“Passing through KC on a multi-state road trip, looked up best BBQ spots and Q39 was on multiple lists. Lunch did not disappoint. Wife and I had the Judges platers. Chicken, pork, and sausage for her. Brisket, ribs, and sausage for me. All of the meats were amazing.Our server, Maddie M., was very friendly and helpful in choosing options. Normally we enjoy having a slower paced meal but since we're traveling it was nice that we were in and out in under an hour. Highly recommend!”

“My husband and I stopped in late last night and had the best Mediterranean food we've had in the KC area. The only thing to make it better was the people working. we had a chance to meet the owner and his mother and everyone was so welcoming and charming. I ordered my food online as it was almost close to closing time for the day and I had very good service upon entry and my food was brought to me and was out the door in under a minute. I unfortunately did not get to tip the young lady that helped me and as I was fumbling looking for cash to leave. She said to me with a good attitude "it was the thought that counts" I appreciated that and hopefully someone can be able to pay it forward to her for such a beautiful attitude or maybe when I'm in the area next time hopefully she's there and I remember who she is to give her a tip. If you're a fan of Mediterranean Cuisine you are foolish if you don't go here and check these lovely people out....The food is flavorful, very well done in traditional Mediterranean style.Seasoned beautifully. “I come to work in Overland Park a lot lately and I never knew about Pad Thai Restaurant until accidentally driving past it. So glad I tried it because I love Thai food and they did not disappoint. We had the Pad See Eaw, Yellow Curry Fried Rice with Shrimp, the Chicken Wings and Crab Rangoon. All of it was excellent and the service was great. Staff came around often to check on us and refill drinks/water. I will definitely be back soon.”

“We drove all the way from downtown KC to try this out with friends from OP. Low key outside but amazing vibe inside. Food was delicious and sharing between us 4 made the experience really enjoyable. Service was amazing. Only downside was how salty the food was but this might be my European pallet. Still would recommend 100%!”

“I'm from out of town, But this place was a classic steakhouse with a very homey feel and not too pretentious. I'm not a meat eater but the lobster tails were perfectly cooked and everyone on their plate had different stakes which were perfect as well, plates fully cleared. They cook the lobster perfectly for me without butter and I also had a side of asparagus plain grilled, and usually chefs overcook or don't clean the asparagus stems well and they did it perfectly too. Desserts were tasty too, although ice cream came out half melted in the bowls.”

We were quickly waited on by a friendly and efficient waitress. There were 6 women working this shift and all were in top form. Even the 2 cooks were women and that was a new thing to see at WH. The food arrived cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. This is one of the best WH in the area with one of the best teams I've seen working. Chewy boba and delicious milk tea- got the brown sugar milk tea which comes with boba and as a large.They have WiFi but no plug in for laptop. So not the best place to do work, unless you can do it on your phone.”

Also if you live up north, there's a location on I 29 and Barry road towards airport. AND if you like an adult beverage they will HOOK YOU UP. TRY IT”

The food is fresh, healthy, lots of tremendous options for your poke. Taste is superb. The bowls and specifically creating your own are my favorite. My toddlers enjoy their dumplings. I'm a stickler about things. Especially with food and all that encompasses that. This place nailed it. It's clean, organized, well executed on the business end and the food exceeds that. Great service too! I've tried other bowl places and it was not near as good! I'm pregnant and this is my main craving! I recommend eating here. It's very nice and fresh, clean and organized! Perfectly executed! Well done!”

“I visited this Scooter's location for an afternoon meeting and it met my expectations. Since it was an off time there was plenty of parking, and plenty of seating inside the cafe. I've stopped drinking a ton of caffeine later in the day, so I opted for an unsweetened green tea and it tasted as it should. TBH it's very hard to mess up an iced green tea, so I was satisfied. After my meeting I moved to a booth and worked for about another hour before heading out. The wifi worked great, it was quiet. No complaints. Would I travel back here for that tea? Probably not - but also it's a green tea so it tastes about the same anywhere you go. I think next time I try scooter's I'll try to come in the morning so I can see what kind of coffee drinks they have to offer.”

