“This place is amazing. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“
“It doesn’t get better than osheas! You should visit this fine establishment any day that ends with “Y”. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, milkshakes, or drinks this is the place to go. Exceptional service from the whole staff all the time, every time! Kevin, Ryan, Lance and all the other personable staff there make every visit special. The foods delicious and the menu options are great!“
“Out of towners trying this breakfast/brunch restaurant out for the first time! outside atmosphere was adorable and gives a feel of "home". Patio seating and seats outside under a tent, where the outside bar is! The wait time was about 45 mins for a table, but that was perfectly okay because of the outside bar and porch to wait! cornhole, table jenga, and connect 4 games were also outside, so there are things to do while you wait. the food is spectacular. Try their homemade jams and hot sauce! You won't be disappointed! Service was excellent. We sat at the bar, bartender was great (Jasmine), and the wait time for our food was under 10 mins. I ordered the BIG BAD BISCUIT - Make sure you have room in your belly because the portions are extremely generous! I could only eat half of the biscuit! Very clean, "homey", and just an overall wonderful experience. Great Job!“
“Super awesome visit !! Great beer selection and a super cool tap room. Love the food truck on site. It was a beautiful day and it was awesome out on the patio !!! Totally worth a stop if you are looking for an awesome beer at a brewery with a fun vibe !!“
“I decided to try this coffee place which is in Hotel Marty. It's a small space with chairs and tables. Since it was December, they had some holiday themed drinks and I tried the white Christmas which is a white chocolate mocha and cinnamon flavor. They were doing some construction work at the time but it's a nice little place to catch up with friends and relax!“
“We went to MozzaPi with our 4 year old grandson last night and had the best pie! The staff are amazing, welcoming and kind. We had a little spill incident with the 4 yo and they were so very understanding. Thank you to the lovely woman at the order counter. She rocks! The food was outstanding! Did I mention the food and how excellent it was? Well go and see for yourself. Highly recommended. We will be returning.“
“Been here 4 times and they're great every time. Huevos Rancheros are a go to. My favorite dish is the Chipotle Poached Huevos! The Cuban Coffee is a perfect blend of espresso and raw cane sugar. Service is fantastic. Dining area is vibrant for a bright morning vibe. Spacious with comfy booths or tables. Highly recommend this establishment for your next outing!“
“I ordered a small catering for a girls lunch and everything was amazing! The fruit tray was the most beautiful and fresh tray I’ve ever seen! The charcuterie board was delicious and the sandwiches were perfect! We will absolutely be ordering from them again!!“
“I sat down at the Chic’n & Mi bar today to grab a Togo lunch after kayaking bluegrass creek. The food is great! I ordered the carrots and the mushroom egg rolls with chili sauce, YUM! ? the bartender was very nice & food came out fast.“
“First time experience. Food was tasty but felt a bit pricey. Service was very slow. Soda was not correct syrup consistency but when asked the charge was removed. Not sure why there was a merchant fee. ?? They ran out of silverware.Vegetarian options: One of us had a taco that had a black bean burger in it. Excellent taste.“
“I have been here twice and love it. One day I hope to be in a position to adopt one of the lovely felines I got to play with.Their drinks are fantastic and so are their bakery items! They have a variety and of course everything has a feline name! The staff is wonderful and very accomodating, they will work with you as a walk in a lot of the time! (Except when they have pre scheduled events like the cookie night that I attended!)I hope to return soon! The cookie decorating event I attended-you go upstairs in the loft and decorate your cookies, then get to go down and cuddle kitties!“
“This place is wonderful! Here in Louisville, Ky for my nephew's wedding & his mom & dad suggested this place for an afternoon beer. Such a pretty spot. Great bartender & great craft beer & sours. There is a downstairs that is adorable. Can hang out & play board games. Also a nice cozy spot to hold an event. Highly recommend this place for locals and out of towners!“
“Truly one of my favorite places in Louisville to grab a pint, a very, very tasty pint in fact. If you're a fan of hazy IPAs, I recommend you look no further than my favorite tap of Fuzzy Fields. As the name suggests, this perfectly golden and yes, fuzzy, hazy IPA sends tingles to every last one of your taste buds. The ambiance is very relaxed. Beer tenders are all kind and friendly. You can bring your dog. No food served but Nulu is stacked with options you can bring in to munch on while you sip glorious beer. They have a really great trivia event every Sunday at 5:00. Jake, the host, is fantastically charismatic and puts together a challenging but fun to play game.“
“I had a fantastic experience with Endless Summer paddleboard company. It was a lot of fun, provided a great workout, and gave me the chance to meet some wonderful people. The owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable paddleboarding adventure!“
