Acme Oyster House Reviews
service was extremely slow, lady threw out oysters on the table n splashed me with it. Boom Boom shrimp were aweful, small and over cooked. Fried Alligator was ok. Def not worth $15. Got our food before our drinks. Asked for ranch n never got it. Boyfriend got a bloody mary and oyster shot. couldn't even drink either. asked got a souvenir shot cup n never got it. Heard good things from the reviews , so maybe it just wasn't our day. I would not go back

Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired. Our waitress barely stopped by to check on us. The food was fantastic. The charbroiled oysters were plump and meaty. The gumbo and coleslaw were both very flavorful. And the fried fish dinner was also fantastic. Is the service was anywhere near the quality of the food I would recommend 100%.

Acme Oyster House is a longstanding restaurant in New Orleans known for its skilled shucker. The raw oysters are perfectly chilled, fresh, and briny, just what customers want in Gulf oysters. The chargrilled oysters, drenched in garlic butter and topped with the right amount of cheese, are a must-try, served with white bread for sopping up the flavorful garlicky sauce. The gumbo has a fabulous dark roux, and the fried platters, including fried crawfish po-boys, gator tails, fried crab claws, and fried soft shell crab, are both satisfying and hearty. Customers can enjoy a New Orleans Medley and BOOM BOOM SHRIMP, all served with a lively NOLA vibe by the friendly staff. The food is seasoned to perfection, with some dishes like the fried crab claws and grilled oysters receiving special praise. Even those who usually dislike oysters find the chargrilled oysters delicious. The restaurant offers good value with relatively low prices and big portions, making it popular among locals and visitors alike. The fried crab claws are especially praised for their crispy batter and succulent meat, while the boom boom shrimp with sweet house sauce are a favorite. The restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, including knowledgeable staff, add to the overall experience, making it a go-to spot for hearty, flavorful seafood in New Orleans.
