“The only place I know of for Poke. If you have not tried it, give it a shot. It's kind of like sushi ingredients in a bowl with either rice or greens. You pick all the ingredients you like and they serve it up on the spot. You can get 2-scoops or 3-scoops of the protein. I usually get the 2-scoop shrimp and spicy tuna over brown rice with all kinds of toppings. It's a good option for a fast and healthy lunch. (And there are not many of those around.) They also have some reasonable outdoor seating for when weather permits.Vegetarian options: You can get tofu as the protein over rice or greens. Most, if not all, of the toppings are vegetarian.“

“I've never had oxtail pho and after searching on Uber eats I found this. I ordered that it comes with oxtail/brisket and combination vermicelli chicken pork and shrimp. With the Pho you get one oxtail but it's very meaty and you get a lot of brisket it's very filling and delicious. Would definitely order again.“

“We made a return after an OK recent visit and it was just fantastic. The decor and general vibe have always been top-natch; the art on the walls, the front bar, the step-up to the other room, all of it adds up to one of my favorite spaces in New Orleans. The service has been routinely friendly, timely, helpful. Our server helped me decide between the pompano and the redfish (the evening's special); I chose the latter, my wife chose the pompano and were both thrilled at the simplicity and the rest of the plate. My son loved his chicken and andouille gumbo and I loved my crabmeat and corn bisque. My only quibble was the buttery noodles for him were a bit overly buttered and the honey glazed Brussels sprouts were a bit too rich (though a common occurrence with roasted Brussels sprouts these days). The desserts were exquisite -- the Mexican-inspired ice cream sundae was a crazy mix of subtle and complex flavors, and my friend was dazzled by the bold blue cheese flan. (Somehow, it worked. Trust me.) Oh and the Sazerac was perfectly prepared, and that doesn't always happen even in the best of places.“

The staff were super sweet & helpful (which can be a hit or miss in N.O.). The restaurant is very clean & welcoming. I had a 4 item plate: gumbo, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes & cauliflower chicken.I am extremely picky when it comes to getting vegan texture & flavor right…. and they were ON POINT! The mac n cheese was a perfect texture, not too much cheese, perfect flavor, not overbearing. The batter & sauce on that cauliflower chicken was incredible! I will certainly be traveling back any chance I’m near, they have a new fan.“

The cornmeal crust on the oysters added a different flavor that was great. The duck was melt in your mouth. The bavette was tender, well seasoned and delicious. Ours came out warm but not hot and while we chose to not send it back for refire the staff went above and beyond to apologize and offer to make it right. This restaurant should be on the top of your list, highly recommend.“

“I love Lil Dizzy’s food! The gumbo is like no other. The crawfish bisque is absolutely amazing. The fried chicken is just like my grandma’s. OMG I can go on and on, the Mac and sweet potatoes, potato salad, and so much more! You have to experience this place for yourself.“

We sat at the Chefs corner and what an absolute treat it was to see the Chef Sean Carrol and his amazing talented line chef team work perfectly in synch lay out beautifully plated and perfectly timed dishes. We had the tender crispy full flavored Boudin balls as an appetizer followed but the most delicious rabbit and dumplings entree that was perfectly seasoned. I dam near licked the plate clean and wanted seconds. Salute to the entire staff here!“

“This place should be hopping every day. The food was absolutely incredible and Misty, our server was great. We had a variety of dishes and the flavor of each of them was superb. It was definitely spicy, but we were warned it was, and the spice did not overpower the amazing flavors. This place is a definite repeat and worth going to, especially if you’re looking for something different than fried Southern. I hope this place has a long life.
