“Food was good and well cooked but not worth the cost in my opinion. I e been coming here for years and portion sizes are much smaller but prices have increased. For a place on the water they don't offer much aside from fried fish or shrimp. I used to love getting the peel and eat shrimp but now they put a seasoning on it that takes away from the shrimp and there is no way to order without it.“
“Chill Gene from the Kentucky State Capitol at Frankfort recommended this place to me - he specifically recommended the fish sandwich. I am very well traveled and this is the best fish sandwich I have had. Nice local place with classic Southern hospitality. I love Kentucky!!!!“
“We were on vacation and starving so we pulled up restaurants nearby and this was a spur of the moment choice. Needless to say it did not disappoint. We very lucky and got a table in the bar area as they were booked with reservations. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was so good. The shrimp were ice cold and the cocktail sauce was perfect. We opted to share the New York Strip which was topped with fried onions, and our sides of scratch made collards and mashed potatoes. They plated our steaks and sides on two different plates before bringing our food to the table. This was by far some of the best food we had on this trip. We finished up with MOLTEN CHOCOLATE BOMBE which is a Chocolate cake with a warm liquid chocolate center, with vanilla ice cream and we opted to have it "loaded" with peanut butter, bacon, and whipped cream. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The ambiance was very nice. As I said, we sat in the bar area but it was still very quiet and it's a quaint little restaurant. The server was stellar. If you're ever in Prospect Kentucky, do not miss this spot.“
“Nice little tavern in a beautiful area.. the patrons seem really nice and drinks are pretty reasonable. I haven't had the food yet but I hear great things about the fish sandwich is great so I'll try that soon. The bartenders were sweet gals and they run Keno tickets at the bar which is a HUGE PLUS. The tavern is a little too small for large sporting events so you need to arrive as early as possible ??“
“Amazing... Over the weekend we had the honor of giving my Grandmother a surprise Easter brunch. Absolutely everything was amazing. Laura, who helped plan, was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Steven, the host of our brunch, was simply Amazing. He was very attentive, easy going, friendly, kept food warm, area clean, very social and just overall a blessing. I definitely recommend using this venue. ASK FOR STEVEN!“
“Lovely people excellent food We picked up a to go order of the bread pudding for ourselves and a guest. They made sure the order was perfect. The ice cream was on ice. The dessert was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much For your service, we will definitely be “
“Out of towners trying this breakfast/brunch restaurant out for the first time! outside atmosphere was adorable and gives a feel of "home". Patio seating and seats outside under a tent, where the outside bar is! The wait time was about 45 mins for a table, but that was perfectly okay because of the outside bar and porch to wait! cornhole, table jenga, and connect 4 games were also outside, so there are things to do while you wait. the food is spectacular. Try their homemade jams and hot sauce! You won't be disappointed! Service was excellent. We sat at the bar, bartender was great (Jasmine), and the wait time for our food was under 10 mins. I ordered the BIG BAD BISCUIT - Make sure you have room in your belly because the portions are extremely generous! I could only eat half of the biscuit! Very clean, "homey", and just an overall wonderful experience. Great Job!“
“The restaurant from the outside is simple, but when you enter and order fish, it is really wonderful. I am from the Arabian Gulf. My country is Bahrain in the middle of the sea. We have a lot of fish. I know good fish and a good cook and taste. But here the restaurant is really wonderful. I have not tried any fish restaurant in Louisville because the fish that is not good makes me Sick and this is my second visit in a week. I will be a customer and it is close to our home. I liked this restaurant and all the staff are friendly“
“Jack Fry's is a community icon and standard for the best food and service in the area. I have not tried a dish that wasn't above excellence! The historic feel of the restaurant coupled with the food makes for an unforgettable experience!“
“My husband and I went here for the first time last night for his birthday. This place truly impressed both of us. The restaurant was cozy and had live jazz style music. The service was lovely and all of the food was outstanding! We will definitely be back.“
