This location is like walking into a blast from the past. The interior is comfy and cozy looking. The staff is super friendly and the pies they make tasted spectacular. I can't wait to come back with my kids. It is a great site down shop that can 100% satisfy your sweet tooth craving.
I first went to Homemade Ice Cream & Pies in 2000. It was really good then and remains good now. Ice cream, cake, pie and a comfortable place to sit and visit. I no longer live in Louisville but make sure to get some dessert during my trip home.

This was the best pie any of us had ever had. Even the ice cream was amazing. We tried the rhubarb, lemon merengue, and chess pie. Everything was amazing!! The workers were so patient with us when we ordered 6 different slices of pie and ice cream an hour before closing. Must try!!
