“I never had a Walmart in California, they do now though. When I moved to Mathews after Katrina, there was a small one. We were on a tight budget and it helped. I'm not a fan of big box stores. I do like the one with the bulls eye, but that's 25 minutes away. Everything is 25 minutes or more away. So this is my Walmart, my only anykind of mart choice for miles around. They built a big shiny one about 5 years ago and my eldest worked here temporarily to help set the store prior to the Grand Opening. It has a little of everything and downsized departments, only to bring them back later. I like the Thibodaux location for it's art supply variety, but my Walmart usually has what I need in a pinch. They have expanded their inventory to include more hispanic choices of food products and I like that, a lot! There's a redbox...I use it. According to friends who live waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down da bayou, they drive up to this location rather than the one in Galianno....I suppose that says something about it. There's a Subway, a beauty shop and an eye doctor inside, but no pretzels, micky D's, or banks like I've seen at other ones. It's mine, Yay! I'm a fan.“
“I was determined to find the perfect shrimp po’boy while visiting Louisiana and this amazing little place delivered. We ended up making the detour two days in a row because I liked it so much. The shrimp po’boy was a revelation. Coming from the mountain west, I have never had popcorn shrimp that plump, fresh and perfectly battered. The fish sandwich I had the next day was equally good. And don’t just take my word for it — many of the diners appeared to be locals whose orders the manager already knew. She greeted everybody with friendliness and familiarity without sacrificing speed of service.I’m so glad we made this stop. If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Houma, Louisiana, I hope you find your way to Bayou Blue Po-boys.“
“ALWAYS wonderful service with smiles and the bread is on point and never hard. Plus it's a drive through an I can't walk far. So that's a major plus ! By far the BEST Subway I have ever be to . I will drive from across town to get a sub from this location any day !!!“
“I had the Baja chicken with heavy BBQ sauce. It was really good and I recommend this sandwich if you're visiting quiznos. Pricing is much higher than Subway but this place actually packs a considerable amount of meat in their sandwiches. That said, they are a bit more pricey than subway. My 12inch sub with a small drink and chips cost nearly $15.It costs more but you will get more and better quality than Subway. The only negative I experienced is that they blanch the chicken in hot water or a broth to warm up the chicken.they do not keep the chicken in this broth for nearly long enough to properly heat the chicken. Also since they are dipping the chicken in this broth, it makes the bread soggy if you don't eat the sandwich in a timely manner. For someone that hates soggy bread, this is a pain point for me. Because of this I do not recommend ordering this sandwich to go.“