“2/22/24 : Ate here last night and today. The food is great. Probably the best tomato soup I've had and it pairs perfect with their grilled cheese. Prices are more than fair and seem to have a selection of craft beers on tap. There's an interesting spice vending machine inside aswell. I'll definitely be back.“
“Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Cuban food. Clean and understated place that produces excellent staple foods. The Lechon Asado was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tostones were great, and the plantains were fresh. Fresh bread lines one wall, and their dessert cooler looks like pure evil! I felt like I was in Miami.“
“Fun atmosphere, clean restrooms, amazingly friendly and helpful team members! They made beer suggestions provided little samples and had these awesome solo cup cozies!!! They also have tasty bourbon slushies we were just enjoying beer last night. Highly recommend 3rd turn!“
“What a wonderful bar to visit while we were visiting. They have a ridiculous number of bourbons to try at very reasonable prices. The other cocktails were also reasonably priced. I loved all the messages of inclusivity in the bar. Why don't we have bars like this in South Florida?“
“We love this brewery. It's chill enough we can take our baby, and the service is awesome. They have tons of beer options, and they have a full service bar with cocktails. Their food is awesome too, and I definitely recommend the pretzel and beer cheese!“
“First time trying Lupo and would definitely go back! Pepperoni pizza, pasta with pork, and cabbage were all very tasty options. The pizza crust was perfect and pizza itself had the right amount of toppings. Ranch was great. Overall the flavors were spot on and it looks like they have a great variety of unique flavor combinations. Nice patio seating and decently quick service. The restaurant itself was clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. They have a parking lot right next to the building, but it was full so we parked in the overfill lot across the street (not far at all) Would recommend!“
“Owner bill is awesome, he took time to teach me about bourbon and what goes well with what. The selection at his bar is top notch. If you can’t find it to have a taste there, chances are it doesn’t exist. Soon as I go back, one of my first places to go to have a drink.“
“BBQ was fantastic!! Wings were large and meaty and so delicious!! Pulled pork was so fresh and fabulous and the smoked baked beans were fantastic.. the service AMAZING, owners are so kind and helpful and patiently waited for my order! My new place for BBQ.. I’m in LOVE!!Parking: Plenty of parking and also a handicapped parking spot right beside the wheelchair ramp.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly / family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair / handicap assessable“
“We had dinner there last night with some of our family for our grandson’s birthday. The food was excellent! The service was superb with all the waitresses being so friendly and exceptionally helpful to us. It was a wonderful birthday celebration and we will definitely be going back to “bar Vetti” again and highly recommend it to all our friends. Thank you for a great evening!“
“Jessica & Harrison were perfect company this afternoon. This place is all about Cheese, Cheers, and Charcuterie’s!!!! If you are looking for a light atmosphere, great conversation, delicious cheeses & meats. This is your place!!! Ohhh I forgot to mention they have a well stocked selection of spirits, as well as a quality selection house cocktails.“
“I love their rotating Cider selection, and I tend to get food from the pizza place next door or a snack from the cat cafe nearby and bring it over! Plenty of seating, the bartenders are really nice, and they have trivia on Wednesday! Dog and child friendly too, and they have some board games to borrow and play. Would definitely recommend going by and checking it out ☺️“
“Title: Delight on Wheels! The aptly named 'Hope on Wheels' taco truck has quickly become my go-to spot for an authentic and delightful taco experience. The quality of the food is top-tier and the flavors are unparalleled, reminding me of a journey through the heart of Mexican culinary tradition. The variety on the menu is just right. Whether you're in the mood for a classic al pastor, a succulent carne asada, or a creative vegetarian option, you'll find your cravings satisfied. The freshness of ingredients speaks volumes about their dedication to quality, and the balanced blend of flavors is nothing short of a masterpiece. But the joy doesn't stop at the food. The staff at 'Hope on Wheels' exudes warmth, making you feel welcome with their friendly banter and exceptional service. The speed of service is impressive as well - they've truly perfected the art of crafting outstanding tacos at lightning speed. And the best part? All of this culinary excellence is served on wheels, bringing hope and happiness directly to you. So wherever you are in town, you're never too far from a little piece of Mexican heaven.I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Hats off to 'Hope on Wheels', for not just serving tacos, but also dishing out sheer joy with each bite!“
“I have drove by this place many timed and didn't have opportunity to stop by. Until I finally get chance to stop by to have a nice breakfast. When I entered, the vibe wasn't too bad. It is quite quiet which I like it. The host /serve was nice. I ordered their traditional Mexican coffee, Cafe con Leche and their signature dish. I had added chorizo to it. It was soo good! I would love to come back to try few more dishes.“