“This was our first stop when we arrived late to Louisville. While their kitchen was closed we had the best time tasting bourbons with the guidance of their young bartender. He educated us on bourbon and made excellent recommendations! We had so much fun. Also recommended a late night fourth meal location that we walked too later. This bar has an extensive bourbon collection, great service, while we cannot comment on the food I am sure it's nothing short of amazing! Thanks for a wonderful experience.“
“First time experience. Food was tasty but felt a bit pricey. Service was very slow. Soda was not correct syrup consistency but when asked the charge was removed. Not sure why there was a merchant fee. ?? They ran out of silverware.Vegetarian options: One of us had a taco that had a black bean burger in it. Excellent taste.“
“The bartenders were fantastic. Every time I come in, I have an excellent time and good conversation with both customers and staff members.Kid-friendliness: You can take your kid as long as you get over the uniforms. Place ain’t really for kids like that. But, still fun.“
“It doesn’t get better than osheas! You should visit this fine establishment any day that ends with “Y”. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, milkshakes, or drinks this is the place to go. Exceptional service from the whole staff all the time, every time! Kevin, Ryan, Lance and all the other personable staff there make every visit special. The foods delicious and the menu options are great!“
“I have eaten here several times now & really enjoy the experience. I especially appreciate their diverse menue selections. The food is well seasoned & I have yet to eat anything I did not like.Wheelchair accessibility: I am totally dependant on a walker. From handicap parking to inside dining, totally handicap accessible which is so important to myself & so many others. Thanks!“
“So let me start by saying, their house salad is the best ever! There's so much in it!! I got the fish sandwich for my meal, it was good, but I couldve ate the cheese fries and salad and been full. Wish they would build one in Louisville ❤️“
“Wow! This was by far one of the best spots I tried in Louisville. Both times I went, the pork belly tacos were simply heaven. From a unique selection of French fry flavors, to delicious Mac n cheese ball appetizers, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The service was very pleasant and friendly, definitely worth your time.“
“In Season is the perfect place for a delicious, fast, and healthy lunch! The food is impeccably seasoned and well curated to make use of local “in-season” foods. Everything is fresh and delicious!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, and easy ability to sub-out animal proteins for many other choices.“
“Harry's has a view of the Ohio River, depending on where you are seating. The service was excellent. We ended up ordering bar snacks only but my onion rings were what you would expect. It was a quiet Sunday night in February but I suspect this place gets crazy busy in the summer!“
“I am obsessed with this deli. I’ve been slowly working my way through the menu, trying everything, and yesterday I hit number seven, the rare roast beef. It officially became my favorite, and I might have a hard time moving on to try other things. Everything they do is delicious, thoughtful, and I love the way the space feels when I’m there.“
“We had dinner at the taphouse Saturday night. Their food is delicious! We had the giant pretzel, blue cheese burger and the crack salad. I wanted to lick my plate. I had the Quaff on Hoosier Red beer on tap and my husband had the Nepo Baby and Foggy Geezer, both IPA's. We both loved them! But, what really made our night was Missy. She was so ever attentive and was very friendly. We loved chatting with her. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. 5 Stars definitely!“
“We had a girls night out at Square Cut and it was fantastic! We had the “chefs table” menu so we could try several different things and every single bite was amazing. My favorites were the pumpkin dip and mussels. I’m looking forward to my next visit!“
“Nice place for a family meal or place to grab a bite to eat. We enjoyed a dinner following the Underground Ziplines in the nearby Mega Cavern. My wife enjoyed a Scrumptious Pulled Pork Platter that satisfied, while i indulged in the Brisket Grilled Cheese...which was equally amazing. We arrived early and the place filled up quickly, is nice to see. I did enjoy their various house BBQ Sauces, and a couple hits of their Mop Sauce to my Bloody Mary was Beautiful! The wife purchased a Sweet Tangy Mustard Sauce before leaving.“
