“My nephew enjoyed his birthday party. He has been battling cancer, so for him to be able to come out in public and enjoy his day is the most amazing part. “Me and my family have been eating at Newks since in opened. Every visit has always been exceptional. The food is always great. And they are always so kind to those who have served. Now my dad had served in the military for 30 years. We have always asked for military discount and have never had problems. This past visit, we showed the girl behind the counter our cards, then the manager came and asked us, “are you military?” She then proceeded to make my mom pull her card out again so she could see for herself. She then asked, “are you actually the one serving?”… I’m sorry but, whether you are actively serving or a spouse of someone serving in the military, you are still serving. A spouse or child of an active military member make just as many sacrifices, for they have to pack up their lives and move around. So yeah, we were really taken aback by how rude she was. Active duty is the entire family.“
“We always get great pizza and everyone there is so friendly. But tonight they were so so busy and working nonstop to get orders out while still being friendly. And our pizza was still great. Really impressed with everyone and I hope the owner treats them all to something special after tonight. ❤️“
“I called to place a pick up order, just a small mighty meaty with a side of nacho cheese sauce, I let them know that I needed curbside service because I had a sleeping toddler in the car and I was told that was fine. That was awesome because I usually go to the Airline drive location because they have a window, but their wait time was an hour and this location said 20 minutes, also awesome. I called once I arrived and let them know that I was outside and I wanted to add a 2liter Diet Coke and a cup of ice to my order, also not a problem! The customer service was great, because it was a different employee each time I called and both were professional and had no problem accommodating me. I didn’t wait long and Maria brought my order out, that made my night because Maria and I have worked together before at a different restaurant and she’s such an amazingly sweet person and didn’t know that she had changed to this Johnny's location! That means I’m switching to this location too!I had a long day and needed my comfort food. I get all way home (North Shreveport), unload my sleeping grandson, then unload everything from the car, I get the baby tucked in, throw on my pajamas, fix myself a big glass of Diet Coke, then I get comfortable and I open my Johnny’s Pizza box only to find that they forgot my nacho cheese sauce! I really love that sauce, I almost cried! I could have called and complained, I could have left less than 5 stars, I could have left a bad review and blamed the employees, OR I could have been more responsible and checked my box before I left Johnny’s!I’m not MAD, I’m full. I have sat here and ate all but two pieces of this pizza (without nacho cheese sauce) and I didn’t even reheat it because it was cold by the time I got home! Still the best pizza!“
“I’m from Dallas but originally from Shreveport and grew up eating Johnny’s Pizza and to this day I haven’t found another pizza house anywhere that is as good as Johnny’s and I always stop in on my way to Baton Rouge and I’ll say it always has been and always will be the best“
“This place is so special and Charlie is the best server I've had to this day, on my 31 years on this earth. Incredibly personable, made us laugh, and very informative, he had great selections for our different tastes in alcohol and food. I want to thank everyone for making this birthday special and I will definitely be coming back whenever I visit my friends in Texas because it was worth the drive.“