“Best Chinese food I’ve had in KC hands down. I went into China Chef because of their great reviews. No line, no wait, but it was obvious their take-out business is booming. I had many questions, general things like what veggies come in certain dishes and can they make non-spicy dishes spicy? The extremely patient and kind young man helping me was very knowledgeable, I’m assuming family-love that! I settled on beef&broccoli (spicy), kung pow chicken, beef fried rice, crab rangoon and vegetable spring rolls. Enough food for a 5 person family but going home to just my husband and myself!! It took maybe 10 minutes and I was on my way.Once home we had ourselves a lovely feast! The beef and broccoli and kung pow chicken comes with steamed rice which is a must for me. Husband absolutely fell in love with the fried rice. Both appetizers were awesome after I threw them in the air fryer for a little warmup. We ate Chinese food for THREE days. First of all, it was that good! Secondly, there was that much of it! We’ve had China Chef three or four times now and every time it’s awesome. I’ve settled on spicy beef and broccoli and husbands go to is beef fried rice. However, in my humble opinion, you can’t go wrong with anything there. Delicious food and friendly service!”

“We're forever driving past SmokeTown BBQ, commenting that we needed try to it someday. Yesterday was the day! The inside is perfect BBQ decor, wood paneling, tvs, neons, and of course a Kelce Swift cutout that looks like a cute picture opportunity. You order at the counter, and they bring it out. Everyone we encountered was so nice, and the food came out quickly. My first time order is always a brisket/beef sandwich and either onion rings or beans. Although I've heard amazing things about the mac and cheese, we didn't try it. The bun was soft and fluffy, the beef sliced thin (the way I prefer it), and the medium sandwich was the perfect size for me to demolish after skipping lunch. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, and delicious, but I can't confirm if they're made in house, for those who quest for the perfect onion ring. There were regular, sweet, and spicy sauce options, we didn't try the sweet, but liked the regular and the spicy. We'd definitely go back and try more things, especially the mac and piggy, and the smoked Gouda balls.”

The slice I got was deluxe and made to order I think because it came out piping hot fresh from the oven. My sister had a side salad that was large enough for two people and very good and fresh. I wasn't able to take pictures because we were hungry and just dug in. I will be back the next time I am in KC. We tried the cranberry cake also and it was great.”

The food was very good, we got the Chicken Romano and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with potatoes and green beans. For dessert, we got the apple crisp and it was delicious! One thing I love about this restaurant is the variety in the menu! It has everything you could want. It would take multiple trips to try everything you want to try! Large variety for a drink menu, food menu, and dessert menu (of course)! I am not a huge cheesecake fan, so honestly, I have never had their cheesecake but I have heard it is delightful! “Really enjoyed our experience and the pastries at Tous Les Jours. We came in late Sat morning (was quite busy) and I expected there to be slim pickings. To my delight they were actively restocking with fresh pastries from the back as we loaded up our tray. Most every "classic"pastries you could ask for, and then some excellent savory items to enjoy as well. Also a very good (and wonderfully hot) Americano.”

Because several different generations have been dining her for over 40+ years, they know good food, the servers recognize you and treat you well, and the owners are top notch, friendly, and care about your visit. “We met some friends there who had been there previously and recommended it. The food was pretty good, but because the walls are ceramic tile and the floor is concrete the place is very noisy. There were some children in there that were pretty loud and their voices echoed. So we didn't like that, but the food was good and we enjoyed that along with seeing friends that we hadn't seen in a while. My wife had three different tacos, one of which was the avocado and it was really good. I had the surf and turf burrito with rice and it was one of the better ones I've had in Kansas City. Not sure we'll be back just because the noise. The outside ordering window is unique and if it would've been a little warmer, we would've sat outside and it would've been just fine. I will say that the staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful.”
