“This place is AMAZING. Everytime I'm riding through Port Allen of course I have to stop and I always spend wayy too much money. They have lots of choices of meals or individual items. And if you like them they have a freezer section with most of the items to buy and bring home! They have amazing pepper jellys and jars of pickles, okra and asparagus that are out of this world. If you haven't enjoyed a meal here before. I absolutely recommend!!“

“How sad - DO NOT order delivery from this location. I am visiting and love door-dash for moments like this. My order WAS NOT complete - the $8 cheesecake was NOT included, nor were there napkins or plastic ware or paper plate - so I had to resort to eating out of the bag. After waiting 45 minutes for the manager to call back to merely resolve the order, I had no resolution. Now - the restaurant will not answer my phone number. Food was fine - yet part of the 'atmosphere' of enjoying the popular shrimp boil is having everything you paid for, and utensils to enjoy it!“

“This place is such a cute place, its family run business. They are so friendly and welcoming, there’s a reason why their customers keep coming back. There crawfish was on fire, coming from Texas, Louisiana crawfish is much more spicier. I usually can’t handle spice much but I kept on eating more and more. And to be honest I think it cleared up part of my cold I was fighting too. But over all it was great, will have to stop by again when I’m going through Baton Rouge.“

Sometimes they are big pieces, sometimes I swear I'm eating a baby chicken. If this place stays with the larger sized wings it'll be my go to! (Of course I mean bone-in!! “I’m fairly new to University Seafood and I absolutely love the crawfish. They are always hot and just enough spice. The flavor is amazing, please don’t ever change your recipe. It’s my “go-to” now. Used to be Tony’s Seafood, but now it’s University Seafood! They are consistent. Been there 4 times now. And every time they are absolutely delicious. Thank you!“

“The crawfish were huge. I got take out and found the specials on facebook (it was $8/lb and now it's around $5/lb). They were slightly overcooked and the meat stuck onto the shells a little. I got it with the garlic butter sauce on top and man was it salty. The corn was good and the potatoes were slightly softer than my liking. Everything was drenched in the sauce so it was very salty. Service took about 10 minutes and the ambiance was relaxed and looked like the inside of a shack. I would try it again but without the garlic butter on top.“

“Trying to find live crawfish Sunday morning was harder than I thought. I reached out to farmers meat market the morning of and they were more than happy to help. When I arrived I was able to get a 35lbs bag of the largest and most fresh crawfish I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend them for live crawfish.“

“I recommend Phil's Oyster Bar & Seaford Restaurant for their atmosphere, service, and food. We made reservations and didn't have to wait to be seated. Our waitress was wonderful and paid attention to details, as in special requests due to allergies. The charbroiled oysters were the best. Phil's is definitely the place to go for seafood.“

“My Wife and I eat here often even though it is a 25 mile drive but worth the drive. We always have Mary as our server and she takes excellent care of us. In fact she just ask me "the usual" for a cocktail and she knows to bring my Martini fixed just like I like. The steaks are great. I do not know of any other restaurant in Baton Rouge that has better steaks. If you start your meal with some of their wonderful tamales you will not regret it. We always enjoy the food, drinks and service at Doe's.“

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!“

I had sweet heat and lemon pepper wings, a catfish & shrimp basket with a side of sweet heat/honey garlic rub fries and everything was absolutely amazing. “Food is good and hot. My only issue is the fish. The black fatty part need to be taken off. It leaves an after taste and throws the flavor off of the fish. Also that stuff keeps the skin from sticking to the fish. It flakes off and keeps the fish from being enjoyable. The shrimp is good tho. Just currently I would not recommend the fish from here.“

The twice baked potatoes is a great meal. The honey jalapeño. wings are great. Seafood is great. I often use the catering services as well.“
