“I've enjoyed coming to VV so much that I've made it a part of my weekly routine. I've been for a morning coffee, lunch, and dinner. They do a great job serving across all three areas of their menu.I'd highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation for lunch and dinner.“

“I was recommended to check out Cream + Sugar Coffeehouse and I'm glad I went. I ordered the Lavender tea and it was incredible! Highly recommended that option. They also have various other drinks on their menu as well as food. Plenty of space inside to work, study, or have a chat with friends. Service was quick.“

“Stopped on our way from Ohio to Nashville. Quaint little place. Friendly staff food was very good. Had the Burrata which was some toasted baguette pieces with mozzarella and tomato. Also had a Cobb salad and the special sandwich which was a toasted sandwich and cream of mushroom soup. Overall a very tasty stop.“

“We came here on a Saturday at 11:30 AM. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. We ordered the Shakshuka, Omelette and 2 Israeli sandwiches to eat. To drink, we got the the carrot and orange juices. Both delicious and freshly squeezed/pressed. The star of the show is the challah bread. Cheers !“
“Popped in before dinner for drinks on Friday night. Parked right out front of the spot and breezed in. After being warmly greeted by the host, we parked at the bar. The place is beautiful. Love the design choices and the blue notes. A big table carved into the back wall looks great for a group. The drinks take awhile for the staff to make, so prepare yourself. However the wait is definitely worth it. Loved every drink we had. The French 75 was light and crisp. The Peardon my French was tasty and not overly sweet. I'm not a huge rum person but would highly recommend the hibernation sour. The bit of salt and spice was fantastic. Can't wait to come back. I want to try their daytime coffee and food menu.“

“Was told to try this place out and am very glad that I did. I ordered an iced latte and a breakfast sandwich and was blown away by both of them! Latte was small but packed a punch and had great flavor. Breakfast sandwich was a croissant with egg, sweet potato, cream cheese and (I think spinach?). Legitimately one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in the whole city. Do yourself a favor and try out this gem in the West End.“

“I have visited nearly every coffee shop in NKY, there are few that I literally think about weekly wishing I lived closer to visit more often. Unataza is top of that list. Their atmosphere is warm and inviting from the decor to the employees there was never a moment I didn't feel welcome. They serve Honduran coffee that is rich and blends beautifully with their homemade syrups and flavors. They rotate flavors with the season but majority are house made and festive. Their espresso drinks I could order by the dozen and I'd still want more, they're that good. They also serve authentic Honduran food from breakfast to lunch, they're a great compliment to a sweet drink. I adore this place and wish I lived closer to visit more but each visit here is such a treat.“

“If a coffeehouse does not have at least one couch and a couple “comfy chairs” to enable one to chat with a friend—it needs to close down and get out of the business. This place has it all! This place is NOT overpriced, it satisfies not just with the coffees and drinks but also has unfussy, unhipster sandwiches, fast breakfasts without all the goofiness, stiffness and pretension of the modern “it” coffee shop. Spacious, sanitary, yet comfortable and with a smart investment in an outside patio too. They welcome locals who just want to watch an FC Cincy soccer game, have a cocktail, get “out of the house” but not feel like you are entering some enigmatic world of strange new vocabulary for coffee.“

“Nice spot very affordable I got at 16oz coffee and muffin for under $10 can’t beat that . everyone was friendly and nice I love a good coffee shop. The music was great can get a lil busy so might not always be the best spot for studying. But there is some extra room to study. Wi-Fi available. The dirty hippie is my new go to “

“Bruh..had a chocolate dip, cake, doughnut with peanuts… may be the best doughnut I’ve ever had!Chicken strips, curl fries, very good! Very impressed with the food! The piece they need to keep improving is the speed of the operation. Seemed short staffed and/or just a bit slow. Several waiting around for their orders. It actually had me question (maybe I made a bad choice here!)But that Doughnut was special.“

