7 Best Vegan Restaurants in Slidell

“My first time trying Southside Café after passing it a thousand times, and after reviewing the reviews, I had to try. Sure enough, I see why everyone is ecstatic about Southside Café. This place is Phenomenal!! I had the Ribeye Philly and it was Spot On, and it was so tender. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan and said it was prepared perfectly. The staff was friendly and fast and the restaurant was really clean. However, be prepared to wait a while because on a Saturday night it was very busy & by the way, the Menu Selection of food and beverages is nearly endless. Now the Price. In today's world of high prices, I was surprised to see that Southside Cafe was able to keep their prices very affordable. This is definitely a restaurant I will be going back to again in the near future. Y'all check them out and see what you think.“

“This week alone I’ve ordered fromCopeland’s/Slidell twice for my family of 4 and I must say money well spent. I ordered to go both times, once during the week where I pickup my order up and the second time today Saturday5-4-24 I had it delivered. Well the order was delivered and it wasn’t presentable like before. I called up and spoke to the manager whose name Michael and he was ready to hear my complaint. After hearing what I had to say about my order he offered me two option without question and I can tell that Michael believed that my order should have been made with care and not carelessness. Some people would have taken option A but because I feel like Michael and Copeland’s usually get it right the first time so I choose option B which was a remake of our entire order. I arrived to the restaurant to pickup my order and it was hot and ready. Michael came and greeted me plus he made sure I was satisfied and he offered an apology for my first order and I really did appreciate him for coming out during that busy time in the restaurant. I brought my first order back to the restaurant but I was allowed to keep it. I did not include what was wrong with my order in this review because it’s not necessary because when it’s busy, mistakes can happen easily. you so very much.Parking: Great lighting at night and spacious. Vehicles with trailers attached could find parking further in the back but I believed it’s much lighting pass the Coplands restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a large ramp with awning to protect you from rain at the front door.“

“This is exactly one of those places you want to find. A good build your own pizza place that makes a quality pie, and the service is exceptionally fast. But let's go back a little bit, I took a railroad crew to New Orleans, and was starving, so this is what I found. I didn't have high expectations, being located at a large shopping center, but my perception was about to be challenged. I walked in, and the first surprise was how pro-veteran and military service they are. I love how they keep a place setting open to honor the Fallen Soldier. Very classy! I ordered a 2 topping pizza, and settled on pepperoni and pineapple, as it's a combo I enjoy. The staff quickly assembled the pizza and showed it to me before throwing it into the oven. It looked delicious, so it got my approval. I paid for the pizza and a drink, and chose a table to wait for the pizza, which was handed to me in a few minutes time. So fast! I opened the box and the pleasing aroma of the pizza overtook me, as it was piping hot. After letting it cool a bit, I ate a slice, which all of the ingredients tasted fresh, and the crust was flavorful and crispy. The fountain coke was a perfect compliment to the amazing pizza! No complaints. I will definitely eat here again following another New Orleans trip.“

“This was our first time at the restaurant. It was delicious. The best Italian food we have ever had: from the bread, the olive oil/garlic dip, spinach dip, and both entrees were chicken/veal Parmesan. We will definitely be repeat customers!“

“They cut out many options they used to have. Staff barely pays attention to anything you have to say. There is only one size bowl & of course it is large. Quality overall has gone down while the price continues to rise. It may be due to inflation or shortages, but to me the food & even experience as a whole is not worth the cost. Will probably not much longer in my opinion.“

“The food is great, I'm always trying to get a spot on the balcony. Being a transplant from New Orleans, it's nice to have a piece of home right in the middle of slidell on the bustling Gause Ave. My favorite is the soft shell poboy. I can't pass up a good sandwich. Not to mention, the menu is packed with flavor. Great bar, good prices, and gorgeous views.“

“Ordered a kale, kiwi & Apple smoothie. The color was green and the flavor was good.I went through the drive thru. I was serviced promptly. When I drove around there was one car ahead of me bet they were also serviced quickly. The wait time was very small. I appreciate the courtesy and quickness of my order.“
