Lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food!Staff were very friendly, we got a number of small plates including new dishes for us, alligator bites and collard greens. Everything was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and informed the staff who gave us a complimentary glass of champagne, which was a lovely surprise. If you are visiting New Orleans, would definitely recommend adding Cochin to your list of restaurants to try.

Excellent food and service at the restaurant. TASTY! We had the oyster, save some bread for dipping once the oysters are gone. Short ribs are awesome! It cut like butter and the sauce ... Flavors are great.

What a fantastic restaurant and experience. I went with friends but I am a vegetarian and I knew there wouldn't be a wide variety for me and came prepared to just have Mac and cheese sides. However after I informed the waiter that I do not eat meat, he told me the chefs will come up with something for me! Which was just so great to hear. The dish they gave me was a surprise dish but it was absolutely AMAZING. Fried baby eggplants in a corn veggie mix with what I believe was a balsamic/vinegar mix. It was absolutely delish. The Mac and cheese was also amazing and so was the peach crumble. Our server whose name I unfortunately can not remember was very nice and gave everyone at the table excellent suggestions and he knew his stuff when asked what it was. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A great taste of New Orleans cuisine! I was here with my husband for our wedding anniversary and the staff was super sweet and even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne! We ordered the pork porterhouse with collard greens and Mac n cheese and it was delicious! The staff was amazing and they were very accommodating to my soy allergy. Food was a bit salty but delicious nonetheless!Dietary restrictions: Soy allergy friendly

The fried boudin was some of the best that I ever had. The short rib beef pie was done to perfection. The crust was buttery and flaky. The bourbon flight was one of kind also. All 3 were some of Kentucky's finest

A super bright and welcoming space with a great hostess staff and our waiter Mike, a former NYer, was fantastic and you must ask to be seated at one of his tables!!!We were seated away from the main dining room which we didn't mind but I forgot to mention when I booked that I would be ordering for 6 ppl, no joke, even though only 2 of us were dining so a 2 top was too small for us but still all good. The only thing I just found to be just OK...were the boudin meatballs. Maybe because I'm a purist when it comes to boudin, idk... But for me a simply perfectly grilled boudin where the center was split open for me to early scoop the goodness out into a piece of toasted bread with a bit of spicy sweet mustard is pretty freaking close to an orgasm. The balls were all seasoned boudin mixture rolled into perfect balls and fried. The frying just takes away the boudin flavor and it was just a mushy meatball texturally to both of us.The house made head cheese was unctuous and really well balanced in both seasonings and head meat vs. gelatin ratio. Can't go wrong with an order of crackling with a side of the local Steen's cane syrup to dip in, and their gumbo was spicy just enough!Ordered their famous rabbit & dumplings stew: tender rabbit meat in a creamy thick gravy and the dumplings are toasted on top so you feel like you're having both biscuit and dumpling in one.The Louisiana Cochon chop was one of the best we've had! Succulent and perfectly grilled! Will definitely be back every time we're in town!

Eat with mice. These creatures were literally scurrying around in the dining room. I told the hostess and she said, "It's New Orleans." No apology, no embarrassment, no sympathy with my completely horrified nightmare of an experience. Do not go here unless you think it's only natural to eat with mice running around your feet - because hey, it's New Orleans.

one of the best restaurants in all of NOLA. of all the food we got during this visit, the quality and value really was fantastic. Nick, our waiter, took time to explain the menu, questions we had, and give us related recommendations.our service was some of the best we experienced in the city. Cochon’s appetizers, entrees, and desserts are all good choices.we got a charcuterie board, complimentary bread, empanada, oysters, rabbit stew, and a cobbler.

We cannot say enough about our visit tonight. We are traveling and only spending one night here and I’m so glad we picked this place for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar (didn’t want to wait for a table) and so very happy we did. Jason, Mickey and the other bartender (I’m sooo sorry I didn’t hear his name) they were all absolutely fabulous. They asked a lot of questions and made excellent recommendations based on our likes and, in my case, sensitivities. I did not feel deprived at all with my great meal and drinks. We will definitely visit next time we are in town. Food and atmosphere are great, but these 3 guys take it to another level. Thank you for contributing to my birthday vacation.

Food is great, excellent choice of drinks. Jason the bartender was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Really enjoyed the hogs head cheese and slow roasted pork belly. The pricing is pretty decent too. With an appetizer, a special and wine still didn't hit 40 bucks.

We needed to eat ASAP, after being on the road for 7 hours. It was 6 minutes in walking distance from our hotel, so we decided to try it! It looked packed, but we sat at the bar so we wouldn’t have to wait. The service was quick, the staff was super nice and cool!! We even saw Sherri Shepherd! This is Essence Fest weekend, therefore I was so surprised to get seated right away, and have our food to come out super fast and hot! It was so good. We had the alligator and beef ribs with grits! The beef was so good and tender! The bartenders, Jason, Mike, and Wyatt took good care of my husband and I. Oh, and the drink was good too!! We were half way finished with our meals before we thought to take a picture. ? I love this place and will return!! Maybe tomorrow…?

Service was great, our waiter took the time to explain all the dishes and made excellent recommendations. We had the braised greens, Mac and cheese, short rib, red fish, gumbo and the star of the show was the GRILLED OYSTERS. I know what you're thinking..."I can get those anywhere," and you're correct, but they won't be served in a bath of chili garlic butter sauce. Get the Oysters, and dip some of that delicious bread they bring you in it. It's life changing...be sure to thank me later. Photos don't do it justice.

The food was good, I had the alligator, cucumber and herbs, and cracklins, and my wife got the grilled shrimp. We had a 5:45 reservation and were finally seated at 6:20 on a Tuesday night with 6 people. The waitress was nice but took a lot longer than expected to take our order. She did keep the drinks refilled, and the food came out hot and correct. The serving size was a little small, but the prices were on the expensive side.

BLUF: Wonderful pies, braises, and bread.I've always heard rabbit meat is very lean, but our server was very confident that it's one of their top dishes. They were right! Lots of rabbit meat throughout the potpie-esque casserole with rustic chunks of potatoes and carrots coated in a delicious gravy. The meat was super tender, the vegetables were soft but had body to it still, and the dumplings topper was beautifully browned. They served fresh rolls with the Wild Wood Fire Oyster to sop up the butter sauce. A slather of whipped butter, and then dipped in the sauce? My goodness my dude!! Last but not least, the Crawfish Hand Pie. A crawfish étouffée enveloped in a flaky, buttery, deep-fried shell. MMM! Slap your thigh good! Three of these to-go and you'll have a super lunch.