“Really nice coffee shop with balanced lattes. I had the lavender latte w/ oat milk (in video) recently, and it was great. Plenty of seating so this would be a great place to work, but it does get busy! They also have some fun specials throughout the year. My friend recently loved their pot o' gold latte.“

“Such a gem. Stopped while in town for the weekend and will be back. Staff are friendly and kind. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect place to chill, work or read. Good seating options and love all the windows. I got their seasonal drink — peppermint mocha? Iced, and I’m glad I did. So sweet and good, but not over the top.“

“A good place to get coffee and a small bite. Definitely have some unique options but every day caffeine fixed for those who work around there. Pricing like most smaller coffee shops are a little high but worth it. They have decent food options for sure.Vegetarian options: They have some vegan options. So they try to appeal to everyone but I'm not vegan so I can't elaborate more on the vegetarian side of things.Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of the menu items labeled clearly and they will answer any questions. They do try to appeal to vegetarians or vegans as well as others.Kid-friendliness: It's a coffee shop located downtown so there is no reason kids and families cannot hang out there or stop by to get a bite to eat or a drink“
“My new favorite coffee shop in Cincinnati! It’s so serene inside the store and LOTS of great books to read or purchase. Beautiful interior and artwork too. I tried ‘the hook’ toast which went well with their signature latte ‘newsprint’The place is in a beautiful neighborhood if you want to take a stroll with your coffee!“

“My friend and I happened upon this gem while on a girls day in Latonia. From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms. The baristas answered our questions and whipped up the most delicious drinks. The owner introduced herself and showed us around, quickly becoming a friend. We sat for a while on the amazing pink velvet couch and fell in love with this quaint little shop. Before we left, the owner offered to loan out her personal shopping cart (which she decorated for us). It was a memorable day and we will definitely be back!“

“I’ve been trying a lot of highly rated restaurants in OTR and I would say the food here is the best out of all of them. Latin and Spain style tapas to choose from which are delicious and Latin music playing for good vibes. Pretty cozy on this rainy Sunday. Additionally, the coffee is really good.I stumbled in here looking just for coffee and what I got was a full meal, nice people, and a chill atmosphere. Muy delicioso.Only thing I would request is for real cutlery or better plastic ones. Luckily, no one was around to watch me struggle to cut my food with the weenie plastic ware they had.“

“A beautiful, clean, coffee shop with really lovely, well informed baristas and great coffee beans! At the end of my trip to Cincinnati I purchased a V60 pour over of the Gesha coffee they had that day from Finca San Jeronimo Minamar in Guatemala. It was so delicious I got a bag of coffee beans to go! Notes of jasmine, peach, and shortbread! The barista told me “brew it at a high temperature to really get the jasmine notes.” They were right!I tend to rate a city by the presence of high quality coffee shops, and because of Deeper Roots, Cincinnati was an absolute hit with me!“

“Everything about this place is amazing. The people, atmosphere, the food and drinks. There’s such care put into every aspect of your experience at Mom ‘n ‘em. From the kids steamer that is thoughtfully made to be warm, not hot (get the homemade vanilla!!) to the awesome coffee, to the croissants…most recently I’ve found that their housemade granola - and their house made almond butter! - are pretty much the best things ever. Literally every time we visit Cincinnati to see my parents we stop here at least once. So grateful this place has come to my hometown!“

“I've walked past 1215 so many times on the way to somewhere else. We were out and I was craving an espresso martini, so we figured the wine bar and coffee lab was the perfect choice. I was skeptical of ordering their fancy version or a traditional espresso martini because of the mention of chocolate. I'm not a super sweet drink kind of person. I went out on a limb and decided on their fancy version (top model or something like that?) It was sooooo good! Service was fantastic.“

“This teeny-tiny and unassuming place has some fantastic coffee! Our first visit (of many to come) my wife got an espressoda and I grabbed an iced latte. Both drinks were great but the espressoda is worth going out of your way for. The staff is great and the service was really quick despite how busy they were. The only drawback is how small the seating area is.“

