“My family and I visited relatives in Luling, LA, and found this little gem! Black owned, professional service with great food! Owner Jae is amazing! Customer service is top notch and it’s so appreciated! We wanted a home cooked meal as we were so tired of the regular restaurant food from on the road traveling! Everything was really good! We had baked chicken, baked fish, smothered pork chops, delicious green beans, potato salad, Mac n cheese, and only God knows what else!😍”

“I did a mobile order on a Saturday and it was really good! Ready when I got there and the restaurant was very clean when we went in to get it. Loaded with toppings, very fresh and lots of options. It was like $14 and this was big enough to save the rest for lunch the next day”

“When I was a kid/teen in the 60's and 70s, this was a bait shop/bar with gas pumps out front. Dad and I would stop every time we went hunting or fishing down toward Lake Bouef. Great memories.”

It's a like if they're are talking with no feeling what are they doing, making angry lifeless pizza ?Then the order was OK. I just wish I wasn't a major Papa John's fan. This is a new area for me.. “This location was very professional. The manager was very professional, and the speed of making sure that the drive thru orders was delivered to the customer in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to have gone to the Boutte/ Luling in St. Charles Parish. The employee at the drive thru did her part by assisting her crew with getting the backup orders correctly by remembering what order went with which car. Thanks to that location, everyone was on one accord. Smooches”

“Our family of 14 stopped in for a late breakfast and as soon as we entered the establishment, we were greeted by Shelly. It was hot when we walked in & I mentioned it, and Shelley assured me that it would cool off soon because she had just readjusted everything. She then engaged conversation with my daughter(4) & asked her if she wanted her to make a special pancake. We were unaware that she would serve us as we had been told once we were seated that we would have a different server. Shelly’s personality & customer service was IMPECCABLE!!! My daughter got her pancake(AMAZING) & by the time we were paying, we felt as though she was a family friend. She was warm, compassionate, & dedicated. We not once had to ask for a refill & the food was delicious. We are visiting from Texas & Shelly even gave us some hotspots to hit while we vacation. Shelly deserves a raise!!! lol”

“We were over the top with the entire meal. We started with the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian house salad and my fiance had the meatball poboy. Everything was amazing and so delicious and the service was excellent. I have looked for an Italian restuarant to please my palate and have been disappointed but NO MORE, Gendusa's has met my expectations above and beyond!”

“We had Saturday afternoon lunch and it was great! Our server Rhett was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with us, as first time guests. The Mahi-mahi was fabulous, the catfish was the best we’ve ever had and the onion sticks are superb. To top it off, we tried the Peanut Butter pie and were quite impressed! This restaurant is worth the trip to Des Allemands, LA!”

“Absolutely incredible! The staff made us feel like we were family and that we were the most important people in the world. I'm not kidding about that last statement... they were awesome! The Chef, Joe Boudreaux, was extremely personable and truly enjoyed talking about his passion, cooking. The food was fantastic... boudin egg rolls, the spicy fried oyster appetizer, the Montecristo, and the pork belly wedge were all so delicious. My advice is to take a little road trip to St. Rose and eat some of the best food and meet some incredible folks.”

“Stopped here while passing through on vacation. Amanda was amazing. She answered all our questions about the area. We choose this restaurant because the small poor-boys were a perfect size for our kids for lunch. We were really impressed with quality of the food. They had so many poor-boy options, the girls all found one they liked, and the roast beef was phenomenal. The the seafood platter was perfect, and the crawfish balls were one of the best crawfish items I ever ate. We'll be back when we get back to the area. Give them a try. Amazing!”

“Food was average to good. Considering it's a chain restaurant, my expectation is never high. The service was great. However, the ladies room for dinner service was atrocious. Trash on the floor and water everywhere. The restroom didn't get checked at all that day. Good thing I went on my way out. It was extremely displeasing and made me wonder what the kitchen may look like. I won't be back anytime soon, but my granddaughter likes their Chicken Alfredo, and that's the only reason I dine there.”
