“The food is excellent. Very hospitable staff. Nice, cozy place to have a meal alone or with your family. Out of many places I've been to, this one reminds me of home. Good job guys!”
“We used Ovenbird Cafe for a catered private event in Belmont. The catering manager was super friendly and easy to work with. The servers they sent to our site were professional, friendly, and knew how to work such an event. The food was all high quality and delicious, and our guests raved about it too. Thank you, Ovenbird Cafe catering, for helping make our event a success.”
“Fantastic food. Tastes oh so fresh. A little constrained on space, and in terms of parking. But I will drive here for a good burger/sandwich. So that speaks to how amazing this place is. Can't wait to go back again....and again..”
“Great place for Thai food in the Belmont/Watertown area. While they do a lot of takeout orders, their dine in experience was really great. The pad see-ew was delicious and their spring rolls and gyoza were very good as well. Try the Mango over ice for a nice drink pairing.”
“Absolutely outstanding chicken kebab. Perfectly marinated and cooked. Can’t wait to come back and try the lamb shish kebab. The seating area is modest because most of their business is catering, but it’s pleasant as are the staff.”
“This place is mostly takeout, not dine-in. We tried to dine in anyway because there were tables and we were ready to eat. The food comes quickly as most TexMex choices share the same building blocks -- and thus the food was mostly already prepared when we ordered. The food was tasty, but not as good as TexMex in Texas.”
“Often come here after playing pickleball down the street, great refresh after a workout. Service is friendly. Best avocado smoothie I’ve had, they put actual avocado in. Delicious!”
“I've been watching Dave's videos for weeks and didn't realize he stopped by here till I got to the door and saw the sign! Well everything about it lives up to the hype. I didn't try the cheese but the pepperoni was fantastic! The owner is a very nice guy and his pizza deserves the 8.1.”
“It's a little coffee shop inside of the book store and it honestly feels quite quiant. Super friendly staff. The iced coffee tasted great and while it's something fairly simple, my toasted bagel was done just right. If I'm ever around the area again and looking for a coffee, Black Bear will definitely be where I head to.”
“Savinos is a local gem. I've been here for celebratory dinners in the past, both pre- and during the pandemic, and everything has been delicious with great service in a classy (if a bit dated) atmosphere. Lately I've been enjoying their lunch, which is a great price (entrees around $15) for high quality meals that satisfy more than your typical sandwich of the same price in the area. I have a number of dietary restrictions (mostly gluten and dairy free), and they've been able to accommodate them while not compromising on quality. The grilled salmon is one meal I would get again and again. It comes with a refreshing salad alongside a red potato salad that's very lightly dressed with mayonnaise, just what I prefer. The steak is another good option for gluten and dairy free folks. It's easy to substitute items with more veggies. While I've enjoyed just about everything I've had there, sometimes they add a bit too much finishing oils, making some dishes too oily. My mom, who is a particular eater, loves the flatbread (toppings are a rotating special). She found the pasta bolognese to be a bit one note, though, with not much other ingredients. They don't have gf/df desserts, but I couldn't resist taking a bite of my mom's crème caramel. It is deliciously creamy! Reminds me of desserts in Paris when I could eat whatever I wanted. There's street parking and some outdoor seating for warmer months. If you do want to come for lunch, be sure to make a reservation on their website -- I think they still require them. We've also called them to get takeout, which has been super easy. Still, I prefer going in person to have a slice of elegant calm.”
“Delicious food and wonderful service! We come here every Friday evening with our kids and we love the menu. We enjoy supporting a family owned business and look forward to coming back next Friday!”
“Mark & Toni's delivers a legit and excellent take on the classic New York pizza slice - elevated significantly with their coal fired oven. If you order a whole pizza the selection of toppings is comprehensive. But it's their authentic Greek-inspired sandwich and kabob selections that are absolutely off the hook! The house dressing is killer and I love using it to dip the souvlaki or other sandwiches. It's a wonderful local spot for Belmont. But it's totally worth the drive from elsewhere to check out the tremendous food.”
“The perfect old school diner. The coffee is great, my eggs were poached perfectly and the corn beef hash was exactly what I needed. My server, Chris, was super quick, friendly and made great recommendations - most importantly, she refilled my coffee before I could even ask. I’m so happy to see a local business thrive and am excited to come back soon.”
“Everytime I walk in and Dine in the Food is Always Fresh,Always hot and Always Good here's the thing I never Tip any Restaurant in Dorchester but This Restaurant is the FIRST Time I have ever Tipped 10 Dollars and More because the Food is THAT Good if anyone is in Cambridge this Restaurant Deserves ”
“A gorgeous restaurant in the heart of Belmont Center. The restored firehouse building is absolutely stunning inside and out and suites the vibe of Il Casale perfectly. The food is good. It's authentic Italian. It's changed over the years. It may have been better in the early years, but it's still good. The service has been pretty darned good over the years, but upon last visit, 03/27/24, I was simply amazed at the kindness, which started at the front door with the host. Everyone was kind, genuine, confident, and knowledgeable.”
