We stopped by Abbott's for a mid afternoon refreshment. It was a great choice. The custard is fantastic. I have found it difficult to find good Frozen custard in the south. Abbott's is good quality custard!!! If you are visiting New Orleans you need to stop by Abbott's. You won't regret it. Friendly staff are helpful and courteous.
Abbott's frozen custard is a staple in Rochester NY, but I was definitely surprised to find a location in the French Quarter. The custard was just as good as I remembered it! The staff was friendly, and the place was clean and nicely decorated for the upcoming holidays. My only complaint about this location is the price. $6 for a single scoop is something that you can only get away with in a tourist town. Add another $1 for sprinkles and you quickly make to $8 after taxes.

YUM! I wanted something sweet after walking all around the French Quarter so we googled and found this spot just a few blocks from where we were. No line, friendly lady inside, I ordered the standard hot fudge sundae (no brownie) with nuts and whipped cream and a cherry. NOM! The texture of the frozen custard was rich and creamy like I like it and the sundae was the perfect size for sharing with my husband. We enjoyed it!