“If you’ve had coffee in cincinnati, there’s a good chance the beans are from deeper roots! Consistently so good!! I usually get an iced oat milk latte year round and this morning was no different Exocet I added a ham and cheese crosstant to my order! They even wanted it up for me?Wouldn’t have a cincy coffee scene without deeper roots! If you’re visiting and traveling through would highly recommend grabbing coffee from them or any coffee store that uses their beans ?Parking: There is a parking lot to the right of the store front that is free to use for any of the surprising business in the area off Madison road! There is also meter parking out front that uses the cincy ez parking app!“

“I never have a bad experience coming here. The coffee is one of a kind in cincinnati and the vibe is super chill and relaxing. “Food: 4.5/5 They have macarons in every color of the rainbow. After trying many flavors, our favorites are the pistachio, birthday cake, and fruity cereal. The pistachio has a great pistachio flavor and is not overly sweet. The birthday cake is strawberry-forward and is excellent if you have a sweet craving. The fruity cereal tastes exactly like fruity pebbles. They have other flavors we enjoy as well, like salted caramel and Madagascar vanilla. They are delicious and so cute! Service: 3.5/5 Since they have the macarons prebaked, service is usually fast. They have other baked goods for sale that I haven't tried. They have cute long boxes they put them in. Atmosphere: 4/5 The storefront is small, with limited seating. The space is mainly filled with baking equipment. It's very clean and has a minimalist aesthetic with pops of color.“

“Great coffee! They were already sold out of their quiches and sandwhiches when I strolled in around 11:15am:( but was able to snag a slice of banana bread. It was good, but nothing crazy! Ordered an iced oat milk latte and it did not disappoint! All together it was $9 for both items, not bad! Loved the glass that they served it in and with a compostable straw as well! Lots of tables but for someone who chronically forgets to charge her laptop, not enough plugs around the tables :/ there was a good chunk of people already here so I think those tables might have the plugs ? I couldn’t tell because I didn’t want to stare. If you need a stimulating place to work while getting computer work done, there are paintings and art work all around to enjoy and to even buy! As well as lots of locally made items that would be great to give as gifts!“

“I am a local College Hill resident and visit this coffee shop often. It is bright and airy with a boho modern feel. The coffee served is La Terza, which is one of the best local cincy roasters. Seasonal coffee drinks brighten up the mood with small food side dishes, including salads, pastries, and sandwiches, filling your appetite. Luminary is becoming a College Hill staple as I have run into many a neighbor there. They sell La Terza coffee in bags, which is convenient and makes a great gift.“

“Came here for some coffee and their latte was genuinely delicious. You know when your coffee tastes like how coffee smells. Highly highly recommend. The chai latte on the other hand was so heavy on ginger and nothing else... it just was not it. But I would come back for the coffee. Also, it would be great if they could get to know their products a bit. I ordered a cheesecake cake pop. 3 workers gathered to decided which one is the cheesecake one... and they got it wrong. Weird“

“This is a really cool cafe with delicious French treats. The croissant donut with Nutella is absolutely to-die-for. But don't forget the savory pastries too (like Smoked Sausage Bread). Well worth the drive from the suburbs, and parking along 4th Street is fairly convenient. Get the app before you go to earn rewards.“

“2023: 4/5 stars. Collective has lost some of its magic over the years. It's still pretty good, but the costs have just gone up a lot. Pour overs that were once $3–4 are now $6–7, when they actually have them, for example. They are using North South for pastries now which is a big win. They have largely stopped doing lots of the fine touches that used to make them what they are, such as the single origin espresso option. I still visit, but a lot less than I used to. There are so many other options now compared to OTR in 2016... the newest spots, Redtree and Coffia are both worth checking out.2016: 5/5 stars. It's the best coffee shop in OTR and in Cincinnati. The espresso drinks are nice, pour overs are great, and they do some weird stuff like espresso lemonade ("spronade"). The baristas are very friendly and the owners are down to earth and around most days. Very good neighborhood spot.“
