We took a friend to Mistral to celebrate his birthday tonight and our waiter, Leni, made the evening so special! He was very attentive but let us set the pace, he was always available to attend to our needs but we never felt rushed. He recognized that we were celebrating a birthday and had a dessert sent to our table, complete with a candle, so that we could celebrate in style. Had not eaten at Mistral in about 10 years. I had a wonderful previous experience when last there. So, being back in Boston, I took my son to Mistral last night. The experience was as wonderful as I remembered. Service was outstanding, we sat at the bar. Food was fantastic, we had the tenderloin, mashed potatoe, truffle oil pizza, rack of lamb and duck with a wild mushroom risotto. Great wine selections. Still must be considered one of the best dining experiences in Boston.

Had a great time celebrating my wife last night. The venue and parking was easy for a Monday night. Bobby our waiter was awesome. He was fun, polite and he checked in on us at all the right times. The food was really good and the service was good, although a tad bit slow (but that gave us more time to talk and relax so not a huge ding). If you're thinking about it, just go. It's worth it.
