Alcove is a hidden gem with a great outdoor seating area and stunning views of the garden, Zakim Bridge, and Bunker Hill monument. The food is good, with options like corn soup, chicken cooked under a brick, and monkfish Milanese. The new menu offers some fun and different selections, and the ribs are highly recommended as they are unique and must-try dishes. The restaurant provides small plate tapas, including $1 oysters from 3 to 5:00, which did not disappoint. The beer and wine selections are also impressive, with an excellent Wachau Riesling from the great list. The location is very convenient, being just a short walk from North Station. While service can sometimes be slow, attentive staff, including the chef's team, make up for it by providing excellent care. Guests can enjoy a delicious meal on the large terrace before heading to a TD Garden event. The atmosphere is lovely, with fabulous views and friendly, attentive service. The drinks are unique and delicious, with the Milk Punch a must-try. Diners can enjoy the Branzino, Pannela salad, dumplings, and smoked pate, all described as so delicious. The bartender was attentive, and the bar allowed for conversation. Alcove is tasty and surprisingly affordable, especially when ordering main plates. Service was timely and very smooth. The interior and exterior are nicely set up with large tables. The prix fixe dinner, including spinach salad, steak fries, and churros, was very good and reasonably priced. The wine list is excellent with prices to match. Outdoor seating has a great view of the water and bridges.
