“I don't usually write reviews, and I'm sure of all reviews mine doesn't make too much difference - but I could not let this one go without saying how truly amazing this was. My server Sarah (apologies if not spelled correctly) was absolutely amazing - gave me a free lil palette cleanser of the passion fruit sorbet (freaking amazing). You go in expecting to pay a good bill, but honestly it was SUPER reasonable for the amount of food I got, the service, food quality, and the environment.I felt super comfortable eating alone here, too, so bonus points for that.Also - the food is incredible. My taste buds were so jazzed about it. If I could recreate the sauce that came with the veal short rib, I'd put it on everything haha.Anyway, kudos to the chef, and kudos to my amazing waitress Sarah. “Where to start, whew... this place does not disappoint! If you're not looking for this place, you can definitely pass it. Made a reservation for 8 on a Thursday night, walked in and were seated right away. First thing is its very DIM in here, whew we need light, lol. But very cozy and intimate restaurant. I had the Cappellacci - short rib, shallot, thyme for my meal. Others at the table ordered the goat cheese, hazelnut honey, grilled bread - I had never tried goat cheese, but this bread is chef's kiss and patate and/or fingerling potato, salsa verde, pepperoncini - so good! To drink I had the Almafi (putting it out there to make it to the almafi coast one day). Jason the server was excellent! He went through the menu with us, answered questions and provided answers - very patient. Gratuity for large party was added, Jason advises of this when he returned with the checks. If I'm back in the cincy area, definitely will check if they have an opening, it did not disappoint - honestly!“
“We were here for a mid afternoon meal to celebrate a birthday. The Service was stellar, food was delicious and each person in our party of 5 loved their meal as well as the craft cocktails some of us enjoyed. It was my first experience having an apparel spritz and it was quite enjoyable. The price point per person with beer and cocktails was about $45 per person. I wasn’t sure how formal the attire would be and wore a casual dress with sandals. That was almost dressed up compared to most for the time of day, lots of shorts and jeans, if this helps anyone decide on what to wear. “Went for a birthday dinner and had an excellent time. The service is impeccable--efficient, friendly, with all of the added touches of a fine dining establishment. The food overall was very good, although not perfect. The Amish chicken was a little too salty and the tartare was good but uninspired. “Overall we had a wonderful meal at Rosie's. The salmon oreganata was delicious- perfectly cooked salmon, tender and flavorful. My husband had the rigatoni vodka. The pasta was cooked well and sauce had pleasant warmth from the chilis. We also had the crispy potatoes which were also quite good. Everything was portioned well and we're both full by the end (still had room for a scoop of vanilla gelato though- definitely recommend). We will be adding Rosie's to our rotation of Cincy date nights.“
“I stopped by Mama's while on a work trip looking for solid Italian food. This is a hard find in the Cincinnati area, but Mama's delivers. The chicken Parmesan was good, but the meatballs are the winner. Perfect date night place with an inviting atmosphere, definitely worth trying.“

“After a few disappointing visits to "best holiday brunch" spots we decided to check out someplace under the radar - our radar at least. I am a sucker for Italian food and Via Vite was having an Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet. Seems like a no brainer to me. We placed our reservations on Open Table and were charged a 50% hold fee for the reservation. With so many people no-showing on reservations these days, this makes sense to me. We arrived just before our time and were quickly shown to our table. The server was prompt and before you know it, we were heading for food. The buffet was not large, but if the items were good, there's no need for volume. Quality over quantity every day. The food was exceptional for holiday meal. The pasta and gnocchi dishes were fresh and tasty. The breakfast dishes were excellent. Fresh scrambled eggs, not powdered eggs. The French toast was made with Italian bread with added an unexpected and pleasant twist to the classic breakfast item. The bacon was butcher cut and perfectly chewy - at least perfect for me. I know some people like it crunchy. There was also roasted strip steak, carved on demand, and perfect little desert cups. The menu said salmon, but I did see it, maybe I missed it. It doesn't matter, I was highly satisfied. We will return. My only real complaint has ZERO to do with the restaurant, the parking at Fountain Square was $9, flat rate. NINE DOLLARS for 90 minutes. I thought the purpose of 3CDC was to support businesses within the CBD and OTR. Over priced parking will deter people from coming downtown for something less formal. If you want to grab lunch say at CityBird, the parking will cost you more than a sandwich. Nonsense.“

