Hubs and I stopped for lunch while remodeling a building down the street. We both got the chopped beef bbq sandwich with two sides. The food was fantastic but a little different from the standard bbq joints. Their potato salad is similar to the consistency of large grits, which is something to adjust to but the taste was good. The beans and the sandwich were amazing. We’ll definitely be back for more. We also had the lemon icebox pie and it was delicious.
Best chopped beef bbq sandwich hands down! There are daily specials that are delicious, too! I have been eating here for 50 years. Yes, you may step back in time to the 70s music and style of decor but it is always comfortable, clean, and relaxing. The ladies there are always kind and they have done a great job carrying down this favorite tradition in Shreveport.

The food was OK. I loved the smoked chicken. The brisket was a little dry and could have had at least a LITTLE fat on it. The BBQ sauce was vinegary. I didn't feel they found a good place between tangy and sweet. Everything else on the other hand, was WAY too sweet. Someone needs to take the sugar bowl away from whoever is making the sides. I also felt the plates were overpriced.
