“I’ve had several people I work with that told me I HAVE to try for lunch so I did.It’s a great little southern dive with a southern feel and plenty of southern hospitality. There’s a nice lady near the door playing an organ and the lunch was a buffet style plate. I’m sure they have a different selection every day so there’s likely something for everyone.However, the lunch was a little pricey at nearly $20. I’m glad I went for business where the company was paying for lunch. I can’t justify paying that for lunch. The locals didn’t seem to mind at all as they were packed when I went.I will likely return for a menu item because I enjoy that type food and atmosphere.“
“We went with a large party. The dining room had a lot of room to accommodate and move tables around. The service was friendly while ordering. The food came out quickly and was correct for the whole group. Good place to eat and a good experience.“
“Shane Jerry, Mia and the hostess (unfortunately did not get her name) were outstanding. Monroe, La. We walked into Cracker Barrel and the young man a good 3-4 feet ahead of us waited and held the door for us. Later after we were seated Sean end up being our server. He was truly outstanding. This is comfort food straight out of maw maws kitchen and the love put into it is evident! If this isn’t your lunch spot, it should be. “Went here at the recommendation of Mt client I was visiting. I took them to lunch and I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken as it was the Monday special. It was delicious! The server seemed to not be ready to handle the lunch rush. I will be back “
“Originally opened in 1928. We always look for the local none chain restaurants when we travel. This place is hands above any chain restaurant. Grits made with butter and water. Biscuits and gravy were great. Loved the local patrons. Reasonable prices! Staff was wonderful.“
“We had SUCH an enjoyable time at the Eli bar with August! He was such a knowledgeable bartender and we enjoyed his company so much. My husband is sober and he was willing to make accommodations and work with him to create delicious drinks he could enjoy too! We will definitely be back soon!!“