“Got three burgers to split and share amongst the group. All were very good. The bacon cheeseburger was really good. Mushroom and Swiss was super juicy and made to perfection. the best one was the one with prime rib, adding the au ju elevated the burger even more than it already was. The Cajun fries were more on the salty side, so I would probably just go regular next time. Lucky milkshake made with vanilla instead of mint chocolate chip- super thin kinda milky without the vanilla ice cream texture but the chocolate whip cream was where it's at. Definitely would recommend if you are in the mood for a juicy burger.“
“It's been about 8 years since I have been here, and they still do not disappoint. The brunch on Sunday was always a favorite, and hopefully, I get to have it again while still in town. Their drinks are amazing as well. The walking bridge is close, so it's a great place to grab a bite and enjoy some fresh air.“
“Love this place! Each burger is very unique and seasoned to fit the style of where the meat came from. I have been here several times and have had the wagu, elk, and recently the yak burger. They were all so different and so good! Highly recommend if you want to try something new and different“
“We shared a breakfast with friends and family before going out to the Easter parade on Frankfort Avenue. The food was great, but the service was even better. Conner was incredible. Super responsive and attentive to anything we needed. If we ever go back, it will be to this location, and it will be because of Conner.“
“Our brunch experience was pure perfection from start to finish, thanks to the extremely friendly staff (you know who you are, Tone ?) setting up additional outdoor tables on the patio for us without us even having to ask. The sun was out – and they knew where ours heads were at. ?All of the brunch dishes I’ve ordered here have been divine. The staff is always friendly, goes above and beyond, and doesn’t make their guests feel uncomfortable asking for meal substitutions/alterations from the listed menu items. Everything is very chill – the way brunch should be!Thanks for another great experience in the Highlands sunshine, HM! ☀️??Dietary restrictions: Staff doesn’t mind menu customizations upon request“
“Added this rooftop dinner to my favorites list! Beautiful view, kind and fun staff, amazingly delicious dinner, and best cocktails we have ever had! Appreciate the sweet tour guide in the gift shop and our waiter, Whitney, for his recommendations and service.“
“In the area visiting family and we’re trying local restaurants. There were many options to choose . Food was served quickly . It was hot and cooked the way it was ordered. Quality food at reasonable prices. A good solid breakfast. Service was also on point. A win for this traveler!“
“Loved the atmosphere here, my family decided to come here and treat us as a wedding gift. They were under the impression they had a wider variety if seafood which seem to be majority cold seafood depending on the hour. Drinks were great, and a little pricy but paying for the ambience as well.“
“Burger and Fries joint. Higher quality than fast your everyday fast food gurus. Burgers come with double patties. Fries are very good. Burgers are good but lack a little flavor. Maybe need more seasoning or sauce…idk. Was full, so didn’t get to try the shakes! But they look marvelous. Next time…“
“Arrived at 5 p.m and my friend and I were promptly greeted & seated. We had our drink orders taken and were given the menus to look over. It took us a bit of time to browse through so many delicious options & decide! She ordered the crab cake with grilled vegetables and a Caesar salad. I went with the small wedge salad and a build your own pizza with 1/2 mushrooms and bacon. So good! Our waitress kept our water filled and checked in but didn't impede our catching up and conversation flow which was nice! We both said we need to eat here more often! Wide variety of options to pick from. The dessert menu looked so good but we didn't give in to temptation... this time.“
“Luis was our server. Delicious was our food. Memorable was our experience. I drank the best bourbon old fashion I've ever had. Thank you, bartender Kris. From the friendly host stand to the clean bathrooms, you'll love this restaurant.“
“Love the ability to order various different sliders and create your own meal. The smoked ketchup was amazing. We tried one of almost everything and our favorites were the corned beef, pork belly and the cheeseburger. Another huge plus is that they have tots! 10/10 would recommend.“
“We came to Ricky B's from out of town, not knowing quite what to expect. Lo and behold, Ricky himself enthusiastically greeted us and his staff treated us incredibly well. The food was delicious and the atmosphere deserves more than five stars.“
“I make a stop at Royals every time I travel through Louisville! The food was delicious as always, got tenders with spicy wedges and mac n cheese. Replaced my usual bourbon shake with the pink lemonade wimce I had a 6 hour drive ahead of me and it was so refreshing.“