“Great dinner last night, our first time here. Got to the bar area around 5:30, there were some seats around the bar and a high top or two to choose from. Everything was good. Scallops were excellent with the eggplant not far behind. The Italian chopped salad was good but the roasted vegetable salad was better, we both thought. Don't skip the eggplant or scallops. Vodka pasta was good as expected too.“
“Here is my Favorite Gelato spot in Cincinnati. It has everything; The location which is a few steps from the Findlay Market which I tend to go frequently when planning to make a nice dinner, they have great service, the chill ambiance and of course the delicious gelatos. One of the main reasons I always tend to stop on this one is because they normally have Pistachio flavored gelato which is a big must for my wife and the other besides of my favorite flavor (cookies and cream) well there actual Ice cream cookies which are amazing! So amazing that I couldn't take a picture of it, BUT! if you look at the pic with the different flavors, they are are the bottom right corner. Definitely need to try them. If you haven't tried this place, give it a try, it wont disappoint.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch around 2:30. I had the tomato basil soup and house salad. Hubby had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and wedding soup. We split a slice of limoncello cake. Serve was friendly, informative, and attentive. Our drinks were always topped and he stopped by just enough to check on us. The tomato basil soup was so flavorful! Creamy and just a touch sweet. The house dressing on the salad was lemony and delish. Hubby’s soup was savory and full of good things. The housemade pasta and sauce were delicious. Creamy and garlicky without being too strong. That limoncello cake was so good, we got a slice to go!“

“Probably the third best NY style pizza in Cincinnati. The sauce and crust were both very good! Cheese was ok and I thought there was a bit too much garlic, but that’s just a personal preference. The biggest downside is the price - $28 for an 18inch margherita is a bit steep, especially compared to the competition. Overall though it was a solid pie - will be back to try their Detroit style pepperoni + hot honey, which seems to be their signature.“
“Went out for my birthday dinner tonight. Our server (Kailee) was wonderful and came back often to check on us. The butter for the bread was delicious. We got the toasted cheese ravioli for an appetizer. I would have liked a little more crunch but it was good! Their minestrone soup is delicious. I got the San Luci and he got the Chicken Milanese, both of these dishes were so refreshing and cooked well. Huge portions and plenty to take home. We shared a slice of the Italian cream cake. Everything was delicious and honestly this has been the best meal we've had in a while.“

“Visited Scotti's for the first time last night for dinner. The atmosphere is incredible. Old style Italian American. Low lighting and very romantic. I didn't remember our server's name but I will try to get it so I can request him again. The service was perfect. Started with some bread and got some olive oil to mix with parmesan cheese for dipping. The bread was soft, fresh, and a great opener. The minestrone was rich and full of flavor with al dente pasta shells. Ordered a side of meatballs. The red sauce was excellent - not too acidic and lots of flavor. The meatballs were huge. The texture was awesome. The meat was extremely soft and just fell apart when you cut into it. The taste was great with there a good amount of garlic. I ordered the Fettuccine Ala Guido and had them add shrimp. The Alfredo was creamy, buttery, and the best I've had. The portion was huge - I wasn't able to eat even half. My wife ordered the Cannelloni Speciale. The filling was awesome, pasta was perfectly al dente, and it was the same great red sauce as on the meatballs. I'm so glad we got both dishes so we could try each other's. Did dessert we got some tiramisu and cannoli both were excellent. My wife generally doesn't like cannoli but really liked theirs. Without question we will plan to return, and I strongly recommend you try them!“
“Canporosso always does a fantastic job with their wood fired pizza. It's the closest thing to real Neapolitan pizza in the area. Service was very good and the atmosphere is like a local pub. Usually crowded for dinner, but worth the wait.Parking: Only about 20 spaces available behind the building so finding a place can be difficult.“
