The inside is nice and clean. The only thing it could of had some Parmesan on the top. But other then that it was very good.”

They didn’t have the original flavor I wanted, but the barista was kind enough to share their favorite (rum barrel<not listed on the chalkboard; may not always be available) . It was splendid!”

“I've passed by this place quite a bit, and finally stopped in today. They have desserts, breakfast, and lunch. The atmosphere is pretty relaxing. I got the Korean BBQ poboy, and it was absolutely AMAZING!!!! It was seasoned well with a slight kick of spice. All the flavors came together beautifully on a perfectly soft bun! My only regret is, that I didn't get two of them!!!!”

“Met a friend for lunch here. I had a bowl of white bean and turkey gumbo and she had a shrimp salad. While the "gumbo" might sound unusual everything about it was delicious-flavor, consistency, portion size. My friend's salad was ample with plenty of shrimp and a variety of complimentary vegetables to make it interesting and flavorful. The ranch dressing was ranch but appeared to be made in house. She loved it. Friendly, accommodating service added to the casual, comfortable atmosphere.”

“Food is amazing, hot, fresh and timely. The service was great and very friendly. The building it self is almost hidden in visuals that it's a restaurant. It's interior is old and outdated but it gives cafeteria vibes. But the food makes you forget all those things.Parking: Gravel section to left of the building.”

“Listen yall.... we NEVER find food in La Place THIS GOOD. They make baked beans.. TRY THEM. They aren't your average baked beans. I was blown away by the explosion of flavor that smacked my lips when my wife gave me a bite. Gumbo is off the charts. They also sell their own hot sauce in house as well as other things like smoked sausages and spices. Definitely a hole in the wall that I'm glad we gave a try. We will be back!”

“I went in to get Okra. I found out they serve Okra on Fridays. The Okra was mushy and overcooked with no seasoning. It was disgusting. I had to throw it away after two bites. The server at the bar where I waited for the takeout was rude. This was a totally bad experience. ?”

“The food was excellent. However, the manager, I guess, spoke to all the tables except the ones with black people. Literally spoke to white couples on either side of us and passed us right by. I'm not concerned, honestly. Just thought it was super rude. The fried ice cream had soggy frosted flakes on it. But we picked them off.”

“There is not much in this cute little town. Fatty's is a great place for lunch. You will have a crowd till a little past 12:00 noon. Many plant worker flock here for their daily lunch. You will not go away hungry. We love the shrimp po boy with the large shrimp we split it with fries. Their hamburgers are great. They also sell cocktails. So come on down.”

“My favorite Chinese restaurant of 20 years closed so I was looking for another! Saw where they had won 2022 - 2024 awards for best Chinese restaurant in Laplace. I ordered $65+ food and was not disappointed! Everything was perfect! As I was walking with a cane, the staff helped me carry everything to the car. It has now become my favorite Chinese restaurant!”

“The customer service here is amazing. They have someone open the door for you. You’re greater by every staff member there. They were so welcoming. I actually didn’t eat, I stopped in to use the restroom because the restroom at the gas station next door was out of order. Everyone was so polite, welcoming, friendly, & had smiles on their faces. The energy was so happy and positive. I was disappointed my family missed out on eating here. We stayed at the hotel across the street and slept in. Definitely plan on eating here if we ever come back to visit!”

“Excellent service. The same for their food. It's a family affair. Met Mother and Sonny, one of her sons. We see Sonny from time to time when on break from college. Nice atmosphere and as I said, the food is excellent.”

“Good was actually delicious. Service was a bit iffy. I called to place my order, the first time I was put on hold for over 5mins. The second time I called in, my order was taken immediately. I wanted the Mac and cheese but they were out of it. No biggie it was like 7:30pm and they close at 9 I think. So I got the red beans and potato salad which was AMAZING. The flavor was good. A bit greasy but nothing a napkin couldn't dap off. Next time I'll opt of the lemon, because I am not a fan of lemon on my seafood. So if that's the only compliment I have then that tells you a great deal. Will definitely recommend if you're ever in the Laplace area and look for hot food. I paid $15.14 for all of this and it was worth every penny.”

“Going on vacation to Louisiana and I am obsessed with Mexican food back home but had been previously disappointed by some restaraunts around, but this place had it all while also being a nice quiet environment you could enjoy, sweet servers and great food, only reason food is a 4 star is because I personally think the salsa tastes too sweet at the start and others at my table agreed but it was still very tasty.”
