“Food was good and well cooked but not worth the cost in my opinion. I e been coming here for years and portion sizes are much smaller but prices have increased. For a place on the water they don't offer much aside from fried fish or shrimp. I used to love getting the peel and eat shrimp but now they put a seasoning on it that takes away from the shrimp and there is no way to order without it.“

“We were on vacation and starving so we pulled up restaurants nearby and this was a spur of the moment choice. Needless to say it did not disappoint. We very lucky and got a table in the bar area as they were booked with reservations. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was so good. The shrimp were ice cold and the cocktail sauce was perfect. We opted to share the New York Strip which was topped with fried onions, and our sides of scratch made collards and mashed potatoes. They plated our steaks and sides on two different plates before bringing our food to the table. This was by far some of the best food we had on this trip. We finished up with MOLTEN CHOCOLATE BOMBE which is a ‍Chocolate cake with a warm liquid chocolate center, with vanilla ice cream and we opted to have it "loaded" with peanut butter, bacon, and whipped cream. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The ambiance was very nice. As I said, we sat in the bar area but it was still very quiet and it's a quaint little restaurant. The server was stellar. If you're ever in Prospect Kentucky, do not miss this spot.“

“Out of towners trying this breakfast/brunch restaurant out for the first time! outside atmosphere was adorable and gives a feel of "home". Patio seating and seats outside under a tent, where the outside bar is! The wait time was about 45 mins for a table, but that was perfectly okay because of the outside bar and porch to wait! cornhole, table jenga, and connect 4 games were also outside, so there are things to do while you wait. the food is spectacular. Try their homemade jams and hot sauce! You won't be disappointed! Service was excellent. We sat at the bar, bartender was great (Jasmine), and the wait time for our food was under 10 mins. I ordered the BIG BAD BISCUIT - Make sure you have room in your belly because the portions are extremely generous! I could only eat half of the biscuit! Very clean, "homey", and just an overall wonderful experience. Great Job!“

“This was our first stop when we arrived late to Louisville. While their kitchen was closed we had the best time tasting bourbons with the guidance of their young bartender. He educated us on bourbon and made excellent recommendations! We had so much fun. Also recommended a late night fourth meal location that we walked too later. This bar has an extensive bourbon collection, great service, while we cannot comment on the food I am sure it's nothing short of amazing! Thanks for a wonderful experience.“

“First time experience. Food was tasty but felt a bit pricey. Service was very slow. Soda was not correct syrup consistency but when asked the charge was removed. Not sure why there was a merchant fee. ?? They ran out of silverware.Vegetarian options: One of us had a taco that had a black bean burger in it. Excellent taste.“

“Wow! This was by far one of the best spots I tried in Louisville. Both times I went, the pork belly tacos were simply heaven. Mushroom and Swiss was super juicy and made to perfection. the best one was the one with prime rib, adding the au ju elevated the burger even more than it already was. The Cajun fries were more on the salty side, so I would probably just go regular next time. Lucky milkshake made with vanilla instead of mint chocolate chip- super thin kinda milky without the vanilla ice cream texture but the chocolate whip cream was where it's at. Definitely would recommend if you are in the mood for a juicy burger.“

“We had the absolute best tour at Copper and Kings. We visited half a dozen distilleries and took tours and this was by far our favorite. We did the culinary tour and our tasting at the end of the tour was paired with amazing bites prepared by Chef Josh. Everything was delicious and the portions were larger than we expected for small bites. The quality of the food was excellent. It was one of the best meals we had in Louisville - tied with Proof on Main and the Cuban restaurant. Our tour guide Daniel was super knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly personable. We loved Maple the dog too. This is a must do when visiting Louisville because the Brandy distillery offers something a little different than your usual Bourbon tour, the food is impeccable, and the people are super friendly.“

“Love the ability to order various different sliders and create your own meal. The smoked ketchup was amazing. We tried one of almost everything and our favorites were the corned beef, pork belly and the cheeseburger. Another huge plus is that they have tots! 10/10 would recommend.“

“Arrived at 5 p.m and my friend and I were promptly greeted & seated. We had our drink orders taken and were given the menus to look over. It took us a bit of time to browse through so many delicious options & decide! She ordered the crab cake with grilled vegetables and a Caesar salad. I went with the small wedge salad and a build your own pizza with 1/2 mushrooms and bacon. So good! Our waitress kept our water filled and checked in but didn't impede our catching up and conversation flow which was nice! We both said we need to eat here more often! Wide variety of options to pick from. The dessert menu looked so good but we didn't give in to temptation... this time.“

“Great dinner for 5 at classic Louisville Bardstown road location. I think reasonably priced too our tab included bar drinks and a nice bottle of red wine. I enjoyed very nicely cooked grilled salmon, wasabi potent to my liking ( if you have a wasabi limit, mention that to your server so they can dial it back for you ) something for everyone as chicken livers salad, burger, chicken piccata also enjoyed at our table. “We had a party of four for lunch today, including three adults, and one child. The restaurant was very accommodating for the five year old, making sure he got what he wanted! The three adults were very happy with our food too. Everything was absolutely delicious, and cooked perfectly! From the appetizers to the burgers to dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. Our server Kyle was very friendly and efficient. He gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted and made sure we had everything we needed. He kept our drinks filled as well! One of the managers, Jay, stopped by our table to see how everything was going, and we appreciated that! “Food was amazing. Service not so much. These ladies are on super slow time but the food is great. Plan to spend an hour minimum. If you have the right staff your business will thrive. If you have people that literally do not care, it won't. I'd go back just for the owner and the food but not the serving staff. One was good, the other was very put out and refused to go faster then snail speed. She turned so many people away in front of us saying it would be over an hour for their food but truly it was just her. Go for the food, not the service❤️“

