Small unassuming hole in the wall restaurant with phenomenal muffalletta. The roast beef Po’Boy was delicious also. This place was recommended by one of our tour guides as one of the best places to get a Po’Boy. It did not disappoint.

I dunno. I don’t get it. Our concierge told us these were the best in town bar none and he was right on everything else he suggested, except this. We had the alligator sausage and voodoo shrimp po boys. The bread was good, sandwich as a whole seemed over rated and a lousy setting. Oh well. We found some we loved at Napoleon house, half block away.

This place was repeatedly mentioned in guides to NOLA, but a tour guide recommendation pushed us to it—and it was well worth it! I’ll be dreaming of the sauce from the “Voodoo Shrimp Po-Boy” for a while!

Wow. The alligator gator po boy and gumbo was delicious. They do a great job! It is a packed and busy place but worth the wait. They close earlier than you expect and take cash only.

Was walking past and stopped in for quick breakfast eats. Had breakfast tortilla, cup of grits. Was very good, at a very reasonable cost. Friendly staff and other diners. Stop in for quick, simple food.

Best po-boys... We've been eating here for a number of years. Our go-to especially for breakfast po-boys. The best bread ever...made locally in NOLA. Not sure why they didn't have Bloody Mary's this time...they have had in the past....but sandwiches still worth the visit.

We stopped in for a Lo-boy base do. Th good reviews. We were lucky to get a table with many people either standing or waiting for a table. It was cash only payments. I went with the half po-boy and seafood gumbo combo and it was very filling. I thought the food was good but was expecting something fantastic based on reviews. I have had some better zoo-boys and gumbo in NOLA, but still worth a visit and would go again.

We came her for breakfast and we sure were glad we did! It is a small restaurant with limited seating. The portions are large, room to share type of food. The bread had an ideally crunchy crust and chewy interior that held the whole sandwich together perfectly, I was very impressed! If you are in the french quarter area, I would highly recommend! I believe you have to pay in cash though, so be prepared!

Johnny's was suggested to us by our hotel and we really enjoyed the food and the locals type atmosphere. They don't take credit cards, so worth knowing that.

Simple, friendly, and delicious. Since the 1950's Johnny's has always pleased my friends & family and still does. Plain, down home NOLA eating happiness at a fair price.

Worst shrimp po boy ever!!! A lot of bread! NO remoulade sauce!!! They used mayonnaise instead.. Trip Advisor rated Johnny's #14 when requesting Best Po-Boy in the French Quarter. I generally only write reviews of restaurants we love; however, Johnies was extremely underwhelming.

Everyone should try a Po-boys sandwich - it’s nothing like anything else you find elsewhere. The bread is kinda French bread but not with a hard crust - a little like subway white bread. What is interesting is the contents of the sandwich - I had alligator sausage and roast beef sandwiches. The sides were seafood gumbo and red beans. All very good local food staples.

Traveled all the way from Washington state to try my first Po Boy in the south. Soft shell crab was so bomb I almost cried!