“Love the ability to order various different sliders and create your own meal. The smoked ketchup was amazing. We tried one of almost everything and our favorites were the corned beef, pork belly and the cheeseburger. Another huge plus is that they have tots! 10/10 would recommend.“
“7/3/16 it was absolutely wonderlicious ? i had wings...cheese corn....collard greens and some spicy pickles on the side omg it was DELICIOUS! !!! service was great ! Very friendly and fast ....i will be back for sure ....i also had bread pudding alamode ?it was enough that 4 of us shared it ❤❤❤❤❤❤Update a friend and I ordered wings last night . She had never had the smoked wings before. We also got the bread pudding for dessert. It was fantastic. The wings as always were plump juicy and smoked to perfection. The side of bbq sauce was the cherry on the cake. I can't say enough about the quality. The bread pudding was delicious OMG . I AM A FOODIE/ GROUPIE AND I LOVE TURNING PEOPLE WHO LOVE GOOD WING ONTO MOMMAS. THANK YOU FOR EXCELLENT FOOD THAT NEVER DISAPPOINTS ?????5 HEAD RATING LOLOL*******************************Update 4/6/2024Very sad to say I had a bad food experience. I ordered wings green beans coleslaw and a side salad. The wings were SO salty it ruined them. The green bean were sweet?? Never have I ever had sweet green beans. The side salad was good. The slaw had to be old it had a sour outdated taste. I had diarrhea a few minutes after getting home. I'm not sure if I will ever be back to this location. Use to be one of my favorites. My waitress was very nice though.Parking: Be careful parking in Walgreens parking lot. They have tow away signs now . Also restricted on street parking loading zones 1 hour limit. A real pain !“
“i have a trouble focusing and being frustrated while i do my school work, it’s been a problem for me for a while. when my friend told me about this shop, i’ve gone there to do my class work and it’s helped me SO much with focusing and feeling safe. everyone is so welcoming, kind, and everything i have had there has been so tasty. all the bad reviews are wrong. give it a chance!! keep on being awesome y’all!!“
“Popped into this establishment on a whim. Heard a song I liked and seemed like great ambiance. It was a rainy midweek evening and ended up staying many hours. The bartender Michael made excellent Old Fashioned. We enjoyed it so much and told they were having an event on Friday and invited us to come back. So we did. Now on a Friday it was far more lively even though it was another rainy night, and the great cocktails continued. They had a really great selection of bourbons as well which was a nice surprise. They also have a patio bar in the front of the building and had one last drink while waiting for our Uber.“
“The s’mores dessert was insane! I brought it home to my fiancé after dinner with friends without looking at it and we were both blown away with how great it looked and tasted. Way fancier than we expected.I was pleasantly surprised by the menu. They had classics like chicken pot pie, specialty hot dogs like you would expect from the name, but also lighter options if you’re looking for something fresh like a tuna salad place with crudités.“
“Great place to hang out and drink in Louisville. They are open late. Good music, can get crowded on the weekend. The open patio is great. We didn't eat there, I don't know if they offer food because this is definitely a place for drinking and not eating.“
“Stopped on a Saturday night. They have a great beer selection. I opted for Atrium Kolsh. He got a great burbon from the wide selection. It was a great night to sit on the back deck under the heaters. Spacious seating inside and outside. The staff is friendly and helpful, even on this busy night.“
“This was a great tour! While more relaxed than other distillery tours the tight-knit family and team make the experience well worth it. On this tour you get to learn about not just their bourbon but other spirits as well as all about prohibition and how it influenced the company. There were several tastings and in the end I was able to actually theive my own bottle straight out of the barrel. Overall, a fantastic experience with great people. Highly reccomended!“
“A delightful, cozy bakery and cafe! I only had time to grab a couple of sweet treats to go (obviously a kouign amann couldn't be missed!), but this would be a lovely place to linger over breakfast with a loved one. Next time I'm in Louisville!“
“Emanuel and Isabel were absolutely amazing! They were able to come out to an event we were having for over 300 people on very short notice! The food was so delicious! If you're looking for a wonderful couple to come and cook some yummy food for your event! This is the perfect service! Thank you for coming out and feeding the Fairdale Youth League Families and my family!!“
“A local watering hole. A staple. Bambi is a legend and you can't say you've been to the Highlands unless you've been to Bambi for a drink or burger or better yet the "Bambi Walk". Always good service and a fun crowd! Do yourself a favor and make a trip, and liven up any afternoon or evening!“
“We went here for a bingo event and had an absolute blast! I wont lie, when we first walked in the vibe just seemed off. We weren't greeted by anyone and had no clue where to sit or how to order drinks or food. We finally asked one of the staff members and got it all figured out. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly! The bingo event was so much fun and we won a bunch of really cool prizes! We will definitely be returning!“
