greeted with a smile. Chris was attentive, personable, knowledgeable. He cared enough about his customers and the service he provided to the point we felt he had to be the owner! THAT folks is what makes me WANT to come back to an establishment! Job WELL DONE Backroads Tavern and Chris! Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!“
“Missy and her staff are absolutely wonderful! Hands down- the best food & customer service I have experienced from any food establishment in a very long time. The food was exactly as it was ordered and arrived at our table HOT!!I have also placed large pizza orders for my employee lunches. Again, excellent customer service. Everything was ready on time & staff helped carry pizzas out to my truck. I have never such outstanding service anywhere else. We will definitely keep coming back.“
“We tried a sub sandwich, onion rings and a cauliflower crust deluxe pizza. Waitress was super nice and brought out our food quickly. Everything was tasty but the onion rings were not as crispy as we had hoped. “I stopped in on Saturday looking for a bite. This place is on the main drag and easy to find. I stopped because it looked to be the only thing open and I needed some lunch. I really wanted something green after eating on the heavy side for a few days. I ended up getting a chef's salad which fit the need. The spot is a little run down and could use some sprucing up, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. What will definitely make me come back was watching them make pizzas. They looked so dang good, I almost ordered one on the spot.. but decided to come back another time. The pizzas look to be crusty and cheesy, so can't wait to try them too!“
“Awesome place in a small town. They offered a buffet and since we were a group of 10 we chose that. They even let us put tables together so we could visit. Staff checked on how we were doing a couple of times. The food was hot and fresh. They kept the buffet well supplied. We will go again.“