“We’ve visited Barn 8 a couple times now. Overall, it’s a cool experience and a unique atmosphere. It’s nice to get out of the city and try something new. There’s a nice variety of dishes and everything was really flavorful. The desserts were amazing! Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because everyone in my party chose different dishes and the portion sizes vary from dish to dish even though they were all from the bottom-half of the menu which are supposedly the entrees. Maybe that’s on us for not checking with the waiter first on portion sizes. Other than that, everything was great and our waiter was very kind. Great experience for special occasions, but not somewhere I would visit too often.“

“We used The Copper Room at Orange Clover for a baby shower for a first time momma to be. I just cannot find the words for how wonderful the experience was. First off, the staff, absolutely phenomenal. Every single person I talked to (I’m sorry I don’t remember names, my memory is lacking currently) was so sweet and helpful. I appreciate every single one of you. Second, the food was perfect and delicious. Third, the room itself was everything I hoped it would be and more. “Best spot in Highlands to grab a pint and a bite, trust me when I say this is authentic Bardstown Rd Louisville, for better for worse (mostly better!). The staff and clientele are regulars and even come visit, from past to present; this is a friendly, family place, and the tastes and menu are diverse and welcoming. From Czech beer to Asian foods to Americas finest IPAs they have it, along with Sushi rolls and bar bites, from plain to fancy, they have it. Board games and card games, they have that too. Come in and say hi today, I’ll be set outside on the patio/sidewalk with a pint and some delicious food.“

“The tacos have my whole heart!!! No seriously, after trying their Thanksgiving taco I have been raving about it to my husband. It got to the point where he told me to either stop talking about it or take him to get one. So we went and got one. Another taco of theirs I really like is the chipotle chicken one. I am a little ashamed to admit, but I've been here many times recently and I've gotten the Thanksgiving taco three of those times , there is just some thing about the zest in their cranberry sauce that really pulls it together. All that to say- I'm excited to come back and try even more of the taco combinations! This is a great place to stop in NuLu for a drink and snack, or you can make a meal out of the menu items. Around the holidays the bar turns into "miracle on market" and becomes a Christmas lovers dream. They usually post who is DJ'ing on their socials. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, food and drinks come out relatively quick even when the place is packed! Overall: check them out even if it's not the holidays, the fun tacos will hook your attention!“

“Red Hot Chicken!? Red Hot Chicken would be better described as a mediocre, beer, pub buffalo chicken wings. Today the chicken was chewy and overcooked. Buffalo sauce would've been more mirrored to a place where they wear Tight shorts and tight shirts. Overall fabulous experience. Wonderful menu, great staff and the crabcakes are to fight for. Biggest suggestion I could make would be that the restaurant provide a lunch menu so as not to confuse the guest with items that were not able to be purchased until after 5 PM. When I return, it will definitely be after 5 PM and I'm looking forward to trying the lamb and the spaghetti.“

“hate to leave a bad review but was disappointed in the food. the filet was just ok...not very tender...no sides came with it and for 59 thats ridiculous. The calamari was really good but could have came with a dipping sauce..we had to ask for one. The mushrooms were overcooked and too salty. The salads weren't big at all. The lump crab came in a tiny metal ramekin and it was salty as well and wasn't lump at all..it was shredded. Presentation on a lump crab shouldn't be served this way in such a fancy restaurant. on a positive note...the manager was very professional and they took care of the whole bill plus gave us dessert. I just want to leave this as constructive criticism for them so hopefully they improve the quality and quantity of their food for people paying high dollar. Maybe the chef was overwhelmed or having a bad night not sure. The environment was nice...gorgeous view. Just think there's a lot of changes that should be made to get a higher rating.“

“Great spot along the Ohio River. Food was delicious. We had a Beer Cheese Burger, Classic Burger, Turkey & Guac sandwich, Brewery Fries, and Broad Ripple Chips. Unfortunately, the chips were mostly a pile of crumbs. They could have a bigger craft beer selection, and fewer IPAs. Also, the table we were sat at had the sun pouring through the glass. We kept having to slide our table back to get some relief. All in all, I'm sure we'll be back.“

Everything was thoughtfully done. Now let's get into the food. I had the biscuits and gravy and oh my. The biscuits were huge and fluffy and the gravy was nice and peppery. “The food here and service is above all amazing. They are very creative with various events through out the week. From life music, Trivia, Music Bingo, Djs, charity fundraisers and event hosting there is always something going on here. Their menu is a great variety leaving a tough decision of picking a favorite. For me I would have to say the Philly cheesesteak with tots! All of the bartenders and wait staff are super friendly and make you feel like family. Even the GM Chris will come around chat with you! “A friend and I played this course for the first time. First Impression was this course was beautiful. Very nice layed out. It wasn't a very difficult course pretty much wide open and the greens were the fastest I have ever played. If you play the white tee's you will only hit over water once. The only thing I could say bad about this course was that some of the tee boxes were in really bad shape however that didn't really hurt your game. Over all we really enjoyed the course and will be coming back.“

The atmosphere inside and outside stand out as a must visit place for any occasion.Our server was attentive and patient as we were waiting on a few other guest to arrive for a class reunion meeting. “The Chicken Milanese was amazing. Crispy gluten free breading and a choice main entree. Excellence extended to the Haloumi salad, and the ahi. Fresh, bright, and flavorful ingredients that are unfussy and not overdressed or seasoned. Only negatives were (1) the music was loud and unnecessarily profane, it marred what was an otherwise fantastic atmosphere and (2) the olive oil cake needed more air and more almond flour. But overall an excellent and very memorable meal, with an owner that cares and loves providing great hospitality.“