“The food here was absolutely AMAZING! I ordered the Farmhouse Skillet and we shared the Banana's Foster French Toast. Everything, down to the buttered toast with strawberry preserves, far exceeded any expectations that I had. Our server (Hallie) was so helpful and attentive without being overly present. She was pretty much the textbook definition of superior service. Her personality was great and she exuded good vibes! The experience overall was phenomenal and I can't wait to return and introduce more people to the restaurant!“
“we recently ate at Steak and Bourbon for my 66th birthday. lovely atmosphere. good service. however, my husband ordered a $50 steak (NY Strip) which was less than stellar. he ate it until the last 4c bites were un-chewable due to the gristle. he mentioned it to the server as she cleared our dishes. she meekly apologized and left us our bill with a 20% tip. no manager to address the issue and no discount on an expensive cut of meat. we ate generous in our tipping, but we were slightly offended that 20%was decided for us. the gristle and the 20% both left a bad taste in our mouth. we won't be visiting again.“
“Enjoyed breakfast at Foko’s new location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the Wake Up Burrito, Dirty Horchata, and tres leches pancakes! All were delicious! A friend who was with me already made plans to return and bring her family! Love this place!“
“Great dinner for 5 at classic Louisville Bardstown road location. I think reasonably priced too our tab included bar drinks and a nice bottle of red wine. I enjoyed very nicely cooked grilled salmon, wasabi potent to my liking ( if you have a wasabi limit, mention that to your server so they can dial it back for you ) something for everyone as chicken livers salad, burger, chicken piccata also enjoyed at our table. Sever Marty could not be more helpful knowledgeable entertaining. Well done Uptown! Hope to be back again soon“
“First time here and I’m local, placed a take out order of the fried chicken and had a peerless manhattan at bar while I waited…extra cherries. Service was attentive and cordial. Ended up diving head first into the meal in my car while I remained parked…it was that good, haha. Will be back soon…“
“Great bar. Hadn't been in years. Stopped in for karaoke on a whim. Loved the laid back attitude of the singers and other patrons. Burger and fries was top notch. Staff was friendly and we didn't feel like outsiders at all. Will be back for sure.“
“We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It is, by far, one of the (new) secret treasures in Butchertown. We adore the owner and staff, as we knew most of them from the previous establishment, Decca, and some from other favorite spots in Louisville. The entire menu is thoughtful and creative. The gluten free options are plentiful, as I have CD. Since their menu changes, some of the things I highly recommend this February are:Cocktails:Death Becomes HerLook AliveSalad:Buttermilk greens with garlic struselSmall plates:Marbled potatoesMarinated olivesEntrees:The mackerel (tonight's special)ANY steak on the menu (when it's offered)The chicken with Dijon jus (so good)!Honestly, the entire place has been perfectly curated. It's hands down one of the finest places in Louisville all-around.“
“This place was great very chill and lowkey.... webt on a Sunday at 10pm it wasn't busy.... had a chance to play all the pinball machine games (hella fun)... I didn't eat here so I don't know how the food taste... had a overall good time...“
“We celebrated our anniversary there tonight and received excellent service, and the food was beyond wonderful. Kevin, our waiter was great! We also loved to see that they employee individuals with special needs as we have a son with Down Syndrome. Definitely will be back soon.“
“Food was amazing. Service not so much. These ladies are on super slow time but the food is great. Plan to spend an hour minimum. If you have the right staff your business will thrive. If you have people that literally do not care, it won't. I'd go back just for the owner and the food but not the serving staff. One was good, the other was very put out and refused to go faster then snail speed. She turned so many people away in front of us saying it would be over an hour for their food but truly it was just her. Go for the food, not the service❤️“
“One of my family's favorite spots. Great service and atmosphere. I've never had less than fantastic food. They're oddly out of one thing or another pretty often though so if you have a favorite, you should call first so you aren't disappointed.“
“First time here after hearing good things, satay the bar, and couldn’t have had a better experience all thanks to our bartender, Karla! Super attentive and professional but with a personal touch. Her energy kept us a little longer than we planned so we’re looking forward to coming back next time she’s working!!“
