Surprisingly, a fusion that really works is Israeli and Southern food at Shaya. Located along Magazine Street, it's a small restaurant with inviting staff. Truthfully one of the best meals that my wife and I have ever experienced in our time together. We went for her birthday and the food was outstanding!! Our sever was amazing and gave us great recommendations. Every bite we took was better than the next. True standouts was the bread service and hummus with lamb ragu and hummus with fried chicken. Dessert was also fabulous! All around an amazing dining experience and whenever we return to New Orleans we will certainly be going again!
