“This one hardly needs a review because there's always a line and for good reason. We are obsessed with the yellow rice, and usually get the plate with chicken or falafel. An awesome meal. The sauces are super and the hots are very spicy! Love the pickled vegetables too. A local staple that I hope will remain for a long time.“
“Wherever I travel I seek out local family businesses and food experiences. Pita Pockets is my favorite falafal of many I've tried over many miles. Every time I come to NoHo I stop here at least once or twice on a weekend trip. The flavors are unique, the vegan falafals are generous in serving and best of all the people behind the counter serve up a smile and advice on how to build your falafal! I just have to remember you can't put a tip on the credit card so from now on it is cash only to take care of people that take care of me! YUM!“
“A little off the beaten path - that is, on a side street off of Main - is this small unprepossessing eatery. But what a pleasant find! Terrific falafels, gyros, baba ganoush, hummus, kabobs, and more - all delicious and served in a friendly welcoming manner. The proprietors are Syrian and they give these popular dishes a different - but good! - twist. For desserts, they have baklava of course, but also try their Syrian harissa (yes, harissa - not the chili paste, but in Syria it's the name of a semolina and rose water-scented syrup dessert). I had their gyro plate and it was very tasty; my wife's falafel pita wrap was equally good - nice fluffy and crisp falafels and a smoky baba ganoush; and my daughter really enjoyed the chicken kabob wrap. We'll definitely be back!“
