Bootleg Special Reviews
Had my first visit to Bootleg Special last night and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal, from the creative drinks to the delicious appetizers to the fantastic main course was outstanding. Our server, Alex, was attentive and very pleasant. And last, but certainly not least, the beignets after dinner were spectacular. Looking forward to my next visit!
The atmosphere is like nothing I've ever experienced at a restaurant of this class. The decor is so cool & unique. Our waitress Chantelle was perfection. She rolled with my boyfriend's quips & even had some hilarious responses! The food was incredible! The scallops were the best I've ever had, and I'm from Boston & Quincy Ma where we have some amazing ones! The beef garlic pasta was unbelievable. The wings were amazing. They make amazing cocktails. I had a REAL margarita! Great...read full review

Bootleg Special is a hidden gem perfect for special occasions or date night. The service is top-notch, and the staff is friendly. They offer fabulous brunch options and fresh seafood, including excellent gumbo and flavorful shrimp and grits. The restaurant has a cool vibe with a great cocktail list, featuring Negronis, espresso martinis, and lychee martinis. Guests can enjoy great drinks, creative food, and well-shucked dollar oysters on Thursdays. The live jazz band and occasional performances add to the amazing, low-lit ambiance.
Bootleg Special is renowned for their southern cuisine, with standout dishes like souffle pancakes (apple streusel and strawberry creme), bread pudding, and garlic noodles. The menu changes often but keeps favorites like the NOLA shrimp etoufee and vodka cajun chicken. While slightly pricey, the shareable plates and decadent desserts, like the dessert tower, make it worth it. Whether for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this place delivers fantastic food and a soothing charm. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike.
