Used to go to Gerald's all the time when I lived in St Bernard parish. I was just passing through after visiting my brother and just had to stop by to get a few donuts and get my fix for the Krystal burgers they make. I now live in a town that has tons of donut shops but not one of them makes the Crystal burgers.... and boy do I miss them.I was a bit disappointed to find that this Gerald's was a little worn for wear. Went there at 1am and got some fresh hot Donuts. I didn't even want donuts at first but it smelled so good inside the restaurant. The servers were cool also especially for us to be coming in so late.

Gwen was my server and she was excellent. She even made me tartar sauce for my shrimp. My food was very salty, but it was hot and fresh. There could have been some ambiance with music rather than vanilla with none. I would recommend just for the service. Well done.