“This is the best bar in Louisville. They are all about bringing people together and fostering community. The music is kept to a level where you can hear others talk — unique feature on the bar scene. Ping pong tournament every Thursday at 7pm - don’t miss it! Also, Mattie is an excellent and attentive bartender. You are in good hands with Mattie!!“
“The food and service from this establishment is nothing short of pure authenticity! I have had French cuisine in both France and Belgium and this exceeded all expectations. The owner is one very consummate professional in how he cares about his guests. Also, Tom needs to be recognized for his outstanding service and pacing of our meal. Thank you to the owner, server Tom and especially the chef for what was a great experience.“
“I had the chicken biryani (special of the day). It was just perfect!!!! Right amount of spices (not too much or no too little). Service is great !!! Small dining area but kept quite well. My regular go to is hummus (starter), chicken Shawarma or Athenian broiled chicken. Their hummus (starter) and garlic sauce are heavenly !!!! Now, I can add Chicken Biryani (special) to that list.“
“Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Lounge, table, and picnic table seating is available in what is mostly an outdoor bar. You can always expect to see a dog or two and they are always welcome. Fair price on drinks, both liquor and beer. Food was provided by a food truck.“
“Out of towners trying this breakfast/brunch restaurant out for the first time! outside atmosphere was adorable and gives a feel of "home". “Great dinner for 5 at classic Louisville Bardstown road location. I think reasonably priced too our tab included bar drinks and a nice bottle of red wine. I enjoyed very nicely cooked grilled salmon, wasabi potent to my liking ( if you have a wasabi limit, mention that to your server so they can dial it back for you ) something for everyone as chicken livers salad, burger, chicken piccata also enjoyed at our table. Sever Marty could not be more helpful knowledgeable entertaining. Well done Uptown! Hope to be back again soon“
“Stopped in & tried a cider- it was light and refreshing on a warmer fall day! This small brewery is perfect for anyone exploring the Old Louisville neighborhood, the bartenders are kind and knowledgeable about the menu and the neighborhood in general. They have new beers very frequently so it's worth stopping back in to try something new!“
“Stayed at the Moxy and decided to try the tacos here. I actually ordered the chicken nachos. They were very good. I ordered a side of the cilantro lime rice and shockingly it has no flavor to it at all. However the nachos were very flavorful. Staff was super friendly and the food came out fast! It was a great experience and will eat again when I return to town.“
“Our group of 25-30 people felt very well taken care of and the bartenders were super happy and attentive! Our food came out hot and fresh exactly when scheduled, and the skylight room was the perfect ambiance for our attendees. Love that there’s elevator access, life saver for some of our guests! Yearly tradition for our team.“
“Great casual Irish pub! I love the outdoor eating area, and the beer selection. Only weakness is the food quality past appetizers. Edit: I will continue to update this review as I sample the menu. This is one of the few restaurants I can eat at due to a soy allergy, as they do not fry in soybean oil!Food: All of their appetizers are great, but a lot of their food fare isn't very good unless you're eating after you're 2+ beers in. Scotch egg isn't a true scotch egg, but still decent. Fish and chips are classic, steak fries are reliable. They know how to fry food well. The bangers and mash are very difficult to stomach, which was a disappointment as I love making this dish at home! The staff are mindful if you ask for food restrictions. Even if this business is more well known for its bar, it's important for a pub to have quality food as good as its alcohol.Service: No critiques! The staff is extremely friendly and kind (if you can, be courteous and tip them well).Atmosphere: it's a warm, brighter lit Irish pub. Lounge chairs, booths, high tables and small tables are available. My favorite seating is the outdoor patio. This spot seems popular and cozy for older crowds (think the cracker barrel crowd if they were fun), and is good for chill sports viewing. Despite the potential for clash, this is also a comfortable spot for younger, non-sporty folks to grab a pint in a booth.Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to soy. As of 3/25/2024 this business does not fry in soybean oil or oil that contains soybean oil. Be mindful and ask if other ingredients contain additives. The wait staff are very kind and will be helpful with whatever dietary restrictions you have.Parking: There is a parking lot behind the building.Wheelchair accessibility: This business is not very wheelchair accessible when alone. The building has a tall staircase in front, but has a flat entrance from the rear parking lot. The doors are not motorized for wheelchair accessibility. The restaurant seating is crowded at wheelchair height (small tables, lounge tables, booths). A wheelchair user *may* have to sit at a table that is in a walk path for servers, which could be uncomfortable for both the patron and others.“
“I like that it's not weighed. You pay for a cup, and fill it up. You aren't hit with a "well that was a lot more than I thought it'd be, because I'm not a mathematician calculating my volume of yogurt and candies person." Decent selection of toppings, yogurt, soft serve, even dip/dots, and Philly ice!“
