“The food is amazing and the staff are incredibly friendly. The service was phenomenal! Don't let it's size fool you, this is perhaps my favorite Indian restaurant in the area.Kid-friendliness: They were super kind and accommodating to the kids. The kids loved being there.“
“Cute place, we loved the Biryani!Edit:Came here for the 3rd time. I got the masala dosa and it was cooked almost to perfection. It was soft and not crumbly like some Indian places nearby. They give you plenty of chutney and my came with yummy ginger pickle. It satisfied my southern cuisine cravings ? Na prema ordered mutton biryani and loved it! So yummy and will come back“
“One of the best and authentic Indian restaurants you could find in overland park and in kansas , i have tasted almost all their Non vegetarian dishes especially biryanis are delicious and flavourful chicken biryani and mutton biryabi are must try and coming to the starters i love their apollo fish and karampodi kodi and also they offer wide variety of weekend specials since the new management taken the place, the taste and the ambience and everything looks fantastic, if you love to taste the perfect indian food with your loved ones , i would definitely recommend this place.“
“I typically like to mix it up and get something I haven't had before or haven't had recently. But I went with Butter Chicken, medium spice level, and garlic naan. I am so glad I did. They were wonderful. The lunch serving size was adequate for two people. An order of garlic naan was 2 full pieces cut in half, making 4 good sized pieces. The spice level was perfect. At many places, it's difficult to tell garlic naan from regular naan. That is not the case at Spice n Rice. Plenty of garlic on these. I decided to eat the entire meal instead of taking half home, as it was so good, but in the future, one plate of food is plenty for two people, especially when purchasing naan in addition.Service was very quick and friendly. On the negative side, the waitress was so attentive that it seemed she was watching me eat. I would suggest that they try to strike a balance between attentive and watching too closely.“
“I like all of their food, especially vegetable samosa, chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, all of their beef and chicken dishes, nan (flat bread), and tamarind chutney. Oh yes, and their chai is delicious. My wife and I take half of our food home because we can't eat it all.“
“A decently-sized lunch buffet for a weekday. The buffet even included some sambal and idlis which were alright. The curries, naan, biriyani, and mango lassi were good. The desserts on the other hand were decent although only vanilla ice cream was offered.“
“A friend of mine and I just want today for Iftar and I just have to say the service was incredible especially after a long day fasting. Without us having to say anything, the moment, we sat down ,they gave us dates, water, pakode WITH chutney and rooh afzah. Our food came out maybe five minutes if not less after we broke our fast. Very speedy service, food was so yummy. I am very happy with our experience today. Only complaint is the portion for the butter chicken could have been bigger. Portions seem small.“
“The food was delicious - I especially enjoyed the 5-lentils with veggies. There's an option to pick entrees and types of rice, different kinds of Naan, etc.. A wide variety of selections, fast and fresh, more like a quick food place, but there are several tables for dine-in, with a fake fireplace and nice Indian music videos playing. My only complaint is wish they had real plates, glasses, and silverware for dine-in instead of just plastic/paper and drinks in bottles.“
“First time eating at Touch of Asia. The owner Seema was super friendly with helping me order. I wanted to try a little of everything so she recommended the Thali. It was perfect! More than enough for my friend and I. I eat a lot of Indian food and this is now # 1 in my book!“
“I stopped my truck in a truck stop almost 19 miles away from this restaurant I called them and requested them to send me food to truck stop where I am stopped, I was very hungry they sent me chicken and lamb karayee it was very delicious, naan was also delicious, I am thankful to this restaurant person as well as encouraging everyone to test this restaurant food you will enjoy it.“
“Wonderful place, wonderful food! This is the largest Indian buffet I've been to (and honestly one of the only ones left in town). It's a bit out of the way for me but I'm so glad I went! Delicious chai, perfect amount of sweetness. There was also a great blueberry shake when I went. The vegetable biriyani, daal, okra, potato pakora, and paneer masala were the highlights for me, all vegetarian. I wish everything was more clearly labeled as veg so I don't have to ask the staff, but that didn't detract from my visit. Restaurant was clean and busy - people were waiting outside for it to open - but not so busy that you had to wait for a table. You can tell it's a popular spot with returning customers. I'll absolutely visit again. I wish I took pictures but I was just too eager to eat the food. Next time!“
“After trying this place recently I have been back mutliple times. Nearly every menu item I tried was outstanding. It's hard to find their menu online, as their website apparently has virus or malware issues, and they are not particularly active with updates on social media. Everyone with whom I have interacted, including the owner, has been warm, inviting and appreciative of guests. I have always enjoyed my experiences. As someone who loves great cocktails, I did have a mixed experience. This is admittedly my own pet peeve, but I am not fan of cutesy drink names. I like an Old Fashioned to just be called that. It was a great drink though. The "Nanhattan" was also delicious, though I would maintain that it too was an Old Fashioned, as banana liqueur is more a replacement of simple syrup than of sweet vermouth. The "Dark Side of the Moon" cocktail on the other hand was a huge miss, being sickeningly sweet. I also noticed they charge $32 for a 1 oz pour of Blanton's bourbon (which I have seen priced from $18 to $30 for a 2 oz pour at other restaurants around the metro). Hopefully over time they will fill out the bar shelves, which are currently very sparse, with more options. The food presentation has been inconsistent. The first time I tried a short rib (no longer available) it was absolutely perfect. The next time I had it, the crispy herb leaf was missing. It's a small detail but it was such a fun, tasty addition the first time. Similarly, the aloo chaat, which is even described on the menu as featuring smashed fingerling potato, was absolutely delicious the first times I had it, but on a later visit the potatoes were served unsmahsed. This completely altered the texture and was not at all enjoyable. My wife was a bit bummed out by the very sad-faced leopard behind the bar. Despite my commenting on some negatives, I actually love this place and suggest that everyone give it multiple visits.“
