Just bought a box of honey fortune cookies from Kroger and over half of the cookies plastic were damaged. It definitely needs to be a quality control being done before boxing. The couple I was able to eat tasted ok but all the others were stale do to defected wrappers. Not the first time this has happened.
I used to buy Honey Almond cookies from a local Chinese restaurant and they were DELICIOUS! Needless to say I was excited to see these in the grocery store. The restaurant was 3/$1.00, these were 12/$1.99. I just KNEW I'd be blowing a big part of my check there each week. I got this box to the car, and couldn't wait any longer. I found these fortune cookies at my local Smith's store (a Kroger affiliate) I don't know whats happening at their factory but quality control is abysmal. This last box I purchased: Several cookies not even sealed on one side of their pouches. Half of the cookies were smashed. 3 cookies did not have a fortune in them. 5 cookies burnt to the point of obvious burnt color AND burnt flavor. Im not pleased with this.
